the best beef and salad sandwich lots of filling in it and nice soft teacake realy tasty other nice things on offer too...ploughman's lunch tubs indian starters plenty sweet and savoury things ....

We've been to this pub loads of times at the beginning of the afternoon when we've been out drinking round Brighouse. The staff are really friendly and there's always a good atmosphere. They've got sky tv and a pool table. We've never had anything to eat there so can't rate food.

I started coming here, 3 months ago, and liked what Alex was trying to do, I even offered to hand out leaflets to promote it. Once I'd given 500 out, he banned me from the cafe. The staff here are lovely, as are the chefs, but the problem is Alex, the owner. If this is a community cafe, I'm Father Christmas, a white community cafe, maybe. I was the only non white person in this cafe in 3 months, eating in. Eating out, maybe a handful. I'd had complaints, according to Alex, but wouldn't explain the complaints. I've done body language courses, and Alex was clearly embellishing the truth. Discrimination, whichever sort is definite. I'll let you decide. I personally wouldn't want to go into a discriminatory café. Fortunately plenty of decent cafes in Brighouse.

The food was ok, the scones were like rocks and would have broken our teeth!! The service wasn’t helpful. Both of us are disabled, no offer of help to carry drinks to the table despite us both being on crutches. (2 sets of stairs) I had to ask another customer for help. He was brilliant thank goodness. After the meal, we asked if we could order drinks to the table. We were told no, but weren’t offered help, the bar manager went for a smoke with friends instead. I did explain that we couldn’t navigate the stairs with drinks. Her answer was ‘ok’ ta! I could understand if she was busy, it wasn’t quite lunchtime yet so it was nowhere near busy or full!, but she was just sat talking to the two guys who seemed to be on their lunch break. The view was amazing as it was a beautiful day and the patio looks out onto the lake. Just a shame the staff don’t really give a toss.

As always wonderful food.excelent service. Family birthday meal.the staff so helpful. My grandson told them it was my birthday. They where so kind I received a baby Guinness and a candle.this made his night I can not recommend this restaurant enough. Every time we visit the food and staff are 5 star plus

Very disappointing ...Owners of this business be aware! I am a frequent diner at your restaurant and has been my chosen fish and chip restaurant for my visiting family and friends on a regular basis, with the usual staff very helpful and accommodating. However on Saturday 12th April, late lunch time, I arrived with family (6 in total), The restaurant had 8 covers and the rest of the seats were empty.Two young ladies were stood chatting on entry, and I asked if we could have a table for 6. One young lady said " have you booked? I hadn't because I always call to book and I am always told " just come in, it's fine". One girl said, I need to check.she returned promptly saying " My Manager says "you will have to sit separately". I had a 4 children, aged 2, 7 9, , and 12, respectively. I said could two tables be put together as there is hardly anyone in, she said " No, my Manager said not, anyway a couple of tables haven't been cleaned!". We said thankyou and left! The 'Manager'..a dark haired gent was in the adjoining shop, so I explained, and he said " The problem is, we can't move tables as the floor is uneven." I explained that I dined here regularly, and the tables to the left are often accommodating larger groups, but the staff are just stood chatting, but can't change a table setting? Change of plan ...Blakeleys here we come! and a £122 later, welcoming reception ( even though they had reservations and were busier), beautiful food, and staff absolutely on the ball. Sorry ..serious rant, because of lazy, staff and poor Management decisions on the day. You usually do so much better, and is usually managed better, by staff usual Manager. Improvement to attitude required.

Having stayed at the hotel for over 12 months, and meeting the Nights Manager , Chris, he is very accommodating with any requests I have had. Always friendly and polite and is a real credit to Holiday Inn. Myself and colleagues cannot thank Chris and his team for looking after us all and making our long stay enjoyable and welcoming

We ordered two lattes, these tasted very good, but on the small size for the cost of £3.80 each. There were also no prices on the cakes/buns in the display case, so didn't bother with any in the end. We drank inside and the noise was unbearable, it was echoy and loud, it needs something to deaden the noise as it's uncomfortable and does not make you want to stay.

Absolutely disgusting takeaway. Ordered duck, about 1g of meat and the rest was duck skin, v v v bad. Worst ever had. Daughter had pad Thai again with duck. Hers was microwaved but tasted like it had been fried in a dirty chip fryer. Awful avoid at all cost

Best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten these were so good I’m now having fish and chips every Friday they weren’t saturated in filthy grease like other chippys cooked to perfection. I didn’t take a picture because they were so good I couldn’t put my fork down to take one I’ll take a picture next week!

Regardless of how good the food tasted, which was ok, it took an hour to arrive, there was no one in the shop and it took all that time. It isn’t good, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

40 minutes wait for dry tasteless chicken wings and loaded dirty fries covered or should I say smothered in plastic cheese. Surroundings nice as was atmosphere, we ate some as we were hungry but definitely won't be back for food.

ordered a takeaway from Picco’s tonight and I do not recommend whilst the food maybe average and good ish for the money the costumer service is awful the past few times we’ve ordered from here they haven’t brought the drinks we’ve ordered and payed for and when we ring them to complain they simply say “can we bring it next time” or “are you sure you have ordered one”or “have you checked your bags properly” well the last 2 times have been worse I rung them to tell them and they told me they would contact the driver to tell them to go back and collect it to deliver it to me and surprise surprise…nothing it’s simply not on and I do not advise anybody to order from here if you want your full order delivering to you.🙁🤨

After not ordering for maybe 15 yrs plus.....as long time people who live in Brighouse we would rather the money stays local....food arrives cold...we ring to speak about the state af the order the phone is put down mid conversion...just rude and unnecessary absolutely no customer focus....we are busy is not the right answer!!
