The Rosy Leaf in East Riding of Yorkshire

Wow the food here is absolutely delicious and all freshly made. Can't fault anything here, staff were really lovely and the cafe is spotless. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. A hidden gem.

Really good service, staff welcoming and knowledgeable about Gluten Free. My husband and I had a toastie (mine being gluten free) and cake. Food very yummy and the GF carrot cake was delicious too. We will visit again when back in the area.

Beautiful cakes, catered for lactose/ gluten issues . Excellent service, pleasant environment, big pot of hot tea . Had the gluten free chocolate cake, the blondie , just perfect .

What a gorgeous spot. Felt really welcomed and the coffee was delicious. The decor is really sweet and although we did not eat the food and cakes looks fabulous. Glad we found this spot on our day by the sea.

A wet day and we had not been to the town before. Spotted the Rosy Leaf and were delighted with the smiley service and excellent choice of gluten free dishes. Left happy and looking forward to returning.

We have a number of cafes in our east coast seaside town and most are good but this stands out for a number of reasons. The family who run this are always friendly and polite, always have a smile on their faces and nothing is too much trouble. Went today and had coffee and cake and the latte is the best I have had and always is in this great care. The cakes are all home made and everything is a reasonable price. Well done Rosey Leaf

I travel to different locations within my work as a carer, needless to say I have a fair few coffee's. I was here for a 4 day break with my wife and son. Called at this little cafe for a drink. Must say this was a very nice americano with milk coffee the best i have had in a long while and my son had a tasty bacon and coronation chicken toastie that he said was really nice. Both my wife and son had hot chocolates which went down well.

We came as a family of 5 and stopped in for some refreshments. The service was excellent, warm and friendly. I asked about dairy free options and they were really accommodating with our requirements. Even highlight where products may contain dairy. The food was great we ordered toasted sandwiches and they were full of flavour and decent portions. I would definitely recommend a stop of here when on the sea front.

Me, my partner and the dog called here for a pitstop , we had lattes that were very nice , and ordered some sandwiches to eat outside but unfortunately we had to swop it to take away the staff were very helpful and accomodating and they do gluten free , which is brilliant would definitely call again

I called in here for a takeaway cuppa and a delicious slice of homemade chocolate fudge cake while I was waiting for the bus to Easington. Service was quick and friendly and it was excellent value

The Rosy Leaf is a family run cafe by the sea run by Annette and her sister. As soon as you go in you get a warm welcome. As Annette says she “may not remember everyone’s name but she never forgets a face.” I’ve been visiting a friend who recently bought a bungalow in a nearby village and we dropped in one day and have visited quite a bit since then. The sandwiches are delicious and beautifully presented with a proper salad with a light balsamic dressing, homemade coleslaw and some crisps. Love the coffee rich and smooth. The cafe is very clean with a wall of fabulous artwork by a local talent. It really is worth a visit.

Bonny cafe. We sat outside and had excellent scones and a damned fine brew. Lovely inside and the toilets immaculately clean. Would highly recommend if you find yourself in Withernsea.

My wife and I went on a cold blustery day. The food was warm and filling, the surroundings were clean and crisp. Staff were helpful and cheery and service was efficient yet with no urgency to get us out the door. Very reasonable prices

A small cafe near the beach. All looks fairly new and clean. Quite small but food of a good standard, all snacks tea coffee and selection of icecream. Had teacakes, scones with jam.all types of coffee good.

We nipped to Withernsea for a few hours as it was such a lovely day and decided we would go for a hot drink before heading home. We went to the Rosy Leaf which is a small tea shop only a short distance from the beach. We both ordered a Latte and my friend ordered a scone.Delightful little place and worth nipping in. They sell lots of different Sandwiches, cakes etcWas nice to take 10 minutes out before finishing our walk along the front and then heading home.

After a wet and windy walk myself and some friends stopped and received a warm welcome and a towel to dry our faces! Very friendly staff, amazing food and delicious cake! Would 100% recommend a stop here. Thanks!

First visit to Withernsea, found this coffee shop, clean modern interior layout, friendly staff, lovely food and drinks. Recommend, well worth a visit and very reasonable prices.

Been in a few times, probably the best cafe in Withernea, but limited choice, don't seem to change the menu at all. Decent cup of coffee and good quality food though and the staff are always friendly.

My Mum and I discovered this intimate family run cafe as I was pushing her in her wheelchair for the first time from her home nearby. The first thing we were impressed by was the adaptability for the wheelchair wit the arrival of a ramp. Secondly, whilst retaining an intimate feel there was plenty of room for the wheelchair. There was an appealing selection of coffees and eats, all very reasonably priced and delivered with a smile. So far, we've only been in the colder months but I bet this place comes into its own in the summer. Outside, there is a view of the pier towers and seafront so it would be a real retreat.

Nice lunches - very simple, with good ingredients, cooked properly. Nice coffee and a well recommended hot chocolate for kids. Very good service and certainly well worth a visit.

We were pleasantly surprised when we found The Rosy Leaf during our visits to Withernsea. It's very clean, light and airy inside and the selection of sandwiches and wraps were excellent. After lunch we stayed a little longer to enjoy a coffee and brownie and both were great - we were particularly impressed they offered derafinnated coffee too! Should we ever be back in Withernsea we'll certainly visit again.

We visit Withernsea a few times a year and use the Rosey Leaf most days when we are there. It's nice to have something different to chip shop food that the other cafe's offer. The food is always good quality and the cakes are to die for - they make a mean milkshake too!! Reasonable prices and friendly service make this one of our favourite places to visit after a long walk on the beach with our dogs.

I went in last week but go regularly. Has the best coffee in town . Very friendly staff and very clean cafe with excellent toilet facilities. Also has lovely cakes.

After visiting the area for the weekend and having a lovely walk along the promenade, we stopped off for a drink before heading home. The staff were really friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere. Really clean and bright and a massive choice whether you just wanted a drink or something more . Would definitely pop in again.

ordered 2 ham salad sandwiches cost £4.20 EACH when got back with them was 2 slices of white bread half a lettuce chunk of tomato wafer thin ham and one with half a bottle of salad cream could have got a carvery at the local pub for nearly same price.

Have been here before and always had amazing service and food but today was very different. I ordered a tea and a raspberry milkshake for my partner and myself and sat outside. The tea was fine but my milkshake tasted like it had never seen any raspberry ice cream and was for all intent and purpose a vanilla milkshake. I tried stirring it and then tasting it again and even asked my partner to taste it but it still tasted like a vanilla milkshake. I had paid £2.90 for this so I went inside and told the people behind the counter that it didn't taste remotely of raspberry. They were very abrupt didn't even say sorry and put all the onus on me to decide what I wanted to happen. I felt very embarrassed and decided to try and finish the milkshake (which I didnt) I know it was almost closing time but there was no need for the way I was treated. I definitely won't be going back there is will try the place that has opened over the road!!

Stopped here whilst on long dog walk. Had a sandwich and bread was extremely fresh. Coffee good and staff even brought dog bowl and water for Maeve. Highly recommend it

Withernsea is well served with cafes offering all-day breakfasts and lunches, but the Rosy Leaf offers something completely different. We used it for the first time yesterday, and again today. We sat outside and were served quickly; the coffee was spot-on, and the menu offered a wide and imaginative variety of food. Yesterday we had croissants with a cheese and ham filling, and today, ciabatta with a filling of pulled pork and side salad - both were delicious, and the coleslaw in today's accompaniment really creamy.We couldn't fault it. It has an upmarket feel; it's may not be the cheapest place to eat in the town, but it certainly offers value for money,and the sort of menu that invites you to try something different. Both the food and the service were impeccable and we were made to feel welcome.It will be a regular venue for us from now on.

We always call at the Rosy Leaf as the coffee there is so nice, best coffee we have had since our holiday in Italy which us very similar , the staff are so friendly too . Our granddaughters love the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows with haricots sweets round the saucer . Our little website will not pass the cafe as he loves his vanilla cornet . Highly recommended

Called with our little grandson for a cuppa and it really was a very pleasant experience. The staff were very happy and helpful, everything was spotlessly clean and there was seating inside and out. All the food being served looked delicious and the menu contained lots of hot and cold treats. The cafe displayed a 5 for hygiene, which is very important. The girls were very nice to our grandson and that always earns brownie points! He really enjoyed his ice cream. Thank you. See you again.

Starting raining so we took cover in this rather lovely cafe. Very friendly and beautifully decorated. We had a very reasonably priced brew and ice creams. Waited for some sun and carried on exploring. Delightful.

Coffee is the best in the town. Sandwiches are huge, plenty of salad on the side. Good tables outside and inside is clean and fresh.

I thought i would try it woth my two little girls, they loved the american pancake with chocolate(lovely mess lol) i have the roast chicken and bacon sandwich woth pesto mayo, it was amazing. All reasonably priced.

Clean, modern, friendly helpful staff and delicious sandwiches. A cut above everything else on offer with no greasy chips and no stone of frying. Cheese ham and chutney toastie fab.

We visit The Rosy Leaf regularly as we love the place. It is nice to enter a cafe in Withernsea and not be overwhelmed with a hanging fat small. We love the tasty, simple food and drink. Milkshakes are phenomenal. Nothing serious about the place, but a menu full of ingenuity and presented correctly, in our opinion.

Visited for lunch today. Staff very friendly and could not fault the food, very tasty! I'd recommend the Chilli Chicken Sandwich. Well worth a visit!

We used the Rosy Leaf for the catering for our wedding 9 January 2016.The food was buffet style with all home made savoury items and cakes. There was also carrot , celery and pepper pieces and a lovely dip to go with them. All the items were fresh and the sandwich fillings moist and delicious.I would recommend them without any reversations. The staff are friendly and helpful.We live in Withernsea and have been here before but this is the first time we have used their buffet service.

This is a little gem of a cafe no bacon&egg or fish n chips small but refreshing menu, clean and friendly place. Good value. Shame it's only open till 4pm

The food was great, service friendly and doggie was welcome outside with us. We had toasties for lunch with fantastic homemade coleslaw and fabulous milkshakes made with local ice cream...yum!

We visited here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. A warm welcome on arrival and throughout the staff were lovely. We all had different sandwiches/wraps and there were empty plates all round. Nice and fresh. 2 of the group had the carrot cake which they said was lovely! Nice choice of drinks too. (Milk shakes recommended!)

We visited this lovely little tea shop not long after it had opened. We were greeted by warm and friendly staff.my husband had some quiche and salad and I had a baked potato. It was most definitely 10 out of 10 for our lunch, although the side salad was a very meagre portion, but that was a minor point. We then ordered a scone and jam and " oh dear" it was Inedible , although they looked home made and very inviting, it turned out they were made en mass in a bakery somewhere in East Yorkshire. We always make a point if telling the proprietor of our experience and I. Must say she was very approachable and took our comments both good and bad on board. Would I visit again? Most definitely, would I recommend this little gem of a tea room situated on a more quiet street of the seaside town .? MOST DEFINITLY!!!! A very nice and pleasant experience.
