It was lovely but had a couple of issues no communication between server and chef I ordered I kids meal without beans and received beans and I didnt get any tomatoes on my food that wasn't the problem it was when I told the server what happened she surged her shoulders and said I don't know then walked away so I just left

What a great place great food and lovely staff. Had breakfast on way home from the coast, and bought goodies for later at home. The best cheese and tomato quiche we've had and fabulous scotch egg will be back for sure.

Fabulous place , just called in on the off chance and was well impressed, with food cleanliness and staff , you must try it

Popped in for a breakfast sandwich, it was amazing and with everything free range you couldn't ask for more. My sandwich filled me up until tea time. You really do get plenty in your sandwich.

Excellent breakfast and a good price. Home produced sausages, bacon, and black pudding are gorgeous. Well worth the trip from Leeds, especially as we were collecting some of their fantastic free range pork.

Amazing independent cafe and takeaway with some cracking food and produce. I recommend the breakfasts and sarnies! Simply the best. Stop here for food and if you need fuel, there's a garage down the road.

Was looking forward to going here for breakfast and shopping to stock my fridge up with their delicious produce But when we arrived about 12.15 the lady who was extremely miserable and abrupt started switching all the lights off as we were eating I asked what was going on and she said she wanted to close She seemed very inconvenienced to have us in there as she was putting everything away I stated that I wanted to do some shopping and she scowled Didn’t have time to do much shopping as it was witnessed that every time I asked for an item on display she turned her back scowling . I have never met such a rude assistant. She ruined my day There was fresh produce on display and when I asked for another item she scowled not for sale !!!!!!!! What are the opening hours and why do you allow her to treat customers badly plus she’s trying to get them out the door . Very weird I’m afraid you lost a lot of custom yesterday and I’m very upset and disappointed Do not recommend

Wanted to try lunch here for a while. Went at 12.00. Unfortunately they were only doing breakfast all day, no specials or sandwiches. So a little disappointed ending up with a bacon and sausage sandwich which was average.

We pulled in here knowing of its existence, first time here service was fast and we both liked the "whole hog" breakfast which was a reasonable price

Lovely breakfast but either much to large or child size. Good coffee. Great fresh bacon, sausage and pork burgers and a few other farm shop items.

After finishing our holiday we called at happy Anna's for a well deserved treat .It never disappoints ,good food ,Freindly service and helpful staff .Well done ladies ,see you all again

The meat is good but the opening times are unclear and quite strange. For example, the cafe closes at 12.30pm on Sundays, just when you want to eat. They close early during the week too. The staff seem uncomfortable with the early closing, if their abrupt manner is anything to go by. They do sell raw meat from the fridge until 1pm.

I’ve called in several times for their absolutely superb homemade scones - the best I’ve ever tasted,. However, on a couple of occasions they had sold out. I mentioned I’d be passing 3 days later and, as soon as I walked in, one of their young delightful assistants handed me the scones already wrapped. They had put them on one side just in case I was able to pop in. Their customer service is first class! All the assistants and of course, Anna, the scone maker, are friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to provide excellent service. Well done! I hope this review doesn’t leave me ‘sconeless’ next time I visit!

Called on the way back from Bridlington to pick up some meat. We were tempted to buy some amazing looking sausage rolls which we bought, when Anna's pick up pulled up with a Lady (Anna maybe) & Young Gentleman (Son?) came in behind the counter. The young man proceeded to touch each of the sausage rolls on display to maybe feel for a warm one but then decided upon having a Scotch Egg. Put us off a little...

Whilst travelling through Howden I had to stop at a local garage for a puncture repair and had spotted this place opposite. Did a bit of Googling and a really fancied a nice breakfast so popped over at 9.15am and ordered a sausage sandwich with egg and tea - given the provenance of Anna's Happy brand of free ranging pork and meat products I was looking forward to a nice succulent specialty flavored sausage and free range egg. What I got was a bap full of what I think was yesterdays catering sausages that had been warmed up - the skins were black and crispy, the sausages were dry with hardly any flavor and the egg was overdone and dry. The mug of tea was quite small and there was no heating on in the cafe whatsoever (sat next to a radiator but it was stone cold) and it was very cold. So much potential but such a disappointment - I think I would have had a nicer breakfast from the butty van next to the furniture factory across the road.

The shop is small but all super interesting produce jars of things I’ll definitely keep coming back for to cook with. And lovely seeing local brands being shown! A nice wee find and shocked I haven’t found it sooner since moving to the area!

As we travelled up from Staffordshire to the North Yorkshire Coast, we always stop off at Anna’s Happy Kitchen. I am so surprised at the negative reviews on here, their experiences are none like any we have had, and we have been there many times. The place is spotlessly clean, with a friendly hello, the minute you walk through the door. Yesterday, as always, the food was wonderful, piping hot and good quality. We purchased some of their fabulous free range bacon and sausages to take home. We cannot get this sort of quality and taste where we live! Their prices are not high, they are value for money for quality products. Yes, there are cheaper places, but not offering like for like quality. These are hard times for businesses and good ones like Anna’s need our support. They will always have ours!

We visited this cafe on our way to Scarborough for a weekend break. I gave my order to an unsmiling waitress who seemed to be under pressure whilst serving. She gave me the card machine to pay and whilst she was dealing with the next customer my payment was approved and the receipt came through. She took the machine away and I went back to my table. Within a minute she came to me and in a loud voice said "your payment has not gone through" I said that it had and that she took the receipt. I said I wasn't paying again as it definitely said that payment was approved. I went back to the counter and made her look through all the receipts but she was busy. She did bring our food to the table and again I told I was not paying twice. She then said"oh it's sorted now" no apology was given. As I was leaving the cafe another customer said she had seen the machine give a receipt out. A very bad customer experience with this waitress who needs to go back and learn customer skills again and of course learn how to smile. Oh and a week later my statement came and showed the payment was taken. See if this gets a reply.

Called in for some lunch with our adult son. The place was empty so perhaps should have realised it wasn’t going to be great. Ordered two pork and apple baguettes with crisps and scrambled egg on toast. The ‘Chef’ came and took two packs of pork from the fridge, warmed them up and stuck in a stale baguette, suggested some gravy would be nice, ‘we don’t do gravy’! Dry horrible food accompanied by a bag of crisps off the shelf. Toast burnt and eggs like rubber. £20 for the pleasure, paid before it were served. Terrible! Will not be visiting again.

On our way home from the coast fancied a teacake and a coffee But not at these prices £3.25 for a teacake with butter and jam we are not made of money settled for a drink of cola was presented with two bottles NO GLASSES OR STRAWS were offered will not be going to this cafe again. TEACAKES in the supermarket are four for 89p. what a mark up.

Brilliant place, we stopped with the kids for a quick bite to eat. All food was cooked fresh and tasted great. Ploughman’s and the quiche were lovely and the staff super Great little place

This is our regular stop on the way to visit family and never had a bad breakfast. Have always found the staff to be friendly and the food hot and plentiful . Toilets have also always been clean

Came across Anna's Happy Kitchen quite unexpectedly earlier today when I was delivering in that area. Unbelievably pleasant & engaging staff, who made me a take away box of ham salad which was absolutely spot on. Fantastic place. Steve

Simple and delicious food here, had try the pork and Apple baguette and they are good, at least to my taste

We were first in at 9 am, breakfast lovely and cracking shop, bought some meat, mayo and Marmalade, staff very friendly, recommend it

Got to say as well cray bakes, supply here and we came in Becuase we picked up a cray brakes at the Howden festival and we fell in love with them! so had a quick Google where we could get them from and Anna's was out closest shop! Try cray bakes there ace.

I'm not one for negative comments , but £3 for a very over cooked small pork pie doesn't sit right with me.

Really great breakfast wrap. Accommodating service. The sausage rolls were nice but a bit too salty for my taste. Great selection overall and a lot of produce you could buy and enjoy at home like their own sauces meats and pastry. Worth a try!

Stopped off here on the way to Bridlington. Myself, my daughter and her grandma. I had the sausage, bacon and mushroom sandwich and it was the nicest hot sandwich that i have had in a long time. Very reasonable prices, exceptionally clean and friendly staff....

Fab breakfast made from great meat. We had a bacon sandwich & a sausage sandwich both of which were delicious! Quick service & clean tables.

We've been a few times and it's always been lovely but just called for sausage sandwiches and they were over done and dry, like they'd been sat on a hot plate for hours. Not freshly cooked. Such a shame.

So glad to see Anna's open again. Always a pleasant greeting and any item we have ever purchased ( to eat in or takeaway or cook at home) has been excellent. Would highly recommend. 10 star.
