A great place for Sunday breakfast. Lovely food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. The vibe of chatting happy customers was lovely ☺️ Only downside was the thump thump thump of unnecessary music when the place was already buzzing with conversation. For an hearing impaired person it was a distraction for me so probably annoying to others.

Been to Mamil Brighouse probably about 100 times in past couple of years. Exemplary service, great vibe, relaxation personified. Cycling and dog friendly. But not exclusive or highbrow. Everything seems thought out. Literally the best coffee in West Yorkshire if not the North (I drink a lot of coffee). Long May it continue

Called for brunch on a very busy Saturday morning. As unable to book we were very lucky to get the last table. Attractive looking cafe with cycling theme - a few dogs ( all welcome) You order food and drinks at the bar, and even though it was very busy we were served in good time. Coffee strong and tasty. Scrambled egg on toast was a very good sized portion, But didn’t taste freshly made. Pancakes ( are they shop bought?) were a little dry and bacon also dry. Tea very weak. All in all a reasonable breakfast for a reasonable price but certainly not the best.

Purchased two toasted teacakes - both stone cold...one sent back requesting a replacement hot one. Same one returned still cold. Simply not good enough. Very disappointing as was a regular customer here.

They have Vocation's Bread and Butter on tap and at a reasonable price. It's just one of the best session beers around, and local too. Nice place, always busy and great beer.

We called in on a cold Friday lunchtime in January to find most of the tables full or reserved. We managed to bag table 14 which had a view of the canal but also an annoying draught that seemed to come through the window. I had Mexi Eggs - beautifully cooked poached eggs on a bloomer - I’d have liked more of a kick from the chilli flakes. My wife had Eggs Benedict - again lovely eggs but she’d have preferred her bacon to be less crispy. Goid quality strong coffee. Total bill just over £20 - good food and a lively atmosphere.

Our favourite local lunch stop. Great atmosphere, funky decor inside (which belies its exterior), good service and scrumptious food. Don’t pass it by!

Today my husband and I took out grandaughter to Mamil Cafe Bar for lunch. It was so delicious, generous portions, beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. There was a good choice on the menu. We had been a few times for coffee but never eaten there. For certain we will be going back! The staff are friendly and helpful too.

Mamil has a lovely, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It’s dog friendly so perfect after a walk on the canal. There’s a great choice of drinks, local beers and lovely cakes. The food is amazing, in particular the flat breads. Everyone working there is friendly. I really recommend this place and everyone I recommend it to loves it too.

Lovely cafe, not the place t9 come if your in a rush, though. It's meant to be enjoyed and relaxed in. Food is always 10/10. I've been a few times, and it's always bob on! You order ar the bar, and your drinks and food come when they are ready, so just sit back and relax in the lovely bike themed decor, which is quirky and cool. Will always come back for more!

Just been today, with my Wife, Sister and Nephew. We had a good time, the food was exceptionally good. My Nephew liked the fish Sea Bass Filet in that case, my Sister had and myself had the Old Gate burger with chips, my Wife had the Guijon Chicken Burger. The Waiter was not pushing ( specifically with the bill ) at all All in all very good

Disappointing food. Had the haddock and there was a very small piece of fish in a soup of Hollandaise sauce. Half of the mains were not available.

A lovely traditional pub steeped in local history that for the last few years has suffered from a revolving door of short lived landlords without a clue. What a refreshing change then to see that the Hinch' has finally got new landlords (Oct2024) who clearly know how to run a pub. Within a short period of time they have successfully managed to breathe new life into what had become a tired and soulless place to eat and drink. On the two occasions we've been since the Hinch reopened we've been super impressed with the food. In fact the cheese and onion pie might well be the best pie l've tasted in the Calder Valley (or ever!) and the flavourful and plentiful Sunday Roast offering was a cut above your usual pub ‘roast’ offering. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the food if you’re looking for somewhere to eat - especially when it comes without the hassle of parking in Hebden Bridge. On each occasion we’ve been, the Hinch was busy with drinkers and diners which is great to see. The trade off is you've only got the choice of Manchester owners JW Lees’ own branded mystery beer offerings. Forget the craft-ale revolution, or the fact that Vocation brewery is literally 5 mins away, the solitary guest beer offering here is San Miguel. I guess you can't have everything, but at least the food and atmosphere more than makes up for it!
