The best restaurants in Brighouse Calderdale Yorkshire and The Humber

The special was hot beef sandwich. I chose it. But the beef was inedible. It was so tough I couldn’t chew it. . I think the staff should try it themselves before serving so they know it’s ok.

Went Saturday evening the lady in front of house said to us she is the only staff serving ind 2 cooking . She was absolutely brilliant she never stopped the service was excellent and the food was excellent. Well done .

We came here for a bottomless brunch & it was excellent, having looked around for somewhere closer to home rather than going to somewhere like Leeds I came across Villain liked the look of it and the choices available and duly booked. It was a Wednesday & We arrived a little early but our table was ready & waiting and we were able to start early. The food choices were one of the things we liked the look of a lot of brunches are much the same with the food, my wife and I had the chicken tandoori flatbread with a side each of salt n pepper fries & Parmesan & truffle fries, my mother had the nachos with southern fried chicken. Portion size was very generous the flatbreads were piled high with chicken and all of us were stuffed after eating. The choice of drinks available was again really good and the Harley Quinn cocktail is superb. The service was excellent Alessa was really attentive and kept the drinks coming we never had to catch her attention to get a refill she was always there ready to take the order and as this was a present for my mother she gave her a free shot, brilliant service which enhanced the whole experience. I had never heard of Villain before this but we will absolutely be going back again and the price was also way cheaper than any we have had elsewhere. Excellent value for money.

A great place for Sunday breakfast. Lovely food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. The vibe of chatting happy customers was lovely ☺️ Only downside was the thump thump thump of unnecessary music when the place was already buzzing with conversation. For an hearing impaired person it was a distraction for me so probably annoying to others.

Visitamos por la tarde temprano durante el fin de 1940, así como esperaba era ridículamente ocupado. Incluso teniendo en cuenta el agitado fin de semana nos fuimos muy decepcionados con la comida y el servicio de atención al cliente. El menú era muy limitado y nos dijeron que el Chocolate inmediatamente teteras sin guarnición para nuestros sándwiches. Estábamos muy relajado sobre este como apreciamos tales estaba concurrido (pero bien planeado para fin de antes). Nuestros sándwiches servían en un plato pequeño con patatas fritas empapadas. Esperé 15 minutos para ser servido con un café frío mientras mi amigo me dieron un batido de un cartón. Después de esperar por la comida por debajo de la media nos pareció bastante ofensivos a preguntar con 2 minutos de tener un café paquete en frente de nosotros a pagar inmediatamente. El fin de 1940 es siempre estaba bien planificada con antelación, nos sentimos el chocolate de teteras debería haber sido preparado para la gran cantidad de clientes. Si esto nos esperaba un precio considerable para ser descontado de la factura o al menos una disculpa.

Good food, good value and a lovely ambience. Highly recommended. Bacon and Brie panini delicious and Victoria Sponge lovely.

Decided to try here after good reviews as our usual curry restaurant is very expensive now. However, on this occasion it is better to pay more and we are going back to our other one. You get a lot for your money, loads of bhajis and chicken pakoras for the price, however too spicy, especially the bhajis so left most of them. Curry was nice, but not outstanding. Lovely staff.

This is such a wonderful place! Everything is delicious and well prepared. And excellent service as well.

Was in here Saturday night and was served by a lovely young girl very good service made a really nice amaretto sour. While making it she struggled to get the Boston’s apart this girl she was working with (kinda tall, red hair constant foul look on her face believe her name is Caitlin) came over and snatched them off the poor girl. While waiting to be served she was snappy with other customers.

Nice little coffee shop. Bit pricey these days but still good for a treat!

Amazing venue plus parking and great staff

Just had a really great time here. Celebration dinner for best Friends birthday. Five stars all round.

I took colleagues for an overnight stay whilst away on business. The whole team were so accommodating for our party and made it a stress free stay. The rooms were excellent, the building was full of character and the restaurant food was delicious. A great stay, will definitely be returning the next time we are in the area!

After ordering my pint of Guinness, then taking my drink I smelt vape. Sure enough someone was vaping indoors . Is there no fresh air ever. I will not be back!
