Excellent service and delicious food, haddock was best I’ve had from any chippy! Will definitely be returning again and again.

Been afew times before. As good as ever. Lovely fish and chips and sausage for my trusty dog. Good value for money. Not dog friendly but the very friendly guy came to door to take my order. There are a couple of steps, but if you can't manage them there's a bell and again they come you. Can recommend this chippy.

It's hard to find a good fish and chips shop these days..usually overcooked and greasy..But haddock and chips from this popular fish and chips shop in Hornsea the Fish and chips were cooked to perfection while you wait...We will definitely return next time we're in Hornsea...and follow with one of their ice creams.. delicious !!

Really lovely fish but super rude service! Asked to stand outside (in the rain) until we were called to order despite the place being empty. After ordering told to stand across the road until food ready. Loud comments made by woman serving when we tried to shelter from the rain. Felt very unwelcome and like a nuisance not a customer.

Recently voted among the UK's Top 50 Best Fish & Chip Shops ... why I have NO idea! The "Regular" Size portion of Fish & Chips is exceptionally small & while the fish was tasty enough the chips seemed like "re-heats' and both were very greasy. Staff keep to minimal interaction with customers, no 'thanks for your custom', 'enjoy your food' or any of those niceties here. We would NEVER return here.

Regular fish was tiny, greasy and tasted of cheap cooking oil....not beef fat. Pot of peas was ridiculously small and tasteless. Chips were old , cold and dry. Service was almost mute and depressing. Basically, it is a rip off!

i love how they cook your fish fresh for you, it hasn't been standing in fat or oil for 30 mins until the next customer comes, this fish is a good size and good quality. Also the staff are friendly and chat or give you a device that beeps if you want to go wait in your car until your order is ready , And when you have finished, they also do the most delicious ice-cream, just watch out for diving seagulls if you eat the outside, cx

The chips were cold and the potatoes used were old with lots of bruising. The fish was ok but was very thin but the batter was good and not greasy.

Not been for quite awhile, but was as good as before. When at lunchtime and had fish cake and chips £3-25 food value for money, tasty and friendly staff

We’ve used this chip shop in Hornsea for over 2 1/2 years each visit has been fantastic until Saturday evening 17th of February 2024 the fish we bought had severely undercooked batter very pale and soggy, hopefully it’ll be better next time.

Wow, I can't really fault this place. Nicely cooked fresh fish and chips and excellent Hull patties. Friendly staff. It's our new 'go to' chippy in Hornsea

Fantastic from point of ordering to eating! This place is my favourite chippy and I have been using it for years. I've recently learned that you can now pre-order online so I thought I'd give it a go ahead of a pre-Christmas team lunch at work for 5 of us. Website was simple to use and navigate, I'd made and paid for my order before 10am with a requested collection time of 12.05. Upon walking into the shop at exactly 12.05, the staff had fully prepared and packaged up my order ready to simply hand over to me with a smile. We'd all chosen to try one of the festive specials - the Christmas box. Consisting of a battered jumbo pig in blanket, battered stuffing ball, battered sprouts with potato scallops and gravy. Every single element was tasty and cooked perfectly with the battered sprouts being the crowning glory. I don't usually like sprouts but who knew that battering them would make them amazing! All in all, a great experience, 5* all round from the 5 of us. Compliments to the staff.

Nice food but we felt was a bit overpriced. The person that served us was also a rude jobsworth. Lovely spot to sit outside and enjoy the view of the beach though.

Ordered a large Fish & chips with mushy peas. The chips & mushy peas weren’t too bad although a small portion for the price paid. The Fish was the worst that we have ever tried from a fish & chip shop. It was overcooked & Not Fresh. We were charged £13.75. Won’t be returning & Would Not Recommend.

We go here frequently when we visit Hornsea. The food is always delicious. Perfect chips every time. The sausages are grand too.

Called here for coffee and ice-creams to take away. Four 99’s, gorgeous soft creamy wimpy ice cream in pink and white, or you could choose just pink or just white. Best ice-cream I’ve tasted in years. Coffee was lovely too! The guy who served us was so nice, friendly and patient whilst we decided who wanted what, he really was lovely. Prices were great value too, £2 single 99, and coffee £2 - well worth a visit too !

Great fish and chips. You can't beat fish and chips on the seafront and this place didn't dissapoint. Absolutely fantastic, so good we went back twice more while we were in Yorkshire. Beautiful.

We ordered 2 large fish and chips - one with peas and one with beans (£27). We were told they’d be a 7 minute wait which wasn’t a problem. 10 minutes later, our number was called; the order was wrong as both had peas smothered on top. When I queried this, I was asked to show my receipt as they said I’d ordered wrong. When they realised their mistake, Louis told me “the best we can do is give you a large pot of beans”. Some people’s bests are just not good enough.

Absolutely great fish n chips. Freshly prepared, crispy batter. The best! Pensioner’s special a great bargain.

Tried here as was staying nearby, cannot complain at all. very nice and not overcooked or greasy. Will be back on our next visit.

It was the 8th of August around 5.30pm. My daughter and I decided to try here for fish and peas. As we had to collect my Mum from Hull Royal, after an operation,. we thought this would be a quick and filling meal. When I received them, although freshly cooked the size of the fish was that of a goujon. Very surprised, as my Mum usually goes there for a pensioner special. It always looks decent and of a fair size, Not the cheapest place, fish is £6.00, large peas, £1.70. My advice is to try Stuarts of Driffield. Also a shop in Beverley. generous sizes, fresh and reasonable, regular fish and chips £6.90

Came to Hornsea with my dad and my sister for a day out and we’ve eaten here before, so we chose to go here again. Overall the food was lovely and we truly enjoyed it, but unfortunately a fair portion of our chips were quite underdone.

Grabbed some chips for eating on the beach. Great value and quick service. Hope to use again. No problems.

Had 2 fish and portion of chips. The fish was delicious and tasted so fresh and a lovely white colour. My husband had the chips and I tasted a couple and they were very tasty. Highly recommend.

Worst chippie I have ever been to. Cold, dreadful chips, small portions of fish. If that wasn’t bad enough the young lad that served me was rude and had zero customer skills. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Just had a lovely visit to Hornsea and decided to try this chippy. Due to Covid you couldn't enter so therefore couldn't see what the fish and chip portions were like. All boxed and paid £7.50 for fish and chips for four. Shocked on opening...

This is the second time we've visited here. For my wife and I it is perfect. We ordered pensioners special first visit and was told it was only half a portion. Well that's fine by us as we would normally share a fish and chips....

Always enjoy pensioners' fish and chips here but the portion size has shrunk to the point that I have seen bigger fish fingers! Need to reverse this trend or we will be back to Sullivans "child's portion".

Greeted by surly staff member. Placed order and asked for additional tray. Was charged 15p for one. Asked for 2 extra sachets of vinegar. Was told no. Dissapointed. Was given a large disc and told to go to other serving hatch to wait for order....

I ordered 2 large fish and 1 portion of chips. Nearly fell through the floor. £17.10. The fish was like the others chippys medium ones. Won’t be going there again it wasn’t even very nice. You learn by your mistakes, I learned.

This has been our favourite take away chippy for many years and has adapted to the Covid regulations so well, it is now even better! Sensible order, wait and take away system is rapid and quality never less than excellent.

Had a walk in the beach ⛱ and visited this chippy. Had a fish and chips in Hornsea before, but never here. I'm a convert, these are the best by far, amazing chips and fish lovely and white and not too greasy. Brilliant, be visiting again.

Hornsea has some quality fish and chip shops/restaurants compared to neighbouring Withernsea which as none. This establishment is one of them we called for large fish and chips,medium fish and chips,two bread cakes and a orange drink to takeaway.The fish and chips were cooked to perfection,plentiful and very tasty, for £14 we thought it was great value.We noticed plenty of meal deal offers advertised while we were there and we shall certainly be back soon.

My partner and I visited this takeaway recently, as it had been recommended by a friend. We both had haddock chips and peas in a tray. The fish was cooked to order. Not sure if this is the norm, or whether it was just because they had run out of the size we wanted? Either way, the fish was skinned and boned (and very white!). The nicest fish I've tasted in a long, long time. Chips and peas were also very tasty and were presented in a long polystyrene tray, which was the exact size of the fish. Very clean premises and pleasant staff. This will always be our number one choice when visiting Hornsea now. Worth every penny. Excellent.

Called in for a quick bite to eat, worst thing i could have ever done. The chips tasted like they were warmed up. They were soggy and unappetising. I did try a few of them. Gave it up as a bad job though, and threw most of them away. The day after i had terrible upset stomach because of eating this sub standard food. I certainly will not be returning to eat here for the over priced tosh i got served.

Not a lot to say about this place apart from the food is fantastic. We had fish and chips and sausage and chips with scraps and it was all freshly cooked and cooked perfect. It's really well priced and the staff and helpful and friendly

The food in here is fantastic. We use the chip shop on a regular basis and it's always great quality. The prices are reasonable too and great service.

My wife and I have used this chippy a lot. The taste and quality of the meals is always very good. At £4.50p the regular fish and chips is great value. Also worth mentioning is the pensioner's portions at £3 is great value too! The fish is nearly always cooked to order which means it comes nice and fresh. The batter used is always very light and golden.

It never alters the quality is always top notch its far better than the so called award winning establishments that shout about how good they are plenty of parking the prom has seats so you can sit and enjoy the scenery really well cooked and lovely and fresh the batter is nice and golden as well as crispy i live just outside Hornsea and we have always gone here it is by far the best highly reccomend

I am very, very picky about fish and chips, my favourite meal, and this chippy is the best I have ever had. Ever. good service great price, nice shop. The only down side for me is that it is 20 miles from where I live, yet I go there every week for that lovely Haddock. It is worth the drive. Situated at the top of Marine drive there is plenty of parking too and it is right on the prom. 5 stars
