Good food, spacious layout and reasonable prices with gluten free bread and other GF options. Then a craft shop for afters.

Excellent service and delicious food, haddock was best I’ve had from any chippy! Will definitely be returning again and again.

The staff in this cafe are disgustingly rude - whenever you go in here it feels as though you are being a pain by giving them business. They’ve got their approach all wrong. There’s no smile and happy welcome - the owner looks at you with a face of distain because they have more food to prepare. The opening hours are totally unreliable and the service takes ages. I was sent away on this occasion after making a trip down because they had had an influx of orders and ‘weren’t taking anymore’. This was at 1pm and they closed at 2pm. It’s just not worth going. And the arrogance and attitude of the staff when they told me this was just inexcusable.

We have just had two delicious mega breakfasts which were lovely & just sitting outside with two cappuccino coffees, wonderful food & service, the team there were so lovely & friendly & excellent service & food

meal was good, atmosphere was good, had a relaxing atmosphere.service was good too.the owners remember you which to me is very pleasent and makes you return..

Visited this bakery today, it slightly concerns me that the servers don't wear gloves, they handled the cooked meat to put on the slicer and then went straight to the bakery counter and handled an Eccles cake, without washing their hands, I don't think that's good practice, I also think that tongs could be used to put the bakery goods into bags.

My wife & I visited the cafe after a day in Hornsea & a visit to the Hornsea Freeport before returning home. We were warmly greeted by the young lady behind the counter who took our order. My wife had carrot cake & I had blueberry & banana cake. Both cakes were delicious. Fresh, tasty & a decent portion. My wife had an americano & I had a latte. The coffee was also good. Served hot & a nice taste. The staff were very good, excellent customer service skills & pleasant, chatty & polite

Whiteheads has been a real favourite of ours for years. Went in this lunch time. First thing I noticed is the coxes have changed. Smaller.Tow regular haddock which were of vastly different sizes. Poor portion of chips to boot (which we shared), and a corned beef pattie which had no corned beef in at all. Terrible! The fish was flat. Tasteless and dry. Batter was soggy and wet. Bitterly disappointing. We’ve happily driven an hour to go here in the past but will think seriously before going here again after today’s experience. You’ve earned a great reputation over a long time but there’s something going seriously wrong here. It’s nowhere near good enough. Sort it out!

There were 3 different groups of people inside vaping. We asked the team if they could stop them and they said they didn't do that, that they allowed them to vape inside. Bear in mind that children come here and they serve food. It's really disappointing and really puts me off going there.

Happened in this place when place we'd researched to go out as not open as advertised... Really nice. Friendly barmaid who was very nice. Great food with a mix of garlic bread/ mushrooms starter and wraps (chicken ceaser & sweet chilli chicken) with chips and coleslaw. Would definitely recommend!

Well I am really sad to write this review. I love the food , we always visit the restaurant but today we ordered a takeaway, but this was the biggest mistake we did !!! After waiting longer than said we were phoned to say it was arriving !!! But where? It was a total shambles trying to phone the delivery person and after walking round looking for him, nowhere to be found we had to forget the delivery! And the restaurant manager didn’t seem to be bothered 😢 such a shame as I love the banter when we visit. Saturday night ruined 😠 and I’m sad because I will have to go elsewhere 😢

Visited the newly revamped Medmex that has now been renamed Cloud 9 for a birthday celebration on a Thursday evening. We had a young member of our family with us and an elderly lady. Should have changed the name to Cloud Vape or Cloud Chav. A group of young adults sat drinking and vaping without caring about other customers. Felt like I was in a roudy pub in a city centre. The noise from one young woman was horrendous. Shouting and swearing at top of her voice totally spoilt our meal. We asked the young barman to intervene and he explained the proprietor wasn't in to sort it! My advice to that young barman...grow a pair! He did eventually ask them to quieten down. Young teens kept coming in off the street just to use the toilet. One of our party was sure he saw small packets exchanged in the mens loos. Not something we want our youngsters to experience. Mediocre food okay and served quickly, however, we won't be returning anytime soon unless the clientelle improves, even our teens were discusted by what they witnessed.
