Absolutely disgusting takeaway. Ordered duck, about 1g of meat and the rest was duck skin, v v v bad. Worst ever had. Daughter had pad Thai again with duck. Hers was microwaved but tasted like it had been fried in a dirty chip fryer. Awful avoid at all cost

What a disappointment . So looking forward to our takeaway but wished I’d not wasted my money. I ordered DUCK which was £2 extra on top of the noodle dish. It was £2 of FAT , GRISTLE , YUK, Absolutely disgraceful and had I been eating inside I would have sent it straight back and walked out .It just looked like something which had been returned earlier from a previous customer’s plate. Another had prawns ALL FOUR OF THEM . Another £2 extra.on top of frilly carrots, one tiny piece of raw cauliflower. Some onion and one mushroom cut into four. I could go on but not wasting any more time as I’ve wasted ENOUGH MONEY.

We go a lot, as a family. If you want an upmarket dining experience it isn't the place, with just a small dining room, but for good quality thai it's great. Bring your own is a big appeal if you drink a lot, which we all do. It can practically half your bill. The service is always polite, occasionally slow if they are busy but nevera problem. It's down and dirty, cheap and cheerful but thoroughyl enjoyable. I love the salmon and sea bass dishes which deviate from the norm.

Really poor experience when ordering take out- food was late- phoned 3 times to see where my food was (on the app it said that the delivery driver had set off over 45 mins ago). Was told they would contact the driver and ring me back/ they didn’t. The 3rd time I was told it has been delivered !! It clearly had not! When the food arrived it was cold- so had to reheat in the microwave. It’s a shame to have such poor service- I have regularly ordered over the last few weeks and always enjoyed the food.

We had dinner here on Friday night and it was really good. If Thai West and Thai Sakon are your 5/5 benchmarks, this is a comfortable 4/5. It’s a small cafe layout rather than a restaurant (wipe clean table tops, no alcohol license), with attentive service and pretty fast food arrival. We were the only ones there at 7:30pm and there are only four tables, so I recommend it to others who are hard of hearing like we are, because you won’t struggle to hear! Clean and comfortable, no gorgeous surroundings but the prices are low so my expectations were more than met.The food was great. Good quality chicken and duck meat, lovely king prawns. Light and crispy tempura batter and crisp fried bread in the starters - these things that are easy to do badly were done very well. The Jasmine rice was absolutely delicious, sticky and fragrant, I could eat it all day and all night! We had a set meal for two people; £40 buys you a mixed starter and three mains of your choice with Jasmine rice and egg fried rice on the side.Mixed starters were tasty and fresh, a good range of food perfect if you want to sample a range of dishes. The Tom Yum (I know that’s not quite right but can’t remember the name) soup was mildly spicy and *very* tasty.Other reviewers have commented that it’s made to Western tastes and I agree. The green curry was delicious with what I can tell is excellent quality coconut milk (makes all the difference!) but definitely on the sweeter and milder end of the spectrum - as opposed to the firecracker that I understand it would be in Thailand. I feel like they might benefit from offering a curry with a more traditional heat/sugar level as an option; that would be so great as a lot of us know and respect a traditionally spicy one. The Pad Thai is the dish people will judge you by, and it was fabulous. The beansprout:noodle ratio was dialled too far into beansprout territory in my opinion, but what do I know? I just love rice noodles :-)All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I look forward to getting a takeaway from here soon. When compared to the other Thai takeaway in Brighouse (chaiyo), there’s really no comparison. Thai Sawadhee is a thousand times better in terms of flavour and ingredient quality.

We used to go here regularly for it's wonderful authentic Thai food. We went back at the weekend to see what is was like with new owners. It was still good but the food had been modified right down to the western palate. My spicy duck salad had a reasonable kick - it's supposed be fierce - but beyond that the curries - we had a red and a green and a massaman - were tasty but didn't have enough chilli or fish sauce to be authentic. I'll probably go back as it's cheap and cheerful but I'd make damn sure I'd insist on some spice next time.

This restaurant has now got new owners but the quality and value are still excellent. We've been wanting to go but lockdown restrictions meant we had to wait but it was certainly worth it. We again got a friendly welcome and as you enter you are able to see the open kitchen ( nothing hidden). They obviously use good quality ingredients and spices . The portions are very good. There is a misleading phone number the correct ones are :-01484719792 or. 07487798115.

I've had many a good meal here, but this time was a little disappointing. The red curry was really lacking sauce - great veggies, plenty of of them, but where was all the sauce? That's the only thing that let it down, and as mentioned, it's usually pretty good, so more sauce in future, folks!

I've ordered food regularly from Thai Sawaddee and I'm never disappointed. I live on the adjacent street so mainly order to take out but the people here are extremely friendly and the food is delicious. Brighouse is very fortunate to have a great range of take away options but Thaai Sawaddee is my go to favourite. It's a healthy option and because its slightly off the beaten track it's also never too busy. With an eat in, small restaurant, option this place really is a hidden gem. Highly recommended

This restaurant has new owners who also own a restaurant in Hebden Bridge and the takeaway in the Halifax market. We visited last night 25/07. The restaurant has only been open for 3 days since the takeover and the food was delicious. Having decided on the set menu A for 2, we were more than satisfied with the portion sizes and the service. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol, however you can take your own.Meal for 2 including starters, 3 main courses, double helping of the best egg fried rice we have ever tasted, 2 soft drinks, total bill came to £33.50. Please try this place, you will not be disappointed.

The food was piping hot, tasted amazing and I will be back. I would recommend the Tom yam soup and pad Thai Also there’s free Thai crackers and dip on arrival.... every other Thai restaurant has charged between £3 and £5 for these.

Visited today at 1pm. No customers in the restaurant, just a guy waiting for a takeaway. There was 1 member of staff who saw me but decided to take 2 telephone calls instead of serving me (a paying customer stood right in front of her waiting to be seated/served). If that's not bad business I don't know what is. I walked out.

Ordered take away, staff were pleasant. Was told to come back in 30 minutes, pay when we return. We came back in 30 minutes, we were told another 5 minutes. After 10 mins I asked to pay, we were given a bill and told at this point that they don’t take cards (is this the 1960s?). Set off on foot to get money in the rain, upon returning noticed that they had we had been over charged for all the mains between £1 and £0.50. They knocked it off when we noticed. We were also missing a portion of noodles, which they offered to not charge for.. we opted instead for rice noodles. We agreed that it would all be worth it if the food was great, sadly it was not. The massaman curry was not, sadly a massaman curry by any stretch. It had literally no taste aside from cream and a *slight* hint of nut. The tempura vegetables were a mixture of freshly cooked, and some definitely reheated ones. The noodles were genuinely akin to super noodles, the rice noodles were actually better...Pictured: massaman curry... after I’d eaten as much as I could face.

This place is both a restaurant and a take away. Inside it is certainly not salubrious with plain tables and chairs. The loud music was not to my taste,so glad we were having takeaway. We had ordered about 30 minutes earlier and been given the time it would b ready, but still had to wait 15 minutes, often a feature when cooking fresh ingredients. The staff were pleasant and courteous apologising for the delay. When we returned home the food was warm and smelt appetising. Quantities were just about right but a bit mean with the prawn crackers. Everyone enjoyed the food, including the children. Didn't feel it was thickened with MSG or sweetened with sugar like many Asian takeaways. Would go back but not go out of my way. At around £45 not cheap but reasonable value.I consider myself quite a harsh critic rarely giving 5s!

A an item was missing from the take away order, it meant my husband would have to drive back there to collect so we couldn't be bothered and went without, despite having paid for it. The rest of the order ended up in the bin anyway. My gang masaman had black bits in the bottom that looked like the scrapings from the bottom of the pan and the sauce was very watery and tasteless. I couldn't eat it. Won't be going back there again.

My friends and I meet up every few months and go for a meal. Until recently, we would eat at a variety of restaurants , however, since finding Sawaddee, we now meet and eat there every time. It's a small but extreamly friendly eatery; staff being available to answer any questions we have regarding the dishes that are available. The food is devine, and we have never felt as though we were being rushed (Infact the opposite applies. We have often been the last diners and have been chatting after finishing our meals, it's only then that we notice that the kitchen had closed and staff were waiting to 'lock up'). The menu has dishes to meet any palate, and staff are only too happy to help you chose the right meal according to your taste.

Family take away night. Ordered prawn dim sum: cold and hard not edible. Ped ma-kham roast duck: tub was quarter full. Not a full portion and only had 6/7 small pieces of meat, not enough for one person. The Coconut rice; was the worst ive ever had, it tasted like slop and went in the bin in one go as it was stuck together. The Special fried rice; odd combination; full of whole cherry tomatoes 2 prawns, 2 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces beef.....and was luke warm. I called them to complain straight away as the food was that bad it went straight In the bin. They apologised and said we could have some thing else. Reluctantly we placed another Order.. They Never delivered anything. Avoid like the plague. I'd recommend little chilli Thai!!

My husband and I were looking for something a bit different from the norm, to have a meal out with friends and the Thai Sawaddee didn't disappoint. We went on a Thursday evening and it was very quiet. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. The menu was extensive and it took sometime to make our choices, meanwhile we were given crackers and dip to nibble on. The waitress who took our order was polite and friendly, explaining to us some of the finer points to the menu. The food when it arrived was delicious. My husband chose Prawn Ta Buh Ra, to start while my friend and I plumped for Sawaddee Mixed Starter, we then followed with Gaeng Kiew Wan with Chicken and we settled for the beef Ped Pad Khing all served with Steamed Thai rice. As the Thai Sawaddee operates BYO to alcohol we took bottles of lager but we noticed a couple on a nearby table enjoying some sparkling wine. The bill at the end of the meal was very reasonable and above all the service was excellent. We'll definitely be going again!

Since Zaika changed hands, the service is beyond terrible. We've given them several chances, but takeaway is always horribly late and often with items missing. Takeaway 2 weeks ago took 2 hours! Went to collect tonight - 40 minutes after the stated time and still stood here waiting. No free bhaji with delivery anymore and there's always something missing from the order. Such a shame as the food is lovely. Tonight was last chance saloon and it's been a big fat fail.
