Though Brough has developed into a new town the Ferry Inn feels like a true village pub. The landlady, Sarah and most, if not all of the customers are totally focused on village life and charities that support the welfare of others less fortunate. It creates an atmosphere which is truly inspiring and you cannot help but feel part of a great village community. Everyone is made to feel like a regular and not a newbie, this is totally down to Sarah and her great staff who have time for everyone young and old. In my opinion these pubs are rare and worth the support they get, and more importantly the support they give. Give it a try, great beer good pub grub.

This has got to be the worse Sunday lunch that I have ever been presented with. We went to this pub after seeing the reviews, I am not sure if they are genuine because the food is most definitely not freshly cooked, it’s horrendous. The veg was tinned and luke warm, the meat, not even sure I’d refer to it as meat, was something like you would get on a frozen meal from Iceland!

Wakefield Walking Group Approved......12 of our walkers visited the "Lighthouse" on Saturday at about 3pm...we all had Fish and Chips and after a vote we were unaminously "Very Happy" with the meals we had.The staff were super friendly and the product was excellent....definitely on the list to visit again when next in Flamborough......good effort.

The best place to eat in Driffield! The food is really delicious. The ribs are amazing and plentiful. Natchos fabulous too. In fact, everything we've tried has been delicious. The cocktails are the best in Driffield. Properly made and mixed cocktails not ready made ones! The guy who makes them is an excellent mixologist. The staff are excellent too, friendly and attentive and happy. Prices are very fair. Also I have to say, it's so clean too, absolutely sparkling and spotless. It's our go to place to eat now.

Don't Bother...dined here last night....service is pretty naff...especially when paying top restaurant prices.....I ordered brie to start..got 2 little nuggets that were goats cheese ....sent them back..then got 3 little nuggets....1 brie...1 goats cheese and I completely empty..advised it said brie on the frozen pack...even tho menu advertises everything cooked fresh from scratch...roast Beef was ok if a bit overcooked and veggies were OK..although not worth £19.50...much better places to eat in Brid although views are nice...

My partner and I were in Beverley town centre the other day, and during our walk we spotted Monkey Tree. After popping our heads in and chatting to the lovely and welcoming staff, we decided to settle in for some lunch. The menu was really varied and the specials board truly felt special - my partner had a variation of a buffalo/truffle infused chicken burger (something neither of us had ever seen before). The food was cracking, but what really stood out to us was the level of personality and service we experienced at Monkey Tree. We got to meet and chat with the owners, they popped to see us at the start and end of our meals and we learned so much about the brilliant people who run the restaurant. My partner and I agreed that you don’t tend to find that level of personal service anywhere, so to find it at Monkey Tree (a cafe/restaurant just on our doorstep) felt really special. While we were there we spotted a really mixed clientele, and Monkey Tree catered to them all. From warm drinks, to scones to dirty Mexican fries! Lastly, it was lovely to see the number of themed events that Monkey Tree runs. Offering themed menus and entertainment on regular evenings throughout the year. It really sounded like their community of customers meant a lot to them. 5/5 for the staff and service alone (the lovely food was a bonus)!

Not visited Leon's for a long while, it used to be a favourite cafe of ours. We won't be visiting again. Food was very average. We had scampi chips and peas, poor quality scampi, frozen chips and peas. Expected better quality from Leons. (have had better in wetherspoons at a fraction of the cost). Feel a bit cheated wasting our money!

Originally we were going to pizza on the square but that was very busy and very noisy with some large groups there. We opted to try this establishment having not been there before it was a bit of a mystery visit. Firstly we were greeted at the door with a smile and were quickly shown to a table the door, this was not a problem to us. The server came across straight away and gave us our menus and took the drinks order. There was a table of six and three couples already in attendance some were already served the others waiting. The server was under a little pressure at this time but was joined ten minutes later by colleagues and altogether the service was good, very friendly and professional. Our drink came with a short delay, the main courses took about twenty minutes to arrive which was very acceptable in the circumstances. The food was plentiful, well presented, hot and very tasty. I had the burger which was thick and juicy served with lettuce, tomato, three proper onion rings ( very good ) and thick cut chips. All our party of four had good food and the experience was very good and will return.
