Purchased a fish& chip meal x2 from just eat £22,00 the fish was burnt to a crisp.The owner was very rude when I phoned to complain. Won't have.my custom again.

The chip shop has a three star hygiene rating. (As of march 2024) Try mother Hubbards over the road . Much better.

Sadly had to wait over 30 minutes to be served due to the number of Fast Food orders for the delivery drivers to collect. Please consider giving priority to walk in customers. Staff trying their best with the demand of constant online orders and walk in customers.

Very bad customer service from the owner. Accutly very rude avoid at all cost. Also found hair in the food. Would not even give this establishment one star does not even deserve it. Like I said avoid giving your hard earned money to a disrespectful establishment that does not value it's customers.

we have ordered twice from King Cross, very tasty fish, good amount of portion and their chicken strips was very nice. Very well packed, got it delivered and was hot even after 15 minutes. Recommend.

Ok so just eat didn’t deliver but was down to king cross to get the order right. So no tea for one of us, order incomplete. Not good enough, missing regular fish and chips. Rang them, acknowledged mistake but did not rectify and took phone off hook!!! So rude, will not use again. Shame as was good but now very poor.

This place has gone downhill used to enjoy the fish and chips from here now you get dry old chips and rubber for a fish will not be coming back here again food was disgusting what a waste on money

Very poor . Used to be very good place . Had sausage and chips today and for the 2nd time in a row now the chips were dark and rock hard . Thought the 1st time was just one of them days but tried them again today and genuinely werent even edible .

Usually my favorite chippy, although this time I was told to wait for fresh chips but when I got home the chips i received had been fried atleast 3 times over. Ridiculous

My boyfriend placed an order and there were 2 battered sausages in the order and what we received were unbattered sausages with a note saying 'we ran out of batter sorry' and sent a 'complimentary' fishcake (I'm allergic to fish) and some really over done battered what I think are scallops. They also missed a portion of chips off the order. The most bizarre take away I've ever had

This place used to be amazing before they started doing deliveries. Now the quality of the food has dropped a lot. It's still better thsn most, just not as good as a few years ago.

Ordered for the first and last time last week. Large fish was just average size but loads of hard overcooked crunchy batter. Low quality fish, totally overcooked and tasteless, very shoddy. Left review on Just Eat, got a sarcastic reply that they were glad I enjoyed the peas. Obviously no interest in addressing complaints and zero customer service skills.

ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL FISH AND CHIPS....AVOID. Undercooked chips Old fish makes the taste overly strong and unpalatable (l know I worked at a wholesaler) And as for the curry sauce it was like water...just awful. I regularly order from king cross fisheries on ubereats and it has always been incredible food and always warm, love the with compliments extras we get given too :), thank you!

Had fish n chips from there during lockdown, they were lovely,, went back today the fish was shocking thought I was eating a battered sardine.

I checked on Google to see the opening times so I could drive there to collect my own food. The shop shuts at 8pm. I arrived at 7.35 to be told they had sold everything. The shop was busy with customers but surely if you do not close till 8pm you would continue to cook up until closing. This shop obviously does not need my custom so I will be sure to take my custom elsewhere!

The man that works there has something against Asians I went there for the first time to order my food and he pulled a face and spoke to me rudely then the customers who came after me were being treated very nicely and I could not understand why but I stayed quiet because I did not want to cause a scene but appalling customer service

Not the worst but far from good...just average. Chips were small and greasy, battered sausage had soft batter very little taste. Price ok, will go elsewhere next time.

Fish was pink in the middle and chips were hard not very appertizing. In fact, it went from white on the outside, to pink, then brown told me it was a wrong un. Reckon tomorrow is going to be fun!

I was in the mood for fish and chips last night, I went to 7 different fisheries. 4 were closed. 2 didn't take card payments and finally I stumbled onto King Cross Fisheries! Open and they take card!! They were extremely busy with 6 or 7 Just Eat drivers hanging round badgering for orders, so I had to wait. Whilst waiting more drivers appeared and then suddenly a large fan decided to throw itself off the back shelf causing a right mess! The two servers just laughed and carried on serving! Eventually I was served my delicious fish and chips! Massive thank you to them for keeping calm and carrying on! True professionals!!

Although the fish and chip were nice is a shame about the server behind the counte( not the fryer ) was very rude and very abrupt unfortunately she had no customer service training and I felt like I was being treated disrespectfully as a paying customer. But like I said fish and chips were not bad.

Absolutely gorgeous fish and chips. Ordered online. Came on time with just eat. Curry sauce was missing. I checked the order and we paid for this. Probably an honest mistake but my oven blew up today and every penny counts when you have lost your job to covid like me

Customer service is awful, theres a short fat women with dark hair old miserable who does not know what a friendly smile is. We went in after travelling all the way from south and she looked at us in a funny disgusted way and served us with a miserable face. Our whole family felt uncomfortable and to top that we asked for a ketchup sachet and she charged us £2.89 WHAT?!? a £0.10p sachet for £2,89 you miserable women Im never coming back

had a delivery yesterday unfortunately the chips were inedible looked as though they had been previously cooked and left not crispy - waste of money - problem is when you order and pay on line and get a delivery there is no comeback just left with inedible meal maybe all the people who gave you 4 stars plus had freshly cooked food

Ordered through Uber Eats app, but was truly ripped off! Besides uber eats charging excessive amounts of fees for service, delivery and a small order fee? The original order turned up that weren't enough to feed my cat. Complained over the phone who then lied and said they would reimburse all of the money Uber charged if we order some more food to compensate, but then had a measly £2.30 for the medium bag of chips which Uber charged £8.01 for. Ring again and they denied ever saying that. The restaurant is a con, DO NOT buy here, unless you only like small over priced meals.

Just had a delivery through Deliveroo, they arrived very quickly, were still hot but most importantly they were delicious.

Very friendly staff and good prices fish and chip very well cooked and not soggy with fat curry sauce was good too.

Proper local business, the staff here are great and they offer loads of stuff, deals on certain meals as well. Can't fault here, highly recommend

Very good. Better than Mother Hubbards. Quality fish home made batter and fresh chips. Not like Mother Hubbards which uses batter mix pre cooked chips and poor cardboard cartons that doesn't keep your food hot. Nothing like wrapping fish and chips in good old paper. It keeps it hot
