The staff in this cafe are disgustingly rude - whenever you go in here it feels as though you are being a pain by giving them business. They’ve got their approach all wrong. There’s no smile and happy welcome - the owner looks at you with a face of distain because they have more food to prepare. The opening hours are totally unreliable and the service takes ages. I was sent away on this occasion after making a trip down because they had had an influx of orders and ‘weren’t taking anymore’. This was at 1pm and they closed at 2pm. It’s just not worth going. And the arrogance and attitude of the staff when they told me this was just inexcusable.

Just visited for breakfast. Waited 45 minutes for breakfast with two hungry children! No apologies, my breakfast was good but my sons bacon sandwich was very poor. Wife and daughter enjoyed there’s but wasn’t worth the wait. There was plenty of staff but they seem to focus more on walk in trade than people sat down. It was busy but only with people who had already eaten. We like to support our local businesses but I’m afraid we won’t be back here.

After a busy morning at honeysuckle farm we chose to venture into Hornsea for our lunch. We decided to visit No 10 coffee shop. When we arrived, myself, my husband and our two boys (aged 4, and 1) where shown to a table quickly. This would be the only time any speed was shown in our lunch. Our order was taken, 3 sandwiches and a child’s pasta. If I would have known our lunch would have taken 40 minutes to come I would have taken two hungry toddlers elsewhere. I am not sure what took 40 minutes; as we where served 3 plain sandwiches - one with no side salad, one with a premade sandwich filler and the other with hardly any filling. As for the pasta, it had taken a spin round the microwave and was a molten larva mess. The gentleman behind us was served his sandwich with coleslaw, crisps, and a side salad? So not sure why we where not? I think we will stick to packed lunches next time, a half term treat turned into £25 for poor sandwiches and even poorer service.

Went in for a coffee and some breakfast, I wouldn’t submit to there medical protocol, I thought I was at a cafe not a doctor’s surgery , incredibly rude chef/owner, refused me service and shouted me out the door, shocking way to treat a customer, gladly took my business elsewhere where I had no issues whatsoever and saved a bit of money too

Ordered the all day breakfast and despite it being very busy, I didn’t have to wait very long at all. Quality of food and portion size both excellent. Friendly welcoming staff who all clearly wanted to help make my visit enjoyable. Will definitely return another day and try something else off of the comprehensive menu. Very highly recommended.

Took out order which was 30 mins waiting. Jacket potato was on the small side, coleslaw and the tuna had too much Mayo in it, far too creamy. You had to hunt for the dry chicken in the Caesar salad . Not enough small tables, layout needs a think

We were staying in the area and were recommended the cafe for coffee. Decided to have breakfast. We both had the crushed potato with spinach,bacon and a poached egg on the top, also came with two slices of toast each.Excellent. Very fresh and hot. The service and the COVID procedures were well done . We shall return.

After having been to Cafe 10 in the past as a day time visitor and loving it every time, I finally got round to going on a Friday night, burger night with my family. There was 6 of us, we booked in advance, were accommodated no problem and were looked after from the second we walked in. Aside from feeling very covid safe, the staff were naturally lovely answering any question without being overbearing and our food cooked fresh to order was spot on in every way. Our table ranged from ages 12 to 51 and we all had empty plates. Relaxed atmosphere, background music, drinks choice...We will be back and would recommend to anyone.

Lots of choices for breakfast and lots of local produce, which is exactly what you want! I had the Eggs Royale with local smoked salmon and it really lived up to my expectations. Also it was extremely clean. Got a little busy (and I didn't feel as COVID-safe as I'd like to be for a little bit) but still great and worth going back to. Even if only for the yummy smoothies!

Really good food, in a great, friendly environment! We had a simple lunch of sandwiches, and an excellent pasta dish with chilli con carne. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't better it!

What can I say , got here just before 3.00 pm didn’t realise they were closing for food, asked for a scone tea and coffee , they were very happy to do , great atmosphere music playing , comfy seats . Now down to scones not dry but soft and fluffy texture, jam nice flavour and creme amazing, cappuccino hot and nice flavour , would recommend , prices very good , only recommendation get there early to enjoy more

Amazing little place , great food , be prepared to wait a while 25 mins for sausage sandwich and scrambled eggs , however it was worth it . No Good if you are in a hurry though !! There again it was peak time !! It was like is that if you wanna hurry no good

This was our second time here it’s a busy cafe,friendly staff good choices of meals and take away s,had the omelette with salad and potato salad was delicious.ann had pasta with pesto and motzerralla.she enjoyed the meal.had lattes was good value for money.there is a small bar at the back also.

Quite often Ten Cafe put on an Evening Meal. You will need to book early as these are very popular evenings. A great choice of Starter, Main, Deserts, wine and beer. Myself, wife and friends have experienced this on quite a few occasions now and have never been disappointed. Other good Reviews say it all. A big thank you to Tim, Jo and staff Well Done and all the very best for 2020.

Visited here by chance today and so pleased we did. Not tasted food this good in a long time. We had the full English breakfast, rarebit and an omlette. The food was such good quality and cooked to perfection. The service was great and the surroundings clean and comfortable. Definitely worth a visit.

My days! I dont even know where to start! There isnt enough superlatives! Just purely beautiful every aspect of it!! P.s best black pudding and sausages I've ever tasted! I've uploaded a photo of how beautiful it looks

Just eaten an absolutely delicious breakfast with my partner and we both loved it. Very high quality food. The bacon and sausages were to die for. Very clean and tidy with a nice chilled atmosphere. Will be coming again.

Have lived in Hornsea for three years and had never ventured into ‘10’ - popped in for breakfast and immediately felt comfortable. The surroundings are relaxed and the staff friendly - the breakfast was fantastic. Good quality ingredients and well presented. This will become our regular place for breakfast from now on. Only negative was the ‘weak’ tea .

Found this cafe when shopping nearby by luck,it’s a really busy cafe,very trendy.good food & drinks was well worth a visit.just on the main road through the top of Hornsea.

Tried this establishment for lunch and must say good for drinks but not for food. I am a Coeliac and had to resort to good old jacket spuds. The diet of today is vegan so GF does not get a look in.

Friendly establishment, counter order service, not a place we think we would return to for food, tea was fine. Vegan being the fad of today is listed but gluten free is not noted with foods.

My daughter took me here for breakfast for my birthday. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Food was well prepared and presented and tasted lovely. I had the full English breakfast and my daughter had poached eggs and mushrooms with hollandaise sauce which she thoroughly enjoyed. If you’re in the area I recommend a visit.

Arrived 11.30am on a busy Saturday, ordered 2 breakfasts and coffees, we were warned that we would have to wait half an hour. No problem. We enjoyed our own company and ordered a second coffee. However when the clock reached 12.45 we asked if there was any idea when our order would appear. The poor waitresses tried, but couldn't give us any idea of time. We were beyond reasonable but decided to leave. However when we asked for the refund we were only reimbursed for our food order. No token gesture of a measly cup of coffee? Customer service and an ability to create the right reputation are lost on some people. A full house and poor kitchen set-up meant many patiently seated customers were disappointed. Coincidentally their takeaway sandwich counter never stopped churning over the custom. If trip advisor rated places on turnover this place would succeed. If a café can't feed people after an hour an a quarter they should be forcibly closed. Disappointed is an understatement. It was so late that our late breakfast turned into fish and chips on the sea front- now, Whitehead's chippy, they know how to treat people.

Very nice burger and fries. Good value wine. Delicious puddings. Staff excellent, atmosphere friendly and buzzing. Only downside is the extraction system because there is a strong smell of frying in the air and our clothes smelled of cooking oil the next day.

We go here on a Friday night every so often, lovely food and friendly staff and service, no need to book unless there are a a few of you.

we stopped here, while we was waiting for freeport to open, we had a latte and cakes, and we were so glad we stopped here, this is a beautiful place with lots of characters, and the food and drinks were amazing, and nicely priced too, if you are after a warm welcome, nice drinks and a perfect setting this is the place to go

I'm not very impressed with this place. The staff didn't really listen to my order which was quite poor. I had to send my order back. I won't be returning

Easily our favourite coffee shop by far - the food is of exceptional quality and consistently so. It has a relaxed atmosphere: great for families; friends; and couples, and the owners and staff are friendly and provide a welcoming service.

Love this place so much. We visited a couple of weeks ago for lunch, I had a chicken mayo sandwich and my partner had an omelette which were both gorgeous! It is a little bit pricey but well worth it. The atmosphere is always so nice aswell and the staff are really friendly.

Stopped off on a cycle ride for breakfast. Reasonably priced, excellent quality food and cycle friendly - pay a visit, you wont be disappointed.

By far the best cafe in hornsea! Come here for breakfast or dinner, and always leave happy! The food is always absolutely amazing and the staff and service are amazing, always very smiley and happy to help with anything! So clean and well laid out aswell, and such lovely decor. Takeaway food is also amazing as we sometimes take home some sandwiches, very good to have this option if we haven’t got time to eat in. Will always come back! Keep up the good work cafe 10! 100% recommend to anyone.

What a tasty meal we all had on Friday, it was delicious. The staff all friendly and presentation was lovely. Always receive a brilliant meal here.

This coffee shop is quite quirky with a good atmosphere. We came here for breakfast and I had Eggs Benedict which was delicious and a Cappuccino. My Husband and Nephew both had the full English. You get a lot and they said it was very good even though they struggled to finish it. Staff were friendly. Service a bit slow though.

Probably the only place in hornsea that i would take friends outside of this area to, lovely little place and a menu with a modern twist that is needed in this town. actually serve fresh food and good coffee, never been let down.

First visit here today. Went for lunch as was spoilt for choice on the menu. Breakfasts served til 2pm too. All freshly cooked so don't expect fast food but didn't wait too long. Well worth it. Will be visiting again soon.

Went here for a coffee and some breakfast with a friend. The atmosphere was lovely and the shop itself was very clean. I ordered a breakfast I must say it was lovely and the wait wasn't to long. The only criticism I have about this cafe is that it's abit on the pricey side but apart from that It was great!

Being a builder I am a connoisseur of breakfast dinning !!, seen it all tried it all 10 is my favourite and I use for a treat or when I get paid from a job lolThe presentation is good, food better, coffee deluxe spot on !Never sat in , but everything I've had for takeout better than average every time, don't drop standards home it stays this way Nice place, a tad more expensive than most but worth it and you get what you pay for

We go in there about twice a month as part of a round trip of 30 miles. Over the years the small breakfast has diminished and quality reduced. Used to bec3 rashers, now 2. Used to get mushrooms, now you don't. Recently changes sausages, not very nice.

Haven't been to 10 for years. However after visiting Hornsea recently my friend and I decided to go for lunch. I admit it was 1.30pm but I was stood ages waiting to order, the food then arrived 40 mins after ordering. Drinks took a long time to come too. Maybe more staff on over busy periods would help.However I would definitely recommend 10 as the food is delicious and always has been. I will definately go again when in the area.

Visiting Hornsea for the first time... Hungry and needing to eat. What a marvellous find! The coffee shop is welcoming and busy. Once you see the menu and the quality of food you can see why. We had the breakfast dish of poached egg, mushroom and black pudding.....gorgeous. We also had an omelette served beautifully with salad and flower garnish. What a lucky find. Wonderful and fully recommend.

A firm favourite of ours for coffee and breakfasts, but recently tried the Friday night supper. The imaginative and tasty burger menu has us spoils for choice and the quality of the food on arrival was excellent as usual. Nice choice of wines and lovely service. It's so nice to support a great chef and family run business who focus on quality home cooked food. Can't stop thinking about those sweet potato fries!

We often have a walk around Hornsea along the front and into town and have sampled a variety of cafes and pubs and my wife thought this 10 Coffee Shop was worth a look,we entered to a friendly greeting and randomly chose our table,we ordered at the counter and had ordinary tea for me and americana for my wife we went for ham salad in granary bread and egg salad in baguette both with salad filling,lovely fresh tasty bread good fillings and v/nice tea and coffee,usual modern recycled decor but we were over- all very impressed and thought it was the nicest cafe we have visited in Hornsea of the half dozen or so we have tried.Well worth a visit and reasonably priced.

I took my wife & two sons to 10 for my wife's birthday on Saturday 30th April 2016.This was the first time that we had visited 10 & we were very surprised at the quality of the food & presentation.We will definitely be going back there in the near future.

Last visited on Friday 29th April, have been several times before. The first time we visited 10 coffee shop we thought it was just a cafe for a hot breakfast, but it is much more. The food is gourmet style, the staff are very polite and professional and the atmosphere as good as any quality restaurant.... Would recommend it to anyone and will defiantly be going again.

Out and about in the Hornsea area looking for a late breakfast we came across 10 coffee shop. What an atmosphere, a really warm and friendly feel.We had gone in looking for a late breakfast but looking at the lunches coming from the kitchen we had trouble deciding on what to have, all the food around looked and smelled great, and I can say our food was very tasty. Also noted a busy takeaway counter at the front. All the staff we saw were very helpful polite and cheerful. 10 coffee do have a toilet, clean and tidy. There is parking for three cars outside the front plus other roadside parking about, also a large car park just around the corner. We will defenatly go out of our way to visit 10 coffee shop again.

I have been a customer for some time at 10 Coffee Shop, the food and service is continually good. We telephone our orders in on occasions, they have been dealt with in a very efficient way the service is excellent. We order soya decaf lattes and a range of sandwiches they are always excellent. The coffe shop has a relaxing atmospher I understand the food on a Friday evening is also very good. This place is worth a visit you will not be disappointed in you choice.

My husband and I had lunch on 24th February and it was really good. The food was great (I loved the Eggs Royale), the service was efficient and friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. Will definitely be going back sometime soon.

We have been using 10 since it opened. I don't have a bad word to say about the place!! Great food, great staff!! The breakfasts are amazing as are the sandwiches! We are yet to try an evening meal but we will!

We called into the 10 Coffee Shop yesterday in search of a good cooked breakfast to cure what was a bad hangover. The cafe has a great atmosphere and was pretty business but our breakfast arrived in no time and was delicious (just wished the hangover and my delicate state would of allowed me to eat it all) The group throughly enjoyed the breakfast, good portion size and quality ingredients. We shall certainly be eating again at the 10 Coffee Shop.

We went last Friday to the 10 Cafe for an evening meal.Wow, wow, wow. I have travelled the world extensively and this was one of the best prepared and presented meals I have ever had. Michelin stars eat you heart out.If you have never eaten or had a coffee at 10 then you are really missing out.To the owners and staff at 10. Please keep this up. You really are amazing.

talk about a perfect weekend, rounded off by this place. It was packed so we sat and had a coffee on the comfy leather couch until a table was free. Absolutely everything cooked in front of you! That's the only way you know it's all fresh. The staff are amazing especially our waiter, a young fellow, full of enthusiasm. The breakfast took a little while but was enormous and every single item was top quality and cooked well. Will be back to try other dishes on the menu. With many people choosing yorkshire as a holiday venue, this place will do really well. The very best food in hornsea, well done.

Been in here a few times over years and it's well good a great breakfast at a good price there's always plenty in which gives you a idea how good it is and they do a good takeaway service as well would defiantly recommend

I can't fault number 10 at all! The good has been fantastic since day one. Sine people say it's expensive, but it's well worth the money ! Sit in or take away is fab ! I just wish they opened on a Sunday morning for a hangover full English!!

Went for Friday night tea, I had a bbq pulled pork wrap with sweet potato chips , my husband had burger and chip . Both was delicious . The staff are very friendly and efficient . For me there was plenty to eat , the wrap was full , my husband found there was not quite enough for him as he was extremely hungry, he hadn't had a lot to eat during the day . We would definitely go again .

I have relatives in Hornsea and a visit to them is always a chance for a visit to Number 10. Nice ambience, relaxed feel, good food. As other reviewers have said, there is sometimes a wait for the food as it is all prepared fresh but it is always of excellent quality. The best bacon sandwich in the North and that is saying something.

Like visiting this place food good but the service is shocking if there are a lot of people in you can wait for half an hour for a sandwich in my opinion they give priority to the take away side which can be busy when it's school lunch time. The staff are not the happiest and they need to be in that environment as there is a lot of competition.

Although lower on trip-adviser that some, this place was buzzing with atmosphere and served very good coffee. Wish we had more time to try the food which looked very good.

Great spot for excellent coffee, lunch, and wonderful breakfasts. The staff are always smiley and pleasant, everything made to order with good quality ingredients. Looking forward to Friday night suppers now, but will miss the cafe being open on a Monday.

This is our first stop in Hornsea when we visit. The coffee is great and the food is also v good.As others report you may have to wait a little while but that is because everything is freshly prepared for you. Its worth waiting for.It is and deserves to be very popular and busy.

Excellent coffee and the food is dammed decent as well - but beware get comfortable on the sofa and you won't want to get up again!! Nice people and nice place to go - recommended

Nice themed decor throughout (number 10's everywhere!). Staff friendly and although the food did take a little longer than I expected to arrive (it was quite busy) it was top notch.Best smoothie I've had in years too!

We called in here for a coffee & a bite just before a local wedding.... lovely staff constantly on the go ! coffee was nice, but the sandwiches were wonderful ,a wide choice of breads & all very fresh. Very substantial & filling, but not weighty or claggy ....delicious & tasty , fresh cold meat & saladobviously locally sourced ; we will definitely call in here again when we are in the area !!

a great friendly place all food freshly made and open cooking so you can see what tim is making is breakfast are great set you up for the day ,I like the bacon sarnise not greasy a fresh bread what more do you need ,the coffee is the best no matter were I go on holidays nobody cappo is as good as 10s

The service is a little slow for both eat in and take away unless you are lucky enough to arrive at a quiet time but as the food is freshly made, delicious, and well presented, the wait is well worth it. The prices may appear a little high but they simply reflect the quality of the food. There is a very comfortable corner banquette and low table in the window which is lovely if you just wish to relax with coffee and maybe a cake. The rest of No 10, although comfortable, is designed for quick and easy table clearing as it is, generally speaking, a very busy little café with a modern menu. I wouldn't recommend eating here with young children, or if you prefer a less busy and more relaxed eating place, but other than that, it is well worth a visit.

Always look forward to getting a takeaway sandwich from 10, they all taste amazing no matter what you get! At first glance I thought they looked a bit pricey on the menu board, but they're worth it because of how they're freshly prepared. Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, if you've only just come in and ordered at the counter but this reflects the popularity of the cafe. I also have had sit down meals in the cafe and would say again, it's great. If you have a hangover, go to 10 and get a breakfast, the portions are perfect and sort you right out.

The food is cafe snack food pasta dishes wraps sandwiches all served nicely you have a choice to have a salad or not if but if you choose to have salad and crisps you have to pay extra but it's worth it. The tea is served in a long glass which I find quite strange I would prefer a cup but that's my only criticism overall a good place for a snack.

We didn't eat in the coffee shop, but just had takeaway breakfast sandwiches last Saturday morning.The quality of the bacon sandwiches was first-rate, freshly cooked bacon (one with tomato, one with egg) served in warm baguettes (other bread types available). The food was handled very hygienically and wrapped with extreme care, and tasted terrific. Very good value too.The only downside is the speed of service; we waited about 20 minutes to be served (there were 3 people ahead of us in the queue) so best to go somewhere else if you are in a hurry. It was worth waiting for though.

We went to Number 10 whilst on holiday in the area and were generally impressed. The lady who mainly served us was lovely as was the young man who brought our drinks - really friendly and accommodating for us with our young son. The food was lovely - not cheap but worth it. On a less positive note, some of the other staff were a bit miserable and not particularly welcoming and also it's not easy to get in with a buggy. However overall, we enjoyed our visit and would visit again.

Not just a coffee shop but an eating experience! The atmosphere is relaxing, the menu is great and the quality of food fabulous. Everything freshly cooked to order and arrives very quickly. Staff very accommodating and friendly and you never feel hurried. Can get very busy around 1.15pm to 1.30pm during school term time when the pupils descend upon it for their take-out sarni's and cakes etc. but this isn't a problem, just means queuing for a couple more minutes!

all is great there brekfasts is realy good al fresh cooked for you as the rest of the food he does and the very best coffee i have ever had ,and the owners tony and his staff a loverly people and make you so welcome and the place is spotly clean
