Myself and family visited The Tannery for their ‘steak night’ and had a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and friendly and there was a nice atmosphere all round. The steak deal was fantastic value for money and cooked to perfection. All of our steaks came exactly as asked, top marks to the chef. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu, so can’t comment on that, but steak night is a must for anyone (vegan option also available). Highly recommend.

The Tapas selection was excellent, but this was our first visit and we had not appreciated that the offer of 6 for £36 would result in so much food! Our lunch would have been fine for a group of 4 , but was far too much for 2. Some guidance would have been helpful, but we were not offered any. The expected discount for Gourmet Society did not apply to this offer so we ended up paying far too much. The food was excellent, but we still left feeling that we had not received good value.

We keep driving past The Tannery, and always say, 'we must go there'...well, finally, we did! We left the teenagers at home and came out for a rare date night. The food and service were both fabulous...and when we actually realised that we had over ordered, it was no problem to get the rest boxed up. We will definitely go again, we might even let the children come next time!

Up from S Devon for 4 nights B&B nearby. My wife spotted a shared Sunday Roast for 2 deal here. Excellent value @ £20, good food, buzzy vibe and young staff team. Recommended.

Food was average had better roast dinners. Service was not up to scratch. Our table was not ready on arrival. Wasn’t asked if our child wanted a meal had go and find a server. Forgot to bring a drink when asked. Didn’t bring bill when asked. Some serious training needed with staff members. Service was slow and slack. Came because of a groupon voucher and wouldn’t have been happy paying full price if didn’t have the voucher. Will not be returning.

We have been previously and it has always been lovely. This time we went for Mothers day, the service was great (we even got 2 free glasses of prosecco). We ordered the Tapas starters, they had good range of variety and all tasted delicious. We then had the sharing platter consisting of Beef, Chicken and Belly Pork, served with all the trimmings, this was amazing and filled us all up! We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

Avoid Sunday dining, we have been before, it was very good, on this occasion though; that wasn't the case. We were greeted with slack rude service, at a very slow pace, two of our party said the food was ok, two were not happy, I had rubbery chicken and a cold uncooked yourkshire pudding, my daughter had cold roast potatoes, both plates covered with gravy when neither of us like gravy. We would have asked for no gravy but had already been told everything was served separately by an abrupt waitress while enquiring about vegetables. This visit was spoiled, when we know from a previous visit they can serve great food. Here's hoping it was a one off, they did try to addresses the situation with a reduction, however, a great dining experience would have been preferred. Excuses were made that it was a busy day and the waitress was young, Serving everything one item at a time doesn't help when it's busy, neither does being rude or inept.

Excellent food both the tapas style starters and the Roast dinner. Nice cosy environment, lovely staff and live music on the night we visited. This was our first visit but won’t be our last.

Had a lovely meal. We ordered a range of tapas to share; all were really tasty, and the portion sizes were very generous. We will definitely be returning.

Been a few times now to the Tannery. Exceptional service. Never have to wait long for food. Drinks come quickly once ordered. With it being a Sunday, we ordered the roast chicken which was incredible. Live music was also present which was great. Will definitely be back again but next time for the tapas.

Venue - Cosy (wood burning stove) clean & a good ambiance. Staff - Polite, helpful & informative Drinks - A good choice of lagers, local ales, wines & spirits Food - A good choice a of food, tapas style. Price - Very fairly priced. As stated above, these are the attributes which I enjoyed about The Tannery in Hipperholme. However, the food for me was not up to a good standard. I ordered 4 tapas dishes and only 1 was tasty and enjoyable. The 1 dish I did enjoy was the steak which was cooked very well and seasoned with garlic salt & pepper laid on top of a bed of crunchy broccoli. This created a nice dish with good balance. Unfortunately, the other 3 dishes which included garlic prawns, grilled halloumi & fish goujons were poor. The fish goujons were dry and tasteless. The grilled halloumi was again tasteless and not crunchy on the outside of the cheese. The one dish which was the most disappointing was the garlic prawns which were rubbery/ overcooked and the garlic sauce was also over seasoned (too salty). The waitress did ask if I had an issue with the garlic prawns (only one was eaten) and explained what I stated above. I was surprised that I was not offered another portion cooked to a better standard or have the dish removed from the bill.

We booked for lunch (4 people). Opted for the Tapas & wine deal. The red was a smooth tempranillo Very friendly service; we were given good advice about the choices. Beer choice (ale) was great with Saltaire Blonde and Wishbone (Keighley) brewery ale. So, the tapas were excellent. Full of flavour, good choice including some vegetarian choices. Some seasonal options also (go google the menu). All well prepared, large portions (you will be full by the time you leave!!) Served in a timely way and as Tapas should be (coming out in a staggered way) More than enough to share (I'm not a sharer, but with these portion sizes, you have to The room was clean, well decorated and furnished and on a cold day, being near the fire kept us toasty. We will return and if you haven't dined here (or called in for a drink), go do it. The staff are very attentive and you will be well looked after.

Fantastic food and service, the tapas dishes were superb and plentiful portions. Great value especially on the 6 for £30 deal and drinks reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend and we will be back to try the brunch options!

Stopped off for Burritos before the cinema, and really enjoyed the food. Would strongly recommend the beef burrito and loaded fries! Generous helpings and good prices. I look forward to coming back to try the jalapeño poppers!

Disappointing food. Had the haddock and there was a very small piece of fish in a soup of Hollandaise sauce. Half of the mains were not available.

Lovely welcoming pub with great food and a warm atmosphere. Recently changed hands and the new landlords have brought with them super friendly staff, permanently lit fires and (so far anyway), fab menus. …Traditional pub food but elevated with added twists and nice presentation. Really enjoyed our three visits so far (once for a couple of pints and twice for food) and will definitely be back. Beautiful walks on the doorstep too.

Came for new years and although the food was very nice, I felt the service was lacking, especially in comparison with 22 the square in CrossHills. We had meatballs and creamy mushrooms to start. Both were delicious. Followed by two pasta dishes- one carbonara, one mushroom pasta. The food was really lovely. We did need to ask for things a few times e.g water and cocktails. And it didnt feel the staff are as friendly as its Crosshills counterpart.
