Our second stay at Thae Manor Inn We returned as get a very friendly welcome The room was lovely clean and we have two dogs which are catered for, Food is excellent, cooked breakfast is very nice and great atmosphere in the bar during evening, Nice walk up lane and round duck pond for dogs, Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing evening/night

Had a meal here Saturday would highly recommend. Food was really nice and service very good the only thing I would say was put a couple of onion rings n mushrooms on the steak dinners . I know you can buy onion rings as extras but wooden blocks look abit empty .

We ate here whilst staying in the area. What a great place! The staff here are all really friendly. We knew that we might get there with not enough time to order before the Kitchen shut - so we phoned our order through. There is a good selection of beers - including those from Wold Top brewery (local brewer) There are some nice sofas to sit at if you're lucky enough to nab one - and plenty of other tables. There was a bustling crowd in on a Friday night. Food arrived, piping hot - and tasted as good as it looked! I would highly recommend the burgers. The restaurant was busy with plenty of diners. Burgers ate and desserts ordered, we washed it down with a few more pints. What a great place! The staff here couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed it so much - we came back on the Saturday evening and ate here again! The food was great - and the serviceo from Brooklyn was brilliant. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and everything was to our liking. Thank you for 2 enjoyable evening meals!

Great staff, Brooklyn was so good, very confident and friendly, bar staff all friendly too, food was very good, burger, gyros, ribs, desserts all very good, great selection of real ales and beers

Our second visit here. The food was fantastic, as it was before. The service was great. Our lovely server was attentive and very funny. Had a dessert this time, and I wasn't disappointed. Nothing was too much trouble. Will be our go-to place on the way home from Filey. See you soon, guys

The food is brilliant! Chicken Parmo at the moment is on special which is just so good! Bechemel sauce topped breaded chicken, can’t go wrong. Steaks cooked perfectly too. Starters are fab. Book your table for Fri/Sat nights as it can be fully booked, but that doesn’t mean it’s rammed - they don’t fill up the restaurant and cause themselves problems.

I've not stayed here but used the restaurant a couple of times now and had a really good meal and nice real ale. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

We ate here twice during our stay and it was fantastic. Massive selection on the menu, amazing service and lovely atmosphere. The staff were so accommodating and personable, pub is modern, clean and well decorated. Great experience :)

So hospitable, friendly and tended to our every need. Would 100% recommend to friends and family! The staff were great, the amotspher was lovely and the food was delicious. Room was cosy with a very comfortable bed, onsuite was clean and shower was very hot. Car park is accessible and closes for security on a night time!

A warm welcome and beautiful steaks that were cooked to perfection. Our sirloin steaks were served with a fresh salad and just the right amount of homemade chips. I made an online booking a few days before and Kath responded quickly. Our service from everyone was very friendly,professional and attentive . We can highly recommend and we will be visiting again soon.

Just had the most amazing meal at the manor inn. Service was absolutely brilliant. Food was amazing definitely worth a visit and will definitely be back.

I stayed for a night after visiting the city of York. It was 30 minutes outside of York but the price to quality ratio was unbeatable. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable and they had all the amenities we could want (the heated towel rail was amazing). We were greeted by Kathleen who was friendly and welcoming and personally showed us to our room. We also ate in the restaurant that night and the food was delicious! Portions were generous, taste was great, and service was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend The Manor Inn to anyone looking for a stay in the area, it was all-around wonderful.

Very hospitable atmosphere owner very helpful & friendly. Room very comfortable and bed as well.

Needed a room to stay in for 1 night. Long drive to get to the pub. Greeted with a Yorkshire smile. Long story short; food (pizza) perfect, as was the pint and bedroom in building opposite the pub was clean and more than suitable. Recommend this place.

Stopped here for one night on way back home from Whitby. Absolutely lovely rooms, pub and restaurant. Spag Bol and Steak & Kidney pud was delicious, with a really nice Rose wine. Breakfast was huge and very tasty. Would highly recommend this place 😁

Delicious food, really enjoyed the atmosphere

We arrived on Thursday 30th may 2024 to stay at the manor inn for our 38th wedding anniversary, and from the moment we arrived we were greeted by Kathleen and she was so helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was spotless and adequate for our needs, the meals that we had were delicious and the portions were huge highly recommended the cod and chips absolutely delicious. While having drinks in the bar all the locals made us feel welcome and at home, I’d like to thank Tom for letting my wife feed his alpacas and the fresh egg he gave my wife. All in all we both enjoyed our weekend away at the Manor inn and many thanks to Kathleen/ Mick for there hospitality over the weekend. Highly recommended staying at the Manor inn

Rarely leave reviews but had to this time! Unfortunately didn’t take pictures but ordered the chicken parmo and the fish & chips and it was all cooked to perfection. Huge portions. The fish tasted better than you get at the seaside. Immaculately clean pub , the friendliest of staff & lovely atmosphere. Would definetely order the same again but so much more to choose from on the menu. Thank you for a lovely meal, the Manor Inn , Fridaythorpe.

Didn't stay in rooms just called for drink and food, Staff very pleasant helpful food very nice would defo go back nicely done out

We stayed in one of the properties at the back with our small child, all in all our stay was fantastic. Nice and quiet just what we wanted. Food in the restaurant was delicious, I had a steak and it was cooked very nicely. We will return

Stopped for a meal on our way home and couldn't ask for better, from start to finish the young lady who served us was very welcoming, polite and accommodating. The chef cooked our food spot on very delicious 😋 We will definitely be back - thank you xx

Went for dinner this evening, booked a table for 6 last minute by telephone. Lovely spot, really nice atmosphere inside and the staff are fabulous. Thank you to Brooklyn and the rest of the team for amazing service. The birthday boy enjoyed his cake. Food is delicious too, highly recommend a visit.

We decided to book a table here for mother's day as a treat for our parents. What a lovely warm and welcoming place. We were greeted by a really friendly waitress and shown to our table. The service was very efficient and the waitresses and bar staff were really lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The food was great and the newly launched Sunday dinner they had just started serving was one of the best I've had in a long time. If you like a good home cooked style Sunday dinner, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

OK , this is not a slight against the food, as we didnt eat.Saturday 9th of March 1540 arrival, car park had 3 or 4 cars in it. We did not book , as we were passing through. Waitress was extremely dismissive , almost like they didnt want to be busy. Upon entering we approached a waitress , i asked if we needed to order at the bar or if it was table service( Loads of free tables and almost empty car park). She had a shocked look on her face , like we were not supposed to be there. She asked if we had booked , but we hadnt , we were passing through and spotted the restaurant and thought why not give it a go. She them said that they had a large party to attended to. There were around 6-8 people in the bar area at that time , who all seemed to know each other, so i suspect this was the party. I apologised that we hadnt booked and said we would leave , its no problem. As we walked away the waitress said we always advise booking in a rather dismissive/snotty tone like we were at fault for turning up randomly to almost empty car park and pretty much empty restaurant , minus the party of 6-8 people. If i was an owner here i would have a serious conversation with this particular waitress , putting people off when the restaurant was no where near capacity will only result in a premature demise . Which judging by other reviews would be massive shame

We was recommended The Manor by friends, we wasn’t disappointed Harry on the bar was welcoming the front of house staff were so attentive, the food was amazing my hubby had the 32oz TBone I had the 8oz fillet the portions were huge,we couldn’t finish the meal, the steaks were cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced for great food. Definitely worth a visit.

The food here is really delicious. We were a table of 6 and had starters, mains and some desserts and everyone said how good it was. The steaks were amazing. Service was really good too, very friendly and attentive bar and waiting staff. Yes, like the other reviews say - the bar area is a bit sparse, but the restaurant is nice and the lighting creates a good ambience. 100% recommend and 100% will return.

First time visit to the establishment for my wife and myself. The building looked like it was a new refurbishment. We had not booked and were really happy when we were told that "It's Fine" we were shown to table 13 and it was explained that food could take 20 minutes. We ordered drinks and a short while later we ordered food. After around 5 mins food was brought to the table of a large group and a couple. The food looked really nice and we were looking forward to being served next. Two couples came in after a while and ordered food then a third couple who ordered food. Imagine our amazement when food was delivered to the first couple. We assumed it was because they had ordered a starter. But no the second got their steaks delivered followed shortly by the First getting their mains then the third it was then we asked where our food was??. After a while the waitress explained that our order had not been pushed through by mistake. We are not ones for moaning and always make a point of writing good reviews, however on this occasion we felt so angry and let down. Surely the waitress could see that we were sat there with no food and thought why, but no it was only when we spoke up did they bother to do anything. Well over an hour we were sat waiting and watching everybody else get served, more fool us. We explained we would leave. We were given the bill for the drinks, not even a good will gesture for wasting our time. I have worked in a five star hotel......this was not that.

The food was excellent we enjoyed our meals, steaks cooked exactly as desired and service was very good. It was pretty busy considering we were early diners, which is a good sign. Relatively recently refurbished, the pub is much improved if still a little sparse in the bar area. But we’ll be back!

No atmosphere, unwelcoming barman, appalling service from the ginger waitress, trying to force me to order something I didn’t want, dropped cutlery on me and spilt beer on me, also forgot my sauce with the steak. The steaks are average, I’ve had just as good in Wetherspoons. The other bar meals are pretty basic and bland. The prices are high, for food and beer. Garlic mushrooms, onion rings and sauces all £3 extra. With the steaks you get a very small salad and a few chips, served on a wooden board which is very hard to eat your meal on. Also last orders at 9:30pm on a Saturday night, just as we were finishing our meal. I wouldn’t recommend this place and I certainly won’t be going back.

Have been here 4 times this year, family and children and it’s been fantastic. Overall we’ve had over 20 meals and every one has been fantastic. Would strongly recommend. Staff are also great with children, always friendly and playful with my son.

First class steak going back on Saturday

Came upon this restaurant/bar by chance, the premises were spotless and we decided to return later for a meal. The barman was friendly and recommended the steak. We were served by a lovely waitress called Olvia and our steaks were superb as were the accompaniments. Everyone else in the restaurant could be heard saying how much they were enjoying their meal. Will definitely be back.

Dropped in for a late lunch after a walk on the Wolds with my cousin. Very comfortable settees in one alcove, friendly & efficient staff, very decent fish & chips and a nice pint. Yes, it is a bit starkly decorated as others have commented and there was only a short menu on offer, but its early days yet, plus the effects of the pandemic. This place deserves to succeed.

Looks great inside, nice, clean and modern. The steaks and service were fantastic. The only thing that prevented a 5 star was the chips where not up to the same standard as the rest of the food. We will be back again and look forward to seeing you again.

Great tasty food, with large portions. Nothing was too much trouble, friendly helpful staff well worth the 2 hour round trip to meet friends for dinner. Would definitely visit again.

We went here after friends recommendation. I had the mixed grill and my partner had the rump steak. Both meals were very nice as was the venue.

On Saturday 19th February we were involved in a car crash during the freak snow storm. 2 cars were involved and they were collected for repair. 3 of us (same family), were all sat in the cab of one of the recovery trucks. The pub staff allowed us to use their facilities without requiring us to buy anything. They offered for us to sit in to keep warm and also offered that if we had not left the area (due to the insurance companies and the AA dragging their feet) he would give us a lift into the next village and check out accommodation for us etc.

Fantastic pub. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and the food was incredible. Huge portions, home cooked and delicious- what more could you want?!

Steaks good atmosphere soleless

Hi, my wife and stepdaughter called in after a long day at Bridlington, The staff were very friendly, they understood are needs for a quiet table. The food was spot on, I had the fish and chips, my stepdaughter had the halumi burger, and my wife had the ribs. We all enjoyed our meals and everything we had was well cooked, we will be be back, If your in the area, it is well worth a try, After our meal, we chatted to the staff.

Go hungry or don't go! Make no mistake that the prices are higher than you expect to pay for a pub meal but this isn't a pub, it's a restaurant with a bar if you judge it on the quality of the meal.

Very attractively renovated and the food looks fabulous, if a little pricey. We didn't eat there so can't comment on value for money. The handpulled beer was excellent, and the staff were very helpful and charming.

We have had two meals here and both have been excellent. Service good and food great value. Harry knows how to welcome you, always with a smile and very friendly. So glad to have this pub on our doorstep, no hesitation in recommending The Manor Inn.

Not what you expect a country pub to be. It's clean and smart, but feels a bit sterile. Very limited menu with a high price to pay. Staff are very friendly though

First visit after Manor Inn recently opened. Service was slow and steaks were served with just chips and salad. At the price I would expect to also have at least one side dish. They are new and finding hopefully they will sort out these teething issues.
