The best restaurants in Brighouse Calderdale Yorkshire and The Humber

Was in here Saturday night and was served by a lovely young girl very good service made a really nice amaretto sour. While making it she struggled to get the Boston’s apart this girl she was working with (kinda tall, red hair constant foul look on her face believe her name is Caitlin) came over and snatched them off the poor girl. While waiting to be served she was snappy with other customers.

Myself and family visited The Tannery for their ‘steak night’ and had a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and friendly and there was a nice atmosphere all round. The steak deal was fantastic value for money and cooked to perfection. All of our steaks came exactly as asked, top marks to the chef. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu, so can’t comment on that, but steak night is a must for anyone (vegan option also available). Highly recommend.

I cannot understand all of the great reviews. The restaurant was not inviting. Food OK. Staff OK. Did not want to stay any longer than need be due to there being no heating.

The special was hot beef sandwich. I chose it. But the beef was inedible. It was so tough I couldn’t chew it. . I think the staff should try it themselves before serving so they know it’s ok.

Incluso teniendo en cuenta el agitado fin de semana nos fuimos muy decepcionados con la comida y el servicio de atención al cliente. El menú era muy limitado y nos dijeron que el Chocolate inmediatamente teteras sin guarnición para nuestros sándwiches. Estábamos muy relajado sobre este como apreciamos tales estaba concurrido (pero bien planeado para fin de antes). Nuestros sándwiches servían en un plato pequeño con patatas fritas empapadas. Esperé 15 minutos para ser servido con un café frío mientras mi amigo me dieron un batido de un cartón. Después de esperar por la comida por debajo de la media nos pareció bastante ofensivos a preguntar con 2 minutos de tener un café paquete en frente de nosotros a pagar inmediatamente. El fin de 1940 es siempre estaba bien planificada con antelación, nos sentimos el chocolate de teteras debería haber sido preparado para la gran cantidad de clientes. Si esto nos esperaba un precio considerable para ser descontado de la factura o al menos una disculpa.

Food was fresh, tasted great too a good selection on the menu and daily specials. Lovely friendly staff. Would definitely go again. Parking outside and easy access.

Myself and my bridesmaids ate the night before our wedding and wow! It was a taster of what was to come. It was delicious. Lamb rump cooked perfectly and triple cooked chips, 😍. The wedding breakfast was just as delicious and can't wait till return. Perfect ❤️

Eggs Benedict with smoked Salmon and hot cheese sauce. O baby, delicious £10. Red velvet cake with pouring cream. Come to daddy £5 indulgent cappuccino smooth and lovely. Relax and enjoy. Mmmmm

Went Saturday evening the lady in front of house said to us she is the only staff serving ind 2 cooking . She was absolutely brilliant she never stopped the service was excellent and the food was excellent. Well done .

Visited Sun 20/04/2025 Exceptional Service from Jess asked for extra hot coffee that's what I got . A great experience in a clean place. Thank you all.

Bottomless Brunch with 8 of us. Really really good service, selection of cocktails, beer, soft drink or coffee. Food platters were lovely and really made it. Comfy seating. Lovely

We arrived at 4.25pm. The menu states “Serving food 7 days a week, open - 4.45pm. So we assumed we had a 20 minute wait until they started serving food. We got a drink, checked the menus, all watched by the servers. We went up at 4.47pm, to order food, only to be told that it CLOSED at that time, not opened. She said we had taken so long to order that we had missed it. It’s unbelievable that she stood and watched us for 20 minutes, looking at the menus, without warning us. Then blamed it on us. We won’t be back.
