Casa Bar and Restaurant Brighouse in Calderdale

Just OK food nothing to write home about. The place has great views but reading about sewage going into the Lake definitely not good. It felt and looked as if the place could do with a good clean. Tables (legs) dirty and lots of marks. Chairs were the same dirty finger marks definitely not good hygiene. Unfortunately also both my husband and I suffered stomach upset very soon after eating. Will definitely not be going there again

Unfriendly, unwelcoming and unhelpful. I’d suggest visiting an alternative venue if you prefer a modicum of professionalism.

We were staying at the lodges up the road and booked Easter Sunday lunch for 8 of us, celebrating a golden wedding anniversary. It was absolutely lovely. The staff were fantastic with lots of lovely touches, free chocolate bunny for our six year old, talking the trouble to use his name and engage with him (everyone loves it when someone makes a fuss of the kids!)…. The dinner was excellent, with options to buy extras (pigs in blankets etc) whilst these were extra (and not needed for the already substantial meal) they were huge portions and good value. All aspects of the dinner were great and fresh. The deserts were amazing, beautiful ice cream and the best cheese cake (honeycomb) I’ve ever had. All this and the added bonus of large tables, not cramped together as you do often find, and the best views. We all send a huge thank you to the Casa for a perfect family lunch x

Probably the best Sunday roast I’ve had. Everything was cooked to perfection, I had roast beef dinner and my husband had smoked salmon tagliatelle. James & Engin were super friendly and the waitresses were polite and delivered a great service. Nice little touches for Mother’s Day with complimentary dessert, daffodils and chocolates.

Meal with a group of friends including a wheelchair user and the staff were great and very friendly. The food was delicious and some even took some home as the portions are really good sizes.

This venue is more a case of style over substance. Visually, it is stunning, with bars on different levels and an outdoor seating area. Apparently, there is a fabulous view of a neighbouring lake, but we went in the evening and so it was too dark to see. I attended as part of a work Christmas meal. The food was mediocre and the portions were small. The soup was merely warm, the turkey dinner less than substantial (I think I had 3 sprouts on my plate) and the chocolate cake could have been bought from a supermarket, it was so average. Throughout the night, various partygoers slipped on the floor and many girls actually fell down. This is not somewhere I will be returning to.

3 of us visited and all chose different things in the menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed what we had good quality food well cooked.

Arrived at the Casa as rendezvous place to meet up with a dozen friends we hadn’t seen for 12 months. The head waiter James & Engin couldn’t do enough for us to make it a special occasion - they succeeded! The food was delicious. We’ll done the Casa👊🏻

Excellent food, and great service. Top quality ingredients used. Can't wait to go back and try more from the menu. Staff were friendly and attentive.

I visited on Thursday lunchtime. It was a group of 17 of us. I didn't choose the venue, but the person who did the booking lives locally and told us that their previous visits had all been good, so I was looking forward to the meal, despite some of the negative reviews on here. I can't fault the restaurant in any way. The food was excellent, and the service was prompt and efficient. Admittedly the place wasn't busy, being a weekday, so I am not sure if the service would have been as good on a busy weekend, but we all enjoyed the food from the a la carte menu and the wine and the great atmosphere. It's a bit of a way out of Brighouse, but a lovely venue and a picturesque location too.

Would not recommend. Seemed understaffed and the service was shocking. We waited half an hour just to be sat down it took too long to even get a drink order and I found hair in my food. Total disgrace and the food had come out of the microwave.

Absolute shambles of a place . I’ve never seen such I disorganised restaurant in my life . They cared more about the idiots that were drunk at the bar than they did with the people that actually came out for a nice meal . Would definitely not recommend it to anyone. My food for sure came out of the microwave I heard it ping in the back . My partner found a full head of hair in her food and shortly after that we left . The only thing that was nice about it all was the view. Never ever again they should be ashamed of themselves.!

Shocking staff. Shocking owner. The fact the owner allowed wastes to flow in to the lake is one thing. The fact that he allows his staff to not care about customers is another. We won’t be back

This was an afternoon funeral tea, with hot buffet and cold finger food. About 50 people. Enough room , large tables, the parking is easy and near to the crematorium. Very good choice of venue and food ..

I first contacted Casa back in February to discuss a large booking request I had for 26 people. I was planning a celebratory meal and asked if I could have a set menu for ease, everyone could pre order and it would make it easier as I was going to be paying for the entire meal I was told no problem and I would have a set menu after the weekend. I waited and waited and never received it so I chased it up. I was then told I would have it in a week as the chef was on leave. Again I receieved nothing. I sent more emails asking for a response and no on answered the telephone when I tried. I was becoming more dissapointed. I then sent a message on social media asking the owner to contact me as I wanted someone to take ownership. The owner did not contact me but someone else emailed me back saying I will have the menu by the next day. ( this is now April and I'd been asking since February) The menu I recieved was 4 starters and 4 main courses from the main menu and told £27 for two courses! Not one ounce of thought went into it. Every dish offered was a pasta dish and a pizza and if I had combined the starters and mains off the al la carte menu they would only at the most come to £22... and I was being asked for £27!! These figures were plucked out of thin air and a random 4 dishes picked just to pacify me! I was incredibly disappointed. I had asked in my original request for a steak option to be added as a supplement and it was but the supplement was £13, so again more than the ala carte price for a starter and steak. I emailed back advising I was incredibly dissapointed. I had waited 5 month now in total, being ignored numerous times and then to recieve this rubbish. When I emailed back to say how dissapointed i was with this and that I am shocked they are not trying to keep hold of a booking that including drinks and deserts and sides everyone would be ordering, would be a booking worth over £1000! They clearly arnt interested in my business and I can only hope that anyone else trying to organise anything here has a better experience. I wouldn't want to be organising a wedding that is for sure, when you get treat like this, they are obviously in a good position and do not need the custom I am unaware if the owner knows about how his staff have handled this but I'd like to think if he did then he would be training them to value custom as he has lost a large booking. Not to mention losing us as a regular customers. I chose Casa because I have always enjoyed it in the past but after this, we won't return.

We came here for my sisters birthday celebration, waited and waited for both starters and mains - which were wholly disappointing when they did arrive. Two orders were also wrong. After expressing our distaste due to our experience to the on duty manager, he laughed in our faces and told us we were in the wrong. We spend 20 minutes being argued with in an aggressive tone. We had to prompt him for an apology he didn’t want to give. Will never be back - avoid at all costs.

COV-ID NON-COMPLIANT. It was my birthday yesterday and my husband and I wanted to celebrate with one of our favourite restaurants, we have been many times over the years and normally love it, the food is always great and was last night, but it was a total disgrace in respect to social distancing, groups of people moving from table to table, there was a large group which of course isn't allowed, I am talking over 30ish. Drunk people at the bar ordering or just standing there with no masks so you had to squeeze passed, people going to the toilets without masks and not being asked to put them on. We go to a lot of restaurants and bars and they have all been great during Cov-id so it was a great shock last night, and quite honestly very upsetting and we will not be recommending or going again for a very long time.

First time visiting Casa. We went downstairs first to the bar, which was a lovely atmosphere. Went up to the restaurant bar 15 minutes before we were booked in to eat, got a drink and sat at a table. Whilst we was sat there, it appeared that there was a 16 year old birthday girl celebrating there in the bar area. Her and her party seemed to not have to follow the rules of the law (wearing a mask entering the building, until they got to the table they were sat at, of more than 6, may I add, more like 12!)walking in and out with no mask on,as they pleased, amazing!!!! Also the 3 blokes sniffing whatever they were sniffing in the blokes toilets, nice one.... Shame because the food was totally spot on but the law wasn't followed and I don't condone drugs....

Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious, hot and very tasty but if you are wanting a restaurant that is acting responsibly, DONT GO. I told the staff that the bottle of hand gel by the door was empty he wasn't interested. The amount of people in the bar area by the time our food came was ridiculous. when the waiter took our order he almost lent over me until I made him back off. Not a single sign or restriction was in place. If I haven't caught this virus I will be surprised. And people wonder why we are in lockdown again. But like I say, the food was delish.

Visited here yesterday for food for a birthday celebration, I couldn't fault it. The food was lovely and the service was fab from all the staff. Would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again.

This place has good views, good place to go to for drinks. The combination of the bar and restaurant is a little bit weird. It feels like you're trying to eat a meal next to a bunch of kids getting off their faces. Waiters didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing. Creamy mushrooms with bread was mushy and bland, not the right choice of bread to go with that dish. I ordered the seabass for mains that was meant to come with prawns. They said they were out of prawns that night so it would just be the rest of the dish with the fish. But it arrived with the prawns....so I was glad but the whole dish was bland, I think some kinda pea puree was meant to be on the fish but there was just a small green swipe on it. I appreciate times are hard at the moment but the whole experience was a dissapointment

Visited the Casa for my sons 14th birthday as a treat, I knew the prices were quite expensive so I thought it would be a good experience for him, total let down, the starters were ok but the pesto for the bruschetta was obviously out of a jar and slate is for roofing not for serving food on. My two boys had the steak on the hot plate and they really enjoyed the experience and to be honest the steaks were pretty good quality, however my wife had the seafood linguine that resembled mush in juice and my penne pasta with sea bass was a complete shambles, the pasta was totally undercooked and the fish skin was gooey. I did send it back and was offered steak for the same price but by that time I was put off, I then decided to have my boys salad but found dirt on the leaves. Maybe it was just an off night for Casa or I was just unlucky, however for them prices I’d expect much better. Shame the view deserves finer food.

The restaurant is in lovely setting with a cracking view over the lake. However the place itself felt like a cheap knock off of your typical Marbella bar. Considering the pandemic at this current time I was slightly concerned that we were packed into the restaurant like sardines with very little space between tables and limited PPE worn or provided.For a midweek night I was surprised at how busy it was. The atmosphere made it feel like I was in Benidorm on a pre sesh. Not bad thing if that's what you're into.I was a little disgruntled upon attending the restaurant dead on time for our booking, to be left sat in the bar area for over an hour before we were taken to our table. I have a feeling the staff may have forgotten about us, as other people arriving after us were all taken through quite promptly.After been wedged in tightly between two other tables we ordered our starters. I ordered the pork belly and prawns, which in all honesty I thought was an odd combination but nevertheless I thought I'd give it a blast. Sadly however it was very bland and tasteless. The prawns did not taste fresh at all. I have a suspicion they may well have been frozen.Moving on to the mains I ordered the fillet steak and was persuaded by the waiter to order on the hot stone. Presumably so the chef's don't actually have to cook it themselves. I must say it was cooked to perfection. Even if it was by my own hand. Not really much to say about this. It was raw meat with chips that you cook yourself. Not hard to get wrong.All in all I imagine this place would be fantastic for a day session in the sun with a pizza. But for an evening meal not for me.

Sunday Lunch Take Away..... 1 2 or 3 courses ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! They also deliver local...Highly recommend!

I’ve been to this place a few times over the last 5 years and to be quite honest I hadn’t enjoyed it...I’d always been with groups of 14-18, on an evening at the weekend. I’d found the parking a nightmare, having to wait for the table AT LEAST an hour (...is this to get you to buy more drink?), very slow service and almost impossible to hear anyone’s conversation. So, when I was asked to go there for lunch by a friend my heart sank but off I went...and I’m glad I did! It was easy to park, we were seated at a table overlooking the lake, given our drinks immediately and the food came out on time and was VERY fresh (I had the prawn and avocado salad). I’m so glad u gave this place another chance...it’ll be on my list for lunch from now on.

My family birthday, table of eleven @ 7pm,turned up with nine people,ordered drinks at the bar and was shown to the table with in ten minutes of sitting down,ordered starters at 7.25 and arrived at the table by 7.50.i had a fantastic tasting pate with homemade pickled, it was fab, the fish strips in batter slightly spiced looked large enough to share between two ,my wife shared the mozzarella dish with my son.dishes cleared away very quick followed with the main course.Well steak to die for , five of us had the house fillet steak on the hot board, cook your self with peppercorn sauce, again magnificent in flavour to complement the steak, two had the salmon fillet, beautifully cooked to perfection, served with salted ,but veg needs to be ordered separate which was missed when we ordered , wife had the mushroom stroganoffs, rich , creamy and full of flavour, and her sister had a chicken pasta dish.we had eaten the meal by 9 o clock and then had coffees to finish.Could not thank the staff for the great service, and even the embarrassing cheese cake with candles and the birthday song playing in the restaurant upon deliveryWill go back again for a fantastic steak and lovely meal so don't always believe what you read and give it a try.its the in place to go, loud music in the bar , so not recommended for a romantic evening , but a fun night , get drunk you can èven stay in the hotel

service was fantastic, the waiters and bar staff were outstanding........ but the food was rubbish! disgusting and flavourless. i spoke to the waiter and he immediately took it back like he new! they brought another plate but it was way to late. he ended up takeing it off the bill and gave us a complimentary drink.

Birthday meal with the wife, lovely setting which i would describe as modern. The restaurant was busy which is always a good sign. We were presented with an extensive menu that had the usual fayre. My only criticism and i think a just one, was the temperature of the starter, it was stone cold which indicates a lack of attention and had to be sent back. Regrettably we weren't the only customers to send meals back. Positively our starters came back hot and the head waiter apologised. The final bill was amended to reflect the service which we appreciated. With that in mind, I would return but would remind the chef to check the temperature of the food before serving it.

My friend and I had been meaning to go to casa for ages as we had heard really good reviews. We got there around 6:45 and decided to get a drink in the bar before sitting down to eat. At 7:40 we decided to go into the restaurant where we were seated and consequently ignored for 15 minutes before anyone came over to take an order. By this time we had decided on a second drink and food so ordered all at the same time. We both ordered cold starters so shouldn’t have taken long - it took 15 minutes for a member of staff to come over and tell us there was no mozzarella available for one of the starters so I had to choose something else. I understand the kitchen was busy however in my experience we should’ve been notified of this as a courtesy. The starters came and then took twenty minutes before they were even cleared away. We then waited at least half an hour for mains before deciding we were fed up. We tried to get the attention of several members of staff however were ignored meanwhile two other groups who had sat down after us were served their food. We left the restaurant area, again being ignored by several members of staff, deciding to go to the bar area to finish our drinks. The waiter came over after around ten minutes to ask us if we would be dining, to which I asked had he not realised we had been sat in the restaurant over an hour. We refused the mains as we had been waiting for too long and left. We were subsequently chased into the car park demanding we paid for the starters as according to the till we had only been in the restaurant for ‘56 minutes and not over an hour’ however this was due to the order not being taken for over 15 minutes after we had sat down. We refused to pay as we were told we were stupid by the waiter and that we ‘could not remember’ what time we had sat down as we had had a glass of prosecco each. We were told not to return as we would not be served- why would we return to somewhere that takes over an hour to make a bowl of pasta? Disgusted and very disappointed and will definitely never be returning.

Lunch with friends. Ordered spare ribs starter. The food was stone cold and unable to eat. Main course of salmon and prawn with a sauce. Salmon was over cooked. The sauce was tasteless and lumpy. Yuk. Sent all back. No lunch and no apology. Wont be going back

Family and friends organised my surprise party for me at Casa on Saturday. I can honestly say the staff where amazing and catered for every need ensuring that everyone was looked after. The food and service was top class. Had a fantastic evening and would definitely recommend. Thank you.

A group of 19 of us came for a meal to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. From the booking to the dessert, the service was fantastic. The food was lovely, everyone enjoyed their meals and want to go back soon. All topped off with a lovely setting. Thanks Casa for giving us a day to remember!

Visited recently for our wedding anniversary . After hearing alot of hype we was looking forward to this place . But extremely disappointed Seemed very unorganised with lots of staff just flitting about like headless chickens . The food was ok but lacked taste and my wifes duck was tough. Was very hard to catch someone's attention to get a drink . Waited quite a while to get the food to our table . But if u want to sit in the bar area and listen to young lads and lasses talking like they're from made in chelsea then you will love it ...or if u fancy some blatant drug taking in the toilet then its spot on.... wont be going again that's for sure. Can produce far better in my own kitchen. Lesson learnt

Booked a table for a family birthday party for 5.30, the restaurant was virtually empty when we got there. Three people checked us in and the third person was told we didn’t know you were here, yet they all told the same member of staff.

Went for my mum’s 60th and the end result in her words were “disaster”. I’m sure this place can do better but the service speed was very slow ( an hour wait for starters and mains respectively) and the quality of main courses was poor (this included raw salmon, dry chicken, bland duck...).

Well what a terrible experience that was 1 hour 40 Mins and only had a starter! Promised us our main course then still sat there 20 mins later Had to leave and they took the payment for the starters hence will not be visiting again!!

Venue amazing...lovely ambiance...starter and pudding delicious...ruined by flavourless bland main course...beef cut paper thin,cheap joint,unroasted roast potatoes..such a shame as if they has sealed the beef joint and seasoned it and used the juices in the gravy and salted the roasties and left them for another 10minutes could have been wonderful! Cod loin and rice main course bland too,needed sauce and green veg..such a shame. Waited 40 mins starter then another 30 mins main.

Booked this for our sons 21st birthday, after 2 family members have been previously and highly recommended this restaurant.

Went here for a friend's birthday. This was my first visit. The venue is stunning. Unfortunately service was quite slow although staff were friendly and the food was very bland. I complained about my food and it wasn't even acknowledged. Not felt well since I ate here. But would definitely visit for a drink in the future.

The staff here just couldn’t do enough to accommodate us! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. A hidden gem!

This place is lovely. We came for an impromptu lunch but I would love to come here again for any occasion. The food, decor and atmosphere is just great. 5 stars!

Visited last night as a party of 12 celebrating a birthday. It was everybody's first visit and all very impressed. The location is stunning unfortunately we didn't get the full benefit as the weather wasn't great.

This is my second visit. Friendly and attentive staff. No rush felt during our meal. The steak I had was top notch quality. The bar and outside area has a beautiful view. I find this aids giving a relaxed and enjoyable evening. Highly recommended.

I booked CASA and took a chance having never been before. I contacted them by email for a FUNERAL BUFFET MENU and had an immediate courteous response. Happy with the menu I went ahead and booked. CASA couldn't have been more helpful, kind and EVERYONE remarked on the QUALITY and PRESENTATION of the buffet. It's very reassuring to see the varied pizzas being made in front of you and the hot sausage rolls were the BEST any of us had tasted. The large variety of freshly made sandwiches were also very appetising. As much tea and coffee as required .Music of your choice if desired and nobody interfering every two minutes, but always on hand if needed.

Absolutely fantastic food n service kids meals are very good portions beautiful surroundings can’t wait to come back in summer and sit out side n enjoy view

Been here many times as it’s fairly local for us, but this time could be the last. Not much choice on the menu, ok if you like pizza or at a stretch, burger(quite expensive)but if you want steak at these prices you really can do better. Too many tables cramped in and so noisy we couldn’t hear each other speak. I feel they are sacrificing quality and the personal touch for money. If you only want a drink,nice bar and I would say if I wasn’t getting on in years looks like a good place to be. After so many years of going here I feel very let down

We had booked for Fathers Day and nearly cancelled our reservation after reading all the negative comments on TA. My daughter said let’s just try it Mum, and then make our own mind up, as today should have been a true test.

First visit with friends after being recommended? Having booked a table for 1oclock eventually got to our table30 mins later and another half hour before our order was taken. Obviously busy with three parties in and also very noisy . When our starters came didn't have any complaints but service was very poor had to ask one waiter 3tines before he brought the water we had requested! Being Sunday I had ordered the sirloin Sunday lunch and had no complaints regarding the meat however the Yorkshire pudding was cold and tasted like sawdust and vegetables took another 5 mins. To appear .same problem with coffee which took an ages to arrive despite asking 3 waiters to chase it up and the hot milk never arrived just a small jug of cold milk which was left who vanished in an instant. Not impressed and will not be returning

If you’d asked me 3 years ago, this would have been a 5 star review without question.

We've been going to the Casa for years on and off. It's been variable. But we dropped in on Sunday for lunch and had a fabulous meal. The ambience has always been good and this time the food was a really nice surprise. They do the traditional roast - but the Yorkshire puddings are definitely not Aunt Bessie's. There is, however, a good choice...with plenty of fish and a smaller veggie selection, although there are the usual suspects in the pizza range. Having said that, the pizzas also looked delicious. Certainly worth a visit - especially in better weather with ample outside seating and with bi-fold doors to the main restaurant, you can have the best of both worlds.

Visited Casa for the first time with friends! Checked out tripadvisor and was in two minds about the menu and quality therefore had some food at home... so glad I did! The food is definitely over rated! Service was not so bad albeit a little slow between servings! When mains arrived so many of us were disappointed! The quality certainly isn’t there! Pasta with sea bass tasteless, even with lots of added salt and pepper! Pizza poor quality! Having read the reviews and visiting casa I do believe the quality off food is poor and over rated... casa listen to your customers!! I won’t be returning for food! There are much better places to eat in Brighouse

Not sure what’s happened here - previously was ok. Family meal out and meals were cold, steak arrived and sides 15 minutes later. Waiter made an excuse about no availability for hot rock dishes - then saw other tables were served them! And the seafood linguine was simply a lump of pasta :-(

We visited as a big group on Friday evening. The staff were all friendly and the food was brought out in good time, not too much waiting around.

Living within 10 miles and with a free Saturday we decided to try, wish we hadn’t! Drinks ordered for the table didn’t arrive. Poor service throughout, music so loud you couldn’t converse. I think the lights are faulty as they go light and dark all the time. Like eating in a disco! Food mediocre at best. I would have told them there and then, but no one asked. In fact, the guy who took our payment unbelievably managed to do so without saying a single word. Not even thank you!

Not been to Casa for 6 years after poor food and service but when invited out for a family birthday meal decided to smile and grateful accept. Everywhere has bad days and we are always open to give anywhere a second chance. We arrived to an empty restaurant any 18:45. It was obvious they were going to get busy with the amount of balloons on other tables but figured been the only table of five adults and two children in the entire place there wouldn’t be a problem! How wrong we were! The starters arrived....wrong. My eldest daughter ordered sour dough and beetroot houmous. She did not want the houmous but loves sour dough bread so this was fine. We ordered my youngest daughters pizza to come with the starters because she ‘was starving!’. The starters came, my eldest daughters main course came out, no sour dough

Not been to Casa for a couple of years so I thought it would be good to book a table to celebrate my wifes birthday, it was very busy with two very large tables of guys on a night out. We got served reasonably quick considering, I could not see more than two chefs. Our group of six people ordered several starters, I had Chicken Liver Pate which turned up with a small piece of Pate a few lettuce leaves and a very small piece of bread, my main was Tuna with a Noodle accompaniment The Tuna was ok the rest not great the cost £19. My wife and daughter had Deep Fried Brie when it came it was golden brown but the Brie inside was cold. My wifes main was Chicken and bacon salad,(£11) it arrived with tough Chicken on a few leaves and fatty bacon this actually went back to the kitchen for tomatoes and cucumber. My daughter had a Madras style Chicken and Rice (£16) once again the Chicken was tough the flavour was that of a Korma. She could not eat it and in this case we complained and it was removed from the bill. My other daughter decided to go safe and order a Pepperoni Pizza even that was greasy not the best. We felt this special night was ruined the service was average I felt their was not enough staff to cater for the amount of people, we felt sorry for a couple who had been seated before the huge tables came in they had waited over an hour for their starters that did not arrive, they walked out, it was obvious they looked after the tables that was bringing in the most money. All in all a very poor experience we will be in no rush to go back, we even got charged for a coffee that we did not receive. I am not sure if this was a one off. But Casa You need to up your game.

Came here for my dad's birthday over the weekend and I have to say this is the second time I have came and have been disappointed by the food & the service.

Went for my husbands birthday. Great food and great service, also well priced. Atmosphere was great too and the restaurant and bar was really pretty as we're the views. Breakfast was included in the night stay which was beautiful too. The only thing that let's this place down is the room we stayed in was a bit tired, it could do with a lick of paint and possibly some new tiling in the shower room, and the room door was a bit thin.

Had Sunday lunch various meals beef and lamb the non pink beef was tough and the lamb shank wasn’t cooked enough should fall off the bone but needed a knife and fork quite tough. Lovely clean place and very good service will definitely give it another go

I asked if there was a vegetarian Sunday lunch option and was told there was.

Normally such great food and service, however found ourself amongst two enormous parties both eating, our table was neglected... courses arrived painfully slow, food was bang average and not once was we asked if we were satisfied with our dishes. Tainted a night of celebration.

Came on my birthday no free cake like normal, piri piri sauce was so small unlike the others and yet same price, cracked plate with a big chip in it. Not happy and being here many times, quite enjoyed. Won't come again.

Yesterday i had a meal in Casa. Starter arived with half frozen bread. My steak was over cooked and seafood pasta was a plate of pasta with few mussels pan fred seabass and no sauce at all. When mention that food was far below avrage no one really cared. I would not recomend it to any one.

We have been coming to eat here for years as a family , food is always consistently good , James and Engen are always front of house and really look after us , they make every visit special . Garlic and tomatoe pizza bread starters are awesome, for mains my son and I always go for the fillet steak on the Hot Rock , 10oz and delicious , the Cajun chicken breast is also very good . We are not easily pleased but will always go back here . And in summer it comes into its own .

We have just had the worst Christmas Lunch ever! At £70 a head you would expect something better. The crab cakes were discs iof crab paste in breadcrumbs. The turkey was reformed and served with watery vegetables and the gravy was absolutely tasteless. The deserts were just as bad. I tasted three different ones and none of them were edible. This is the third time we have booked for Christmas Day but will not be returning! Ruined our day!

Nicely set out room, lovely staff, good atmosphere band on. But food was absolutely shocking..soggy overcooked veg brown cauli, blughhh!! Saw the advert for xmas dinner, 70 adults 30 kids and 15 toddlers...No thanks !! Wouldnt go again.

This place is a hidden gem. It has a lovely atmosphere, a fabulous view and friendly staff. The food is really good (when it eventually gets to you). The outside area is pleasant and there is a bar menu if you want to eat outside.

I used the online booking system which worked great. My first time time visiting today, I took my girlfriend for our anniversary breakfast, and we were very impressed with the view, the welcome we received and the quality of the food. Our server said they had ran out of beans due to a wedding the night before, however he more than made up for it with extra items included.

Beautiful location with lovely staff. Lunchtime menu is good value and well presented, will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely love this place, always get such a warm welcome, the staff are nothing but attentive and the food is always a generous portion and excellent quality, not just that you get to sit with a beautiful view. :)

Been here for many family occasions and it has to be one of my favourite restaurants I’ve ever been too. The food is always excellent and the staff are pleasant and helpful. James the manager goes above and beyond customer service knowing customers and treating them like friends. Remembering guests knowing that it was our birthday and presenting the guests who’s birthday it was with birthday cake. Was a great experience. Would 10/10 recommend

Great on a summers day sat out back but neither me and my partner were impressed with the food. We would defiantly give it a big thumbs up for an afternoon out in the sun or relaxing evening.

Visited with a party of 30 for a work night out food was great all round great service and atmosphere was fantastic

Been coming to Casa for at least 7 years. Always great food and friendly service. Very accommodating even for our (very) fussy friends! Hot rock fillet steaks definitely the best thing on the menu.

Really don't know what people see in the place it's so not nice the food is over rated and not nice drinks over priced

Nice place to eat,really friendly,nice menu, as a guide if it’s busy it’s usually pretty good and it’s busy especially on a nice sunny day as at the back it’s massive and all decked out over looking a really big lake lovely and lovely views. Good place to be for all ages

Very disappointing, poor service and not the best food! The outside area was dirty and unclean , a very disappointing night out after been recommended as a good place to go to eat!

Have only ever been to the venue for weddings. Visited for lunch. It was busier than expected, with most people opting to sit outside. We sat in the indoor restaurant. The seats are quite shabby and the service was slow. The lunch menu is limited but the steak was cooked perfectly. The barman was welcoming and friendly.

It’s been a good few years since I was here , but got invited to a friends 60 th we all sat outside it is really beautiful surrounding and relaxing looking out over the lake, the food that was ordered arrived quickly and was presented well would certainly recommend to otherwise

Just visiting Casa, one of many visits including some stays, and the place is improving all the time. The suns out and alls well with the world, except............ Don’t like bar staff who ignore my granddaughters waiting to be served. When I complained (nicely), he then proceeded to ignore me, preferring to chat with a mate then served people who had just come in, despite looking at me standing there twice. There were only 4 people at the bar at the time!

The second time here, after a really enjoyable and satisfying first visit a month or so earlier. Different season different weather but same rewarding result.

Having been for a lovely breakfast a few weeks ago my mum decided to treat the family to Sunday brunch. Mum phoned yesterday to confirm the times and was informed they started at 9.00 and she didn’t need to book. When we turned up at 9.00 this morning we were greeted be the cleaners who were still cleaning up from last night. They were really helpful and when we asked if breakfast was being served they went to find someone and informed us the chef was still in bed but was getting up now. A few minutes later a young girl came and informed us they didn’t start breakfast until 9.30 so we pointed out the poster on the wall which clearly said 9.00 ‍♀️ so she directed us to the restaurant and we took a seat. A few minutes later the waiter turned up and after telling Mum not to interrupt him informed us the brunch chef and the food had not arrived yet. He suggested that we might want to wait until the hotel guests had been served and we could see what’s left. Shocking shocking service.

I love this place! Such a buzz, a great atmosphere and the location is beautiful. Food is very good. It's a sophisticated place, trendy. Just a great place to go.

Second visit to Casa after it being recommended to us. I cannot fault the food it was delicious. The view is also fabulous. What I didn't like was the snail pace service, I didn't mind waiting for the actual food, but as lots of other people have said nobody even bothered to ask if we wanted dessert so we didn't bother! It also took ages to get a member of staff just for the bill.

My daughter held her wedding here on the 21st April. The 12 months before the wedding the wedding planners Chantelle and Antonia could not do enough. Nothing was to much trouble.On the day itself both wedding planners were there and one of them was there pretty much there from start to finish. The venue looked amazing the meal was lovely, the day went effortlessly and was one of the most relaxed and enjoyable weddings I have been to. The bar prices were very reasonable similar to a wine bar. We stopped over night and once again at breakfast nothing was to much trouble. A big thank you to the wedding planners and Casa staff for making it an amazing day.

ask for a window seat on booking so you can admire the water side view its absolutely gorgeous .thayv got open front when its warm.like been abroad...eaten there twice now and hasnt disappointed the portions are plenty the food. good quality ,the starters are large...

I mean wow! We got married at casa on the 14th April and really couldn’t of asked for better. From the very first meeting to after the wedding everything was perfect. A special mention to Antonia if it wasn’t for her we really don’t think...
