Food was ready nice! Also connected to the craft shop so we were able to have a look round after our meal.

Lunch for 3, lovely green wall with roses and illuminated sign, nice decor. The cappuccinos were all spot on and they were decaf with plenty of taste. The chilli on the nice baked potato was OK at best, the tomato and pepper soup was dreadful (rank I probably said on the day). It was inedible, bitter with strong dried basil. It had some softened diced peppers ; other than that it was canned chopped tomatoes and maybe tomatoe puree. It wasn't blended so anyone could see and taste what it was, just these items stirred and heated through at some pount. What it was not was soup! and not nice. It was served barely warm, tepid but that was by the by as I couldn't eat it. My partner tasted it too and grimaced. The lady didn't clear the table while we where there, she was busy on the computer, I did stop and volunteer the feedback to pass on as no one at any point asked if everything was OK . Only 2 tables had people, I said I wasn't actually complaining but asking her to give feedback to the person cooking, as it was just horrible and suggesting she taste it. I think that fell on deaf ears. I even offered to bring them a nice recipe if they wanted, she did say sorry. If I owned this place I would be seriously unhappy if this was being served. I cannot think the owner approved this recipe. Would have a coffee but never eat here again. Cannot recommend the food we had at the hornsea branch. Shame as we like to eat in Hornsea quite often

My wife and I popped in to what advertised itself as an ice cream parlour today (Friday 24 July 2020) at 2pm. The shop was due to close at 4pm. A young woman asked us what we'd like. We told her that we'd like to come in and have an ice cream sundae. She replied that unfortunately the kitchen had just closed. Er, okay. We told her that we didn't want any hot food but we'd like an ice cream sundae. My wife was particularly keen on trying the Biskoff ice cream, one of a pretty impressive range of flavours in the display just as you walk in. The girl looked at us rather blankly and then told us that she was sorry but she didn't think she had anything to put in a sundae. My wife replied 'you don't THINK you have? to which the girl replied. 'No'. She continued to look at us and then offered us a cone. We left as we were utterly baffled as to how a place that advertises itself as being an ice cream parlour and which had, literally, at least a dozen different ice creams actually on display told us that they had nothing they could put in a sundae. Utterly bizarre.

After looking for a place to warm up on a cold day in Hornsea we came across this little gem of a cafe. The fruit smoothie and hot chocolate were delicious. The two girls who were on shift are a credit to the cafe, one was cooking food in the kitchen and the other taking orders and making drinks, they provided good service with a smile and even brought some toys to the table for our little ones!

This place is now dismal since it changed hands. The bread was cheap and nasty. No butter on it just very thin smear of margarine. My partner asked for his bacon well done but it was only just cooked. He sent it back but when it was returned the bacon was not even brown and no chance of it being crispy. He was told we cant get it well done and we don't know why. Toilets were dirty and the staff didn't seem interested at all. Best to give this place a miss

We went to this place for Breakfast at 8 on Friday morning advertised opening time, wasn’t open so walked around the park and went back at 8:20, still wasn’t open so went to Cafe Mellar. Saturday lunchtime went back with my Mum, on recommendation. Table outside was dirty, cleared it ourselves. Drinks took a long time to arrive as did the food, but it was ok, burger was the winner, ploughman’s lacked bread to put the bits and bobs on. The next day I went back about 2 to get my dog an ice cream. It had been busy due to the biker event in the park opposite. Seemed like total bedlam, dishes everywhere, staff didn’t seem to know what to do and were struggling to manage, despite the cafe being empty. Worst of all I was ignored for 10 minutes then the waitress went to serve a man who had walked in behind me. It was only when he pointed out that I had been waiting first that I got served. I wasn’t impressed to say the least, I am quite tall and was dressed conspicuously. So in conclusion, be patient and don’t expect too much. There are better cafes in Hornsea to spend your money in.

We were a bit late in the afternoon. The cafe closes at 5pm and we didn't there till gone 4.30pm. The tea and cakes were delicious, though pricier than expected. The sun was still shining so we managed to get the last available table on the terrace. It would have been very pleasant to sit there for a good half-hour but by the time we were served we only had 15 minutes. 5pm closing means 5pm closing! By 4.50 the terrace was being swept and we were being tacitly encouraged to depart. In fairness, they had mentioned the shortage of time when we arrived. Much better to arrive earlier and enjoy to the full what is a lovely little cafe.

We have visited this cafe many times over the years but the last couple of times the experience has been very dissapointing and so we will not be returning. Today we popped in for a sandwich but there was nowhere to sit as a lot of the tables hadn't been cleared. We eventually ordered our sandwiches and when they came they were tasteless and didn't even have a little bit of garnish with them. The brown bread was dry and the cheese savoury had absolutely no taste whatsoever. This after waiting around half an hour for it to arrive. I'm sorry to say that in my opinion this cafe has seriously gone downhill.

Took my granddaughter for lunch. Friday 28th December Granted when I ordered a sandwich for her they did suggest the kids box which was better value. I ordered a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich, the bread was poor quality brown I struggled to see the cheese! The bread had been very thinly "buttered" with what I think wad cheese, so thin it was hard to detect. The latte was so strong I had to sweeten it to drink it and I don't take sugar. Counter staff spent more time chatting than serving. There was one poor girl in the kitchen struggling with the orders. She popped out to get some water and was pointedly ignored by the other staff. Overall a poor experience. Won't be back.

I write this review with some sadness. Have been coming here regularly for some time since well before the refurb. The staff are friendly and the food is good and priced accordingly, There are expensive meals on the menu and you will pay £3.25 for a slice of cake but its good cake. The refurb turned it into quite a nice upmarket place to relax. So why having spent money on refurb and aiming a bit more high end than just a twee coffee shop would you allow dogs to destroy it. We paid £14 for sandwiches and drinks and got half way through to be joined at the next table by a family fresh off the beach with 2 dogs who stank. One of the dogs proceeded to shake itself vigourously. I actually felt phsically sick because of the stench and had to leave. The place itself overall now is already looking tired and nothing like the picture on the internet, it is also dirty sadly. Fine have a place dog friendly but only outside or on the tables immediately inside the door. Dogs and expensive food and drink do not and should not mix.I suggest the owner reads this and takes notice before losing more customers than you are gaining.

To combine a craft shop with a café would not have occurred to Mr Starbuck, but it works here. Plus the fact that dogs are allowed is going to attract a wide range of visitors. The staff are friendly enough, they are triers & if not entirely professional only adds to the charm.

Nice little cafe which attracted me due to its name and the fact I'm quite crafty. It's cafe one side with plenty room for a pram and loos on the same floor. Next door is the craft store but too my disappointment it just did knitting and sewing type stuff. I'm more of a paper crafter. However it did stock so beautiful handmade children's outfits. I was very tempted to buy a coat for my baby which I may still do when I have a spare £38. I also loved the handmade bags on display.

We needed extra milk and it was no trouble at all. We did not eat of this visit but will do next time. The cakes looked delicious and there was a good and varied menu. It was a shame they were closing at 5 as we only arrived after 4.15 and would perhaps have liked longer there. The craft shop looks amazing with a wealth of items available. I have always had great service and food in here. Today was not quite so good. We ordered meals including cheese melts. They were left at the pass for the waitress to serve for 15 minutes. I assumed one meal was taking a little longer, but there was no explanation. The melts had suffered, they had become a little oily. Only one of us finished his meal and he paid for us as his guests. To be honest, I was a little surprised. The restaurant was not too busy and they had lots of staff. Our guests from Manchester sadly declined the offer of the gorgeous cakes,- they had indigestion. This is a lovely place to eat usually & I had recommended it. The cakes are wonderful.By the way, the baby changing area is in the bright, fresh, bathroom sized ladies. We visited on a midweek early afternoon, the place was busy which we thought a good sign. A good mix of seating, sofas, booths and standard café style with some outdoor seating at the front. Big bonus for us was that it was dog friendly inside as it was raining. We found the food and drink to be of very good quality and value. Everything appeared to be freshly prepared, certainly didn't hear a 'ping' from the microwave like you often do in other places. Only mild criticism would be the time taken by the staff to clear away previous customers' pots etc., perhaps symptomatic of the friendliness of the staff in chatting with customers at other tables.

This is one of our favourite coffee shops and is even better now it has been extended into the vacant shop next door. The craft part of the business is now in the newly decorated extension and the two clever ladies behind that counter can often be seen using the sewing machines. All the lovely children's clothes are displayed on hangers which have been made by the staff (the clothes not the hangers!) and I can't wait for our new great- granddaughter to grow a little so that I can buy her a lovely little dress. I understand that more craft materials will be provided during the next few weeks. The coffee shop which can be accessed from the craft shop now has more seating and still provides a good menu. Popped over to Hornsea for coffee and cake and we're working our way through the villages cafes. Gorgeous cake, a wee bit costly, and a lovely decaf coffee.

Popped in for coffee and cake/sweets on way home from the beach. Usually closed by this time on a Sunday (said 4 on door), but I guess open due to the Bikers festival in nearby park. And had been busy all day. Nice coffee and cake and pleasent service. Also assisted with an ice pack for our Lil Un when he went nose first into a chair, which was much appreciated. Worth a visit and sandwiches sound nice too.

We went to have breakfast in the Crafty Cafe. As we walked in we asked if they were open and they said yes. The website info states that are open from 8am. It as almost 9. However there was nowhere to sit as the chairs were all still on the tables. We waited for a few minutes and were completely ignored except for a few sideways glances which suggested they were wondering why we were there. Two staff members then came over to the till at which point we assumed they would help us and they just continued to ignore us. We decided to leave and found a much friendlier cafe nearby.

Lovley little cafe that I come visit quite allot. Friendly staff and great food and drinks. Love how it's a cafe and craft shop that holds craft work shops as well all in one. Can't wait to see what it be like once the extension been finished and it's doing even more.

Popped in for a coffee couldn't stay long as the heat in there was unbearable. At the back of shop there are lots of craft things like wool which is to be expected from the title of shop

When in Hornsea decided to have an ice cream and watch the world go by. The premises were not busy for a Saturday so we thought our order would only take a few minutes to arrive, you should never assume! While the staff were really friendly and courteous the service was abysmal, it took over fifteen minutes for two ice creams to appear and when mine did my partner waited and waited for hers to arrive in fact I actually had mine finished by the time it arrived, not a good experience.

A friend of mine and I stopped in for a brew a few days ago. Crafty Coffee Shop offers a nice selection of cakes, gluten free, and even soy milk. The inside of the place is very comfortable to relax and have a conversation. The outside has a nice place to sit if the weather is pleasant. Great place, very friendly staff, check it out ☕️

We stopped in on a Tuesday late afternoon. There was only one table occupied so it was nice and quiet. We both had double scoop cones. There were loads of ice cream flavours to choose from. Yummy.

We booked into the lodges next to the Gardeners Inn and decided to walk around for dinner & drinks. The venue is decorated for Halloween which I did enjoy and we had a lovely welcome from the waitress. A few item were sold out but the menu was plentiful and the food did not disappoint. I had the sizzling hunters chicken and my partner had Korean Chicken. Portion size was fantastic the side salad & slaw was fresh, definitely the best hunters chicken I’ve had. Banoffee Pie & cream for dessert again it was better than any other I’ve tried. Lovely atmosphere, service time felt right for the number of tables eating and the price was reasonable. Would recommend 100%

First visit to this lovely little restaurant to celebrate 🍾 both Mother’s Day and my wife's 60th birthday and we were not disappointed! The setting in the window table with background music and plenty of space was perfect. We ate off the a la carte menu and we both had three courses complimented by a bottle of fizz. Each course was food heaven and the service was exceptional so we will be returning for the Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday in April. Thank you
