Went to the funny onion for a 65th birthday, its not the first time we've been, and we don't know what happened but some of the food was substandard, not like the previous times we've been, if it had been the first time we had visited the funny onion I doubt very much that we would go again, very disappointing,

Local chefs. my husband said it this was the best steak and ale pie he has had. The pulled pork was also very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced and worth taking the trouble to find.

We arrived at 1pm and were sat immediately in a booth which was fine. We had to sit 32 minutes before we had our drink and food order taken. We ordered Taco and Empanadas as starters, which were delivered 5 minutes apart? Next was the sharing platter, this was "AMAZING" not just your normal Sunday spread, but lots of added extra flavours. The Cauliflower that we ordered as a side was "FANTASTIC" very flavourful indeed. If the staff had a little more enthusiasm then this would be a perfect little eatery.

A warm welcome awaits you at the Manor Inn. My husband and I stayed here for two nights with our two dogs. Kathleen, Mick and their team were so lovely and our room was plenty big enough for the four of us. Some lovely little touches were included, bed was comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We arrived on the Sunday in time for Sunday Lunch, which was delicious. Nothing was to much trouble… we struggled to chose between the roast or a steak, as they are renowned for them, and were offered a compromise in that we could have a steak with all the roast trimmings… perfect! Good roasties, beautifully cooked veg, plenty of gravy and all served on a hot plate! Puddings were good too. We were advised where we could walk the dogs, choosing to head up to Brubber hill where the views didn’t disappoint and it’s part of the Wolds Way… the pub sits at the halfway point so a perfect resting place for those walking. On the Monday we drove out to nearby Bridlington beach, which is dog friendly, and enjoyed a good walk in the sunshine. Highly recommend a visit.
