Marks Fry-Days in Calderdale

Best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten these were so good I’m now having fish and chips every Friday they weren’t saturated in filthy grease like other chippys cooked to perfection. I didn’t take a picture because they were so good I couldn’t put my fork down to take one I’ll take a picture next week!

The owner gave my Brother his 1st job, he is 15 and was really excited about earning some extra money. After 6 hours work at a promised £4/hr he gave my brother £5 and said good bye. This is disgusting and illegal and the owner should be expecting my visit in the very near future for the rest of the money.

I don't like fish, like a lot of people. However the other food they have on offer is outstanding to say the least. Would Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I used to use this fish and chip shop regular. But since the new owner took over its gone down hill a bit. Plenty of chips but the fish is smaller,this is not how to keep custom. I still go every now and then but it’s only average, having said that it’s clean very friendly and still seems to keep some customers. It’s worth a visit once a month to save a trail to Blakey’s(brighouse)

This is a very nice fish and chip shop and love the food here because it’s so quick and easy to get because the staff get it done

not good. greasy hastily cooked fish. bad taste. bad batter. service also was slow. not busy but no food ready.

Friendly Staff, Good Value and most of all delicious fish and chips every time!!! Would definitely recommend!

I've never been dissatisfied with the food, the staff are lovely and friendly and the fish are usually cooked to order so are really fresh.

Popped in for a quick butty as I had no time to make tea. Ate in the car and it was the most delicious chip butty I have had in ages Well done mark and co. I will be back

Best fish and chips in Brighouse , or as we call them , whale and chips, as the portions are huge.Mushy peas and Thai Green curry sauce are also on the menu. One scrumptious meal.

Lovely crispy tasty fish, tons of chips and my daughter loves his chicken filet butties always enjoy and always leave with a smile on our faces.. Well done Mark and Staff..

Great fish and chips - always hot and generous portions. Fish nice and fresh. Great atmosphere. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

i visited towards the end of 2015 in early december if i remember correctly, safe to say i have not been back. fish were overcooked and chips were hard in the middle. i like to try all places in the area to see if im missing anything, safe to say your not.

After previous bad experiences from other local take aways I thought, try somewhere new. I mentioned this place to my mum and she highly recommended them. As soon as I went in I was greeted by some extremely friendly members of staff and I was even given a free sample of the new Irish curry sauce they do which is absolutely amazing. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is brilliant. Two things the place lacks (may I add due to no fault of their own) 1. No delivery options though for me this isn't a problem as I drive but fir others it could potentially be an issue and 2. If marks fry days had a larger building, there could potentially be a sit in restaurant too. I highly recommend the food here and will definitely be returning in the near future.

Mark and his staff serve brilliant fish and chips, massive portions and if you are lucky you get serenaded. Crispy batter and lush chips, going again tomorrow xx
