Had a lamb shank, my husband pork, was delicious, only thing I do like my vegetables served separately in a dish so I can help myself.

We booked a table for the Bank Holiday Saturday and turned up with a bottle of wine having read the "no licence" reviews on here. They now have a licence 😀 it wasn't a problem a we had a bottle off the wine list then started on our own. The food is VERY impressive, great quality and the fish was excellent. A great menu. The overall ambience was great with a lovely feel. Thank you, we had a highly enjoyable evening and would recommend to all. Congratulations to all the team involved!

This is a small and atmospheric restaurant. We were visiting on a Sunday. There was a good menu of meat and fish dishes. As a fish eating vegetarian I was glad of the variety. I had the basa mornay which was delicious with Sunday lunch vegetables- swede, parsnips , broccoli roast potatoes. The fish itself was first class and the mornay sauce was subtle , and certainly not just a "cheese sauce". My mum had chicken which she was very pleased with. We had rhubarb crumble for afters which had obviously just been freshly made. The staff were very friendly and helpful and this was a great visit.

Because there is so little choice in Hornsea for places you can eat in and take your dog to we went here twice while on holiday in Hornsea. This family run restaurant was unlicensed so we brought our own refreshments, all the food is freshly cooked and delicious, we all enjoyed our visits and would recommend it to everyone!

What a wonderful evening. Cosy, homely venue nothing too much trouble - no alcohol licence as yet so take your own but corkage not charged. The food was beautifully presented and amazingly well cooked. Definitely worth a visit if you want something special

We regularly have Sunday lunch and it is wonderful! An amazing selection of fresh vegetables and with generous portions. Our recent visit was an intimate Valentines evening...where we had a private chef and cooked to our requirements! What can be better than that? Our main was an amazing fillet steak, cooked to perfection. We take our family and friends when ever the opportunity arises, as we have never had a bad meal there...on busy times, you may have to wait a little longer, but we know that it is made fresh and so worth the wait! Best place around in our opinion! Recommend without hesitation.

Had a great evening meal, kids and wife enjoyed their meals and the staffs attention. For myself, I had the best steak since coming back to the UK...absolute quality! The chef even asked how the meal was going, which was appreciated and not seen elsewhere. I would certainly recommend eating here. Having eaten here a few times I would recommend to book upfront.

Wow, this is great. We went for a birthday meal in the evening. It’s not open unless you book it in advance. However, you get an intimate evening with an open fire and fantastic attention and great food to boot. It made our evening that little bit different and special.

Appalling made us wait outside for 20 mins in freezing cold. His own dog was running around like crazy and jumped me up my legs. Afternoon tea was poor dry bread and bought I. Shop bought buns ..... spend your 12 quid elsewhere this place is a job me and no restaurant apparently it used to be the Hornsea undertakers no it looks like one now

Looking forward to giving it a try but bitterly disappointed, atmosphere not welcoming, silent, no background noise or music, looked more like grannies house in decor rather than a nice restaurant ( I know it’s an old building) staff were over friendly instead of being professionally polite in the background, food was good home cooking at best, and I make a better sauce and presentation, no thought given to veg cooking or presentation either, nothing with any imagination, prices reflect a higher expectation

This is a recently opened establishment. It looked like our type of restaurant and we were not disappointed. Yes, experiencing teething problems but well worth a try and deserving support.

Came here years ago and wondered if it might still be here. We did notice that it was under new management. They were very welcoming and friendly. Its very old building which hasn't been changed inside either, with cosy window seats. Quick service and very clean - highly recommend.

We visited this newly opened little restaurant for lunch today, it is a charming very old building in the main street of Hornsea which has been closed for a while but has reopened now with a very nice menu for day time and evening. The staff were all very friendly as was the young chef who was on hand to have a word with which was nice. The food was very good and we will definitely go again. We wish them well.

We were looking for some were different to have Sunday lunch. We certainly made the right choice. The staff were friendly and the surroundings were very welcoming. We ordered at the vegetable soup for starters, when it arrived it looked perfect and appetizing served with a bread roll and butter. On tasting the soup was nice and hot and completely full filling a perfect starter. The main course we ordered was a traditional roast with beef our choice of meat. Our main course arrived and looked delicious the presentation of the food on the plate looked perfect. Once again the food was hot and really satisfying in fact wonderful. We were eager to try a starter even though we were edging towards very full, never mind let's ' Push the Boat Out'. We ordered treacle sponge and custard. It arrived steaming hot with a generous jug of custard also very hot. On indulging on our desert it was lovely and we did not want it to end. All I can say is we believe we made the perfect choice, and would like to thank the staff at The Hase for making our Easter Sunday very enjoyable. It won't be long before we will be visiting again.

Booked a table for my sons birthday party with 5 children. All kids had a great time - nothing was too much trouble - they even cut the birthday cake up at the end and served it with cream. Food was good and reasonably priced - especially the kids meals. They also put out birthday balloons for the birthday boy and allowed him to take them home which went down a treat! Highly recommended.

We arrived at 1pm and were sat immediately in a booth which was fine. We had to sit 32 minutes before we had our drink and food order taken. We ordered Taco and Empanadas as starters, which were delivered 5 minutes apart? Next was the sharing platter, this was "AMAZING" not just your normal Sunday spread, but lots of added extra flavours. The Cauliflower that we ordered as a side was "FANTASTIC" very flavourful indeed. If the staff had a little more enthusiasm then this would be a perfect little eatery.

Had a meal here Saturday would highly recommend. Food was really nice and service very good the only thing I would say was put a couple of onion rings n mushrooms on the steak dinners . I know you can buy onion rings as extras but wooden blocks look abit empty .
