Arrived shortly after evening opening time to a warm welcome. Can’t fault the service or the food, if you like a tasty curry with efficient service I highly recommended this place.

We booked a table at the restaurant I honestly can not fault the place the food was amazing the portions for the meal for two deal could easily have fed five people the waiter zayyan was fantastic he couldn't do enough to help you he was so friendly and welcoming we were visiting family so we don't live near by we are around 2hrs drive away and I can honestly say I would drive The distance just to go back for another meal there I couldn't believe how cheap the meal was I highly recommend this restaurant.

Over rated restaurant, much better elsewhere. Where do I start. - Customer service is awful, nearly non existent if I am being honest. - Ventilation really needed, you enter that restaurant and leave stinking of curry, clothes still smell later on during the evening. - Everything is served with nearly a bag of onions quantity wise, they must employ someone just to peel and chop onions. - Delivery drivers are rude and park where the hell they like. - Floor is sticky and greasy - You are guaranteed a bad stomach the day after.

The food was good, but customer service was poor. The waiters brought out our main meal before we had finished our starters. They removed our plates and pickle tray without asking. Looking at the reviews, it seems this has occurred previously with customers . The owner needs to address this matter with his staff.

Stayed in Brighouse so took a chance on Google and this restaurant popped up, so pleased it did. Quick call and although busy they found us a table quickly. Food was outstanding, cheese Seek kebab and lamb tikka starters followed by king prawn sizzler and chicken chilli and garlic obviously with rice and nan breads. Absolutely no complaints at all, the food was exceptional from start to finish. Only minor gripe is there was a large party of very loud p*ssed customers who spoilt the ambiance of the place. We would def recommend a visit and we will be back.

Visited many times and been lovely,service second to none,was there on sat 1st June with my sister,service was slow,they wasn't really busy,our poppadoms arrived,was still eating them,when our food arrived,they brought starters and main together ? There wasn't much room on the table so I lifted my plate,to make some room,I had my poppadom in one hand and the plate in another,I couldn't believe what the waiter did,he pretty much snatch my plate out of my hand,I said excuse me I'm still eating,he just walked off,I wasn't happy to say the least

This used to be our favourite place for a family meal. Not anymore! The staff are rude, you get your cutlery just dumped on the table, you get your food thrown at you! No water is offered. We actually felt like a nuisance! We ordered some fruit shoots for the children to be told they was charging £3.00 each. We then told the waitress we would not be paying that so could we have cordial instead. The waitress still tried to charge us £3.00 for each fruit shoot despite telling her 3 times we was not having them. The customer service used to be second to none, it really isn't anymore and we will not be going back!

This place never disappoints. The food is absolutely delicious the staff are so so friendly and welcoming if there was a 10 ⭐️ rating on trip advisor it would definitely be a 10. I would absolutely recommend this place. We always enjoy the food and hospitality here and will continue to do so. Great place great restaurant and more importantly great customer service.

This restaurant's hygiene is absolutely appalling. From the moment you step in, you're hit with a wave of nauseating odors that seem to linger in the air like a foul fog. The tables are sticky with who-knows-what, and the utensils look like they've never seen soap and water. Staff who seem oblivious to the concept of cleanliness. If you value your health, stay far, far away from this germ-infested nightmare.

Family of 4 and we have just eaten like Kings! The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. The chef and all the staff are great people. Would highly recommend this restaurant for food and atmosphere. If I could give more stars I would xxxx

Terrible evening. Food was tasteless,not hot, rice sent back & when it came back he stood there & told me to taste it first !!! It had hot pepper all over it, so it was not edible, service appalling, Manager was indignant about it all, offered a & £20 refund on a bill of over £200. One of the tables fell over because it was missing a leg !!! Had to ask for cutlery as incomplete on a prebooked table, list was endless too numerous to mention.

Went for a birthday meal, Food was bland, had to send some food back, service was poor, waitress just dumped a load of cutlery in the middle of the table, waited an hour and a half for food, had to keep asking fo water, then when the water came, about 4 glasses were brought for 13 people, manager was arrogant when we complained, as though we must be telling lies about how poor the food and service was, would never go there again.

Very disappointing went for birthday meal with family and friends. poor service manager very arrogant. food was bland most of us left food it just wasn't nice. waited over an hour and it didn't come out all together some of us waited. we was actually placed in the what I would call it a storage room wasn't even sat in the part of the restaurant. which I found very disgusting. would i recommend it to any of my friends and family no i wouldn't. table wasn't even set asked for cutlery and they just placed it in middle of the table. waitress spilt a drink and expected us to clean it up. then a table tipped over which had a missing leg. Then a waitress came and got a few chairs which was lifted above my friends head. I could go on. The manager just didn't want to know. The place looks lovely food and service was not even a one star. They absolutely ruined my birthday meal and not so much of a sorry.

Too noisy couldn’t hear the people sat on your own table. Food was poor, the chicken Biryani was bland, stodgy, basically inedible. Service unfriendly.

Astonishingly busy on weekday. I recommend going early opening or late evening if you don’t want it really loud me and my wife are both in our 70s and wanted a nice quite meal we will take note to go early hours on our next visit, individuals who were serving were very attentive and food was really nice just how I asked for it: I cannot complain.

Despite hearing mixed reviews my curry was delicious. Drinks pricing was a bit off. £11 for a glass of Prosecco (steep) £4.95 for a pint (agreeable) but £3.95 for a half. (Bit annoying when you order a half)

Amazing is all I can say went with a mixture roughly 15 friends and family service was absolutely out the roof, the waiters couldn’t be attentive enough, anything we needed they sorted for us straight away and food was 5* now will become my regular place to dine at cannot complement enough

Went out with a group of girlies for a hen do and it did not disappoint the servers were great and had a lot of patience with our table as you can imagine we were having the time of our life. The girl in charge upstairs was ever so helpful when it came to settling up I cannot remember her name for the life of me but salute to her for all the hard work she does alongside the other waiters keep it up guys. Will be back !!!!!

Has had a price increase not complaining it did need it: still ever so cheap/reasonable for the best curry around. Can’t find a curry and service like this around for the price been with the Mr and paid 45£ for both of us for starters, mains, sides & drinks also been with a group of people which we’ve paid 20£ per head cannot complain at all especially with the cost of living now let’s all appreciate the fact we can still go for an evening out and not spend hundreds to enjoy ourself! Respect to the staff at this place always make our visit enjoyable, always so busy but the food and service speak for itself.

Been recommended this place a few times so 5 of us decided to pop down on the weekend. It was honestly crazy we had a bit of a wait but that was our own fault for not pre booking didn’t expect it to be as busy as it is but could see weren’t forgot about the moment a table came up we were seated under all fairness. I don’t know how the workers cope with some aggy customers I couldn’t do it for the life of me but they handle situations to the best of their ability had a few couples umphing and arhing about their wait alongside us however they didn’t book either. The food was spot on the sizzlers were sizzling and the curries were 5* and once seated everything so prompt, I think we’ve found a new place to return to now I can see why it’s so raved about did not disappoint

The food was excellent as always , we have been visiting this establishment for 7+ yrs however this is the third occasion recently we have been and have been over charged for the food, this has coincided since the change of staff has occurred and its not by a couple of quid ! lovely as it is, its time for somewhere new.

Waited a long time for main meal. Fish curry had skin in it. When we spoke to the owner he was abrupt and dismissive. We even apologised for complaining and we're told to just pay. Disappointed and sad as this used to be our favourite place to eat.

Service and food were very good. It was extremely busy and our order came promptly. However, the premises could do with a deep clean. The floor was very greasy. Don’t think it had had a mop with hot soapy water in a couple of months. If this is the front of house standard, wonder what it’s like behind the scenes?

Takeaway. Food was half an hour late and staff DO NOT answer the phones when enquiring about where the food is. This is not the first time we have had issues with this. Last time, I lost £50 worth of food we ordered for a birthday because they simply didn't send anything and couldn't get in touch with them as they weren't answering the phones! Won't be ordering from here again. AVOID.

Tried a few curry houses recently and we always compare them to the royal Delhi as it’s the best. Everything from the service to the food is just amazing. If anyone asked where they should go for a curry I’d send them to the royal Delhi.

I’d heard good things about this restaurant, I and booked a table for 4. Upon arriving we were seated upstairs. Straight away it was so noisy. This was at 7pm on a Saturday night. Service from waiter staff was okay/good. The starters came pretty quickly, onion bhajis were yummy, the fish pakora, not so much. We then waited over an hour for our mains. The restaurant was clearly too busy for the amount of people, who were packed in like sardines. My husband left the restaurant due to the noise and having ADHD. . We spoke to a member of staff who apologised for our wait and refunded 1 pint of lager. As we’d drank more waiting for our meal, it’s pretty null and void. They offered a free drink if we come back again. Not sure we will. The mains were lovely.

Ordered on just eat, ordered at 6:30. Said delivered at 7:45. Impossible to get through then when we did they said it’s just been cooked and will be 10/15 minutes. It’s been another 40 minutes and still no food!! We’ve ordered from here before but definitely won’t again! If you’re busy turn off orders, it’s now too late to cook. I went out this week with a few work colleagues here. The food was ok, a bit too greasy for me but my colleagues enjoyed it, the portions sizes are decent. The food was served super quick. After we finished our main meal (we'd only been there an hour), we were asked by one of the servers if we could leave to make room for a table of 10 coming in (didn't ask us for deserts and there were other tables that had been there longer). They didn't offer us a discount or anything like that, my colleague complained to one of the servers but they weren't bothered, they just said we're really busy and we'll sort you out next time. What does that mean? And there won't be a next time we can guarantee that. Pretty shocking really, happy to take our money but equally happy to kick us out after 1 hour. Won't be returning.JH

Myself and work colleagues go out once a month for a curry trying different places in the area and this restaurant is one of the very best the food is beautiful and plentiful BUT that’s not all that you want on a night out. You want to be able to enjoy the company your in without being rushed and asked to leave as soon as you put your cutlery down because people wanted to come in. Never mind being asked if you want anything else after your main course!!!

A very busy night which made the restaurant both hot and loud. Poppodoms were very soft and unappetising and not a great start to our meal. The curries were all tasty but not overly hot. Whenever I am working in the area, I try and stay in Brighouse just so I can eat at the Royal Delhi.The food is excellent. Very fresh and great flavours. Portion sizes are also very generous.The staff are very friendly as well.I can't wait for an excuse to go back there!

We decided to go out for a meal props the first one in 3 years wit out any kids the staff was welcoming sat us down straight away we ordered drinks then got a completely poppadoms and pickle tray the mango and coriander was the favourite we ordered chicken liver and chicken tikka pieces for starters which was very big portions but some of the nicest I have ever had the my wife got the chicken tikka mackhani I got chicken jalfrasi both was spot on and reasonably priced had a lovely night with be back again the waitress think it was kitty was on the ball and being a chef my self I was thinking we need someone like her at our place everything was spot thank you for a lovely night and great food

Food was amazing which was matched by the service. We was a little nervous as we toook our 3 year old for the first time for a curry (he loves a korma) to say the restaurant was amazing with him is an understatement, the restaurant was packed also which tells you all you need to know. This was 5pm !! Honestly, the food was spot on and I can't recommend enough. From what I hear from friends the food has always been on point but the service has lacked, that's been out to bed by the looks of it.

We ate in there on Saturday evening. Although it was busy and were were upstairs in the second dining room, the service was very good. There was plenty of choice on the menu. The food was well cooked and presented. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional.

I had a party of 6 booked for 6.30pm on Saturday 10th July. We had drinks and popadoms with pickle tray. Ordered all our meals. After maybe 1hr 45 mins “we lost your order” , Give them complimentary drinks say front of house manager. No drinks arrived!After asking over and over where our meals were to no avail.We left at 9pm. Terrible service and no apology. I’ve emailed, I’ve private messaged the Restaurant, no reply so with that we will not be using the Royal Deli again.

Wow. They were busy and short staffed. I’m amazed they were able to serve anyone. It wasn’t perfect and we’ve had better service here but you cannot fault their efforts and resilience to keep going. And the food was excellent as always. It was one of those nights where a few customers were getting cross but we are coming out if Covid- give them a break. This was our first trip to the Delhi since Feb 2020 and we will happily go back every week when we can.

I don’t normally rate local Indian takeaways but tonight the one from Royal Delhi in Brighouse was simply stunning.I ordered two starters and one main: 4 masala lamb chops, 6 Tikka King Prawn, 1 Keema Curry and chappatis.£17 including delivery with free popadoms and my Uber Eats discount.Arrived hot, enormous portions and carefully packaged. No standard oil spillage in the bottom of the bag. More than enough for 2 people.

We booked a table and it had just reopened, post covid.We had a long wait after ordering but it was very busy and there were plenty of staff. The take away orders were flying out. The poppadoms and pickle tray were lovely.My pal and I had a very enjoyable mixed Delhi starter. This would be enough as a meal!My pal had a chicken dopiaza and I had chicken balti garlic. Both were excellent and we both had naan breads that were lovely too.We really enjoy coming here and they have draught cobra. We got a free half each due to the delays.It totalled £56 all in. Decent price for excellent food. We will be back!

This review started out negatively. We visit the restaurant on a regular basis in normal times and are always happy. We’ve done 2 Xmas days - the first was bedlam but still thoroughly enjoyable.We ordered takeaway tonight as a birthday treat for my partner. We requested delivery at a specific time to coincide with my daughter getting home from work. The food came an hour early- any other time this would be ok however it was an hour early for eating and as we are having the kitchen refitted did not have proper facilities for re-heating. We really felt like the £50 we had spent was a complete waste of money.My partner phoned to complain and was offered an apology but no solution. I was just typing up my review when we received a call back from the restaurant who were very apologetic and assured they would send the order out again at the requested time.The second order arrived on time and included beers as a little thankyou.In my mind this is excellent customer service - just as we always experience in the restaurant. On top of that, the food was fantastic as always. Thankyou Royal Delhi, you really turned this one round and we look forward to our next visit when we are allowed.

Have loved coming to this restaurant on numerous occasions with the family (up to 10 people at times) so placed an order at 5pm with the understanding it was New Years Eve-website stated a maximum 90 mins.8 o’clock came & after 50+ attempts to get through (later found out they had taken the phone off the hook) we went down as we had already paid online.When I went in there were 10+ customers in there complaining with the same issue, turns out the orders hadn’t even been started! The manager I was told was on holiday & they fobbed everyone off with 3 bottles of cider but no explanation on why this had happened. One staff member thought it was highly amusing in fact! They were only just starting sending out orders from 5pm at 8:30pm!!!Totally spoilt New Year’s Eve as we were almost past hungry & ruined our plans for the remainder of the evening. So many people were affected by this and surely especially with the last few months (and knowing you would be busy) you would make sure you were prepared as a restaurant.They have now lost our custom & no doubt many others with this especially with it affecting a special night.
