Not worth at all. Don't waste your money

The culinary offerings are remarkable, and the ambiance enhances the overall enjoyment of the meal. However, when opting for delivery, certain discrepancies arise. The portion sizes tend to be modest, although the quality of the food remains commendable. Additionally, I encountered an instance where a can of Coca-Cola, priced at £2.00, was substituted with a generic brand commonly found in local stores for a mere 50p. Considering these factors, I would strongly recommend visiting the establishment in person rather than relying on delivery services.

Organised a wedding reception at Babar Khan. The food was amazing and the team could not do enough for us. Would highly recommend the restaurant for dining and events. It is a lovely location at Dean Clough Mills and provides authentic food and a warm family welcome.

Junior Babar was a very friendly host who made us most welcome and took his time to explain the tawa to us. The food arrived and was excellent! Extremely tasty and plenty of it. Excellent service, excellent food. A top find!

Nice staff, but not the best of food to hot and spicy over priced

Ordered a tava for two, as the photo it looked very tasty however the meat and fish were of a low grade…only identifiable once in your mouth due to the masala coating. The accompanying sauces were sparse and watery On the plus side you can bring your own beers and masala was tasty

Went for our wedding anniversary, had the buffet, all good food, good service and friendly staff

Please avoid. Very rude staff. Food undercooked. At one point it was as though they totally forgot about us that we were there. Very slow service. Please save yourself time and money

Awful nasty jealous narcissist woman with no customer service skills tried to snatch 2 small slices of pizza out of my 2 year old daughters hands even after we offered to pay for it. NEVER GO HERE. NOT child or white people friendly. Racist horrible woman.

A disappointing night, guests arguing with staff, threats from the chef to close, music turned off and a lack of food (buffet). We should have asked for a reduction on the bill , it wasn't offered. Won't be going back in a hurry 🙃

On entering, greeted by a waiter who barely understood basic English. Sat down and the waiter came over with a pen and paper straight away before I’ve even opened the menu. Was told that it’s only buffet tonight because there was a party on but they do Ala carte every night aswell. I ordered a curry and was told that I need to get a naan bread with it, I replied I didn’t want a naan bread and the waiter said a further 2 times that I need one, thought this was quite rude- telling me what I need to order(wasn’t a suggestion). Food tasted good but wasn’t even hot, was rushed- seemed like it came from the buffet. Took only 10 minutes to receive 2 full meals.

A nice place for an Indian/Pakistani food. We didn't go for the buffet as our friends visited before and didn't like buffet. We ordered starters and lamb karahi, and it was decent food and service. We will definitely go again if we're in the area again.

Reading some of the previous reviews I noted some that didn’t feel to sit right in my opinion. The vast majority of reviews are positive yet there were some odd ones out there that were very harsh. I dined there this evening and my overall impression was positive. I was greeted by a young man, very pleasant and polite. I ordered my food which was onion bhaji and then for my main a lamb bhuna, pilau rice and chapati. All were excellent and made fresh. The restaurant was very quiet, clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend and would also return

Disappointing We tried to order by phoning the restaurant but were told we had to use Uber Eats. We were unable to find Poppadoms or Chipatties on the Uber site which we all wanted. The food arrived in the time frame given but was all only luke warm. All the main dishes were very tasty but all the sides were disappointing - brown Pilau Rice - ???? Wouldn't use again.

Okay so the lady who served us had no customer service skills, she kept interrupting and every 2 minutes kept saying can you make space can you make space when clearly the other waiter had made space, she then gave us water and took away the glasses and did not return with any glasses… once the tava had been served we realised she had taken away the cutlery and she wanted us to eat out of our starter plates… once again did not give us fresh clean plates. When we asked about dessert cakes she said look at the menu, not happy with the service at all, when the guy at the pay in desk asked how it was and I explained he said it was just protocol that she was following…. Horrendous service will not be ordering or going there again… AVOID…

Excellent food and service value for money

We went as a party of 37 people and the service and food was 5*. Fresh and hot food was served with no issue what so ever. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially the buffet to all.

Quiet night. Very strange service. We had to ask repeatedly for menus. Waited quite a while for food, but it was great food.

Please think before going here. We were only allowed buffet which on the whole was awful. The trays were not replenished and felt like Oliver Twist asking for more. The food quality was very poor They even wanted to charge a lot extra for taking our own soft drink. Very arrogant head waiter

We had a buffet dinner. A good variety of dishes is available at this restaurant. The staff is friendly and cooperative. A high price is charged for children. Which I think needs to be amended.

Buffet only, no menu available as the chefs felt they were too busy. For an Indian restaurant the vegetarian choices were limited to onion bhaji, vegetable curry, vegetable spring rolls or margarita pizza and chips. The veg curry was cold, the rice was empty. The bhaji whilst nice were surely shop bought. Expensive for a vegetarian option

Had the buffet . . . Food was really nice. The staff went above and beyond and were very welcoming. Highly recommended, good value for money

Was looking for a tawa place in Halifax and came across this little gem. Decided on the buffet instead as they did both. Lovely food and well worth the price. Lots of choice for starters and the currys were spot on. It's a big place on the inside with great ambience. We were well looked after by the staff and the lovely Mrs Baber Khan.

Soggy poppadoms, rude staff, grey chicken, slow service, manager claimed he'd been there a day and was new, staff said he had been there years, portions small, prices high, manager rude. Good job it wasn'tbusy....best thing about it was door out of there. Chicken tikka was 👍

Not a good first impression. Had most of the buffet dinner empty and not much of choice. What ever food is available, that tasted really good. Service is not as good as expected. Overall, I'm not happy and will not be visiting again.

Good buffet styled restaurant with excellent ambience, no loud music (thankfully) and decent food. I had limited options as a vegetarian but my meat loving friends enjoyed it more. The seating is comfortable and price is affordable. Also enjoyed their Asian desserts, but they also have icecream option.

Went with a large party and had the buffet special which consisted of mains starters and sundries together. Really enjoyed the food the waiter was great. It's got no license so you can bring your own, will visit again

This place is great for night out, do not listen to negative comments I absolutely loved this place and food, my hubby is a chef and is very hard to please food wise but not one complaint.

Never changes always a lovely evening and great food

Overall experience very poor. Looked like only one person was waiter. Popadums given but no side plates, not cutlery. Mains came out disjointed. Some had rice and no curry, some had curry but no nan/rice. No plates, cutlery, we had to get our own. Poor, poor service. It wasn’t even busy!! Only thing was when food came out it was tasty.

Thought we'd try it. Wasn't impressed, service was great but went for the A la carte menu but said only buffet was available. I hate buffets. Turned out to be pretty bad. Food was dry and nothing to shout about. Can be better.

We went as a family of 5, the place looked nice but the buffet food was terrible honestly the Chicken Wings weren't fresh & they were cold, no spice in the currys... very limited choice of food & dessert. We spent over £100 so it's £17 for each person without drinks... we wouldn't come here again...

Booked a table for 4pm for a birthday meal, arrived to be told we had to wait 20mins for buffet, even though we had booked the normal Al la carte menu... to be told that was an even longer wait bearing in mind I booked this table Tuesday.evening. the 15year old serving didn't have a clue of the bookings or surroundings

I visited this establishment earlier today and could not wait to write this review. I haven't before been to a restaurant that cared so much about their customers, all the staff went above and beyond for us and even offered to entertain my children while we ate! Lovely food, lovely ambience and as mentioned before AMAZING customer service! We shall most definitely be returning soon!

Place needs shutting down! After waiting an hour and half for our order and the restaurants number not being in service I used the number connected to Facebook and got an extremely rude and unhelpful staff member who said our food had been sat in a bag waiting for a driver for 45 minutes and that said driver arrived while I was speaking to him. 30 minutes later I called back as still no food arrived. He ignored any other attempt to connect and our food never arrived

It speaks volumes when your sugar addicted 9 year old grandaughter can’t eat her supper because her food (chicken korma) is too sweet!!! Simply the worse takeaway curry we’ve ever eaten.

After a visit to the buffet last week 6 kids in tow, age 2 to 16, me n hubby popped in for the tawa lunch this aft.. Absolutely deliciously fresh, authentic cuisine and something for all!! Keep it up Babar Khan’s, the best in Halifax!!

We were somewhat sceptical when it came to ordering from Babar Khan's, as we usually get Indian food from Bradford. We decided to try Babar Khan's and see how it was. We also could only get a takeaway as due to coronavirus, the restaurant was...

We were going to have a sit down but decided on a take out the wait was too long. The food came quickly, it was well wrapped hot and delicious.

We had a fantastic platter of food for £9.99 each including lamb chops, fish pakora, seekh kebab, chicken wings, chicken tikka, chips, roti naan, pilau rice, chicken korma and meat curry. All served on a beautiful bed of onions. Everything was hot, tasty and plentiful....

Had our xmas dinner here was lovely food and great service was made really welcome will definitely be returning soon.

Babar Khan was one of the few places open on Boxing Day and while I was relieved to find an open restaurant, I was even more delighted with the quality of the buffet. I tasted 3 different chicken dishes and the most flavorful was the kebab. It seemed more like a sausage because of the herbs and spices blended with the breast meat. Each of the vegetable dishes was delicious (as were the desserts).Mr Khan, chef/owner, and his son, Babar Jr, were delightful and accommodating. I highly recommend Babar Khan restaurant!

I've been past this place before when there was a really posh wedding going on so thought it was out of my league. However went tonight with 7 friends, friendly staff, clean, BYOB and I think we were only charged £1 each for corkage, Really good selection of food, both mild and spicier dishes, all fresh as were the sides, salads and sauces, and excellent desserts too. Wish I'd taken a picture but was too busy having eating!! Great value for money.

what a stylish Asian restaurant, byo drinks, excellent buffet, food regularly replenished and hot, good quality and price, if any issue, a couple of friends wanted to eat of the main menu which was not available, right next to the theatre, free parking, 4.8 stars.....

Family took some guests from abroad for a meal. Table was pre-booked for 6 people. Arrived at restaurant and no other customers were present. We decided to go for a buffet which was £11.99 per person. We were advised buffet was ready. Only small starter portions available and quickly finished with some guests not getting some options. Some food only lukewarm and some appeared / tasted old. Had to go on to main course as starters not ready and half way was told starters were available. Complaint was made but met ‘thanks’ with arrogance. Very poor service and would not recommended to anyone. Won’t be going back. Better service/quality/options available at Lanika’s in Halifax.

Had a lovely buffet dinner with my family. The food was fresh and tasty and definitely authentic. Perhaps a few more Indian desserts in the buffet would be nice, as well as main dishes as there were only 2 mains available when we went. Also, although I'm sure they didn't mean to, it seemed as though some of the staff kept staring at us as we ate... Which was a tiny bit uncomfortable. Other than that, we would return.

Ordered a pizza last week and a few hours after eating I was throwing my guts up thought maybe it’s just a bug ordered again tonight after waiting an hour and a half for it to be delivered after been told 45 mins it’s arrived finally started to eat and thought there was a funny taste and to my shock there is mould all over the base of my pizza I have rang and he didn’t understand a word I was saying and when he finally did he tried to tell me it was green peppers then said he can’t do anything now as he’s nothing left what a joke will never eat here again yak

This is our 3rd visit to Babar Khan in Halifax and it never fails to impress. It was a leaving do so we needed somewhere that we knew all would be good. Staff, food, prices - all excellent

Went for an early dinner expecting the buffet however because it is Ramadan this was not available at the time we went. This was not a problem however as the waiter (the owner's son I believe) offered us a platter at £9.99 per person. This included fish pakora, lamb chops, chicken tikka, shish kebab, salad, choice of 2 curries, rice, chips and naan and was served on a huge hot plate. Everything was well cooked and very tasty. Also had the mango lassi which was delicious. Waiter very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit!

We came here as a party of 10 for the evening buffet, before going next door to see a play at the Viaduct Theatre. The service was brilliant; really friendly and helpful, and the food was great, which isn't always the case with a buffet. All the dishes were hot and fresh, and frequently topped up. A wide range of starters, main meals (plus naan) along with puddings. A bargain for only £11.99!We were also able to bring our own wine, which made it even better value. We will definitely be back!

We have just had a lovely meal at baber khans in Halifax. The buffet was delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff made my birthday treat extra special, and with a price of £11.99 each for all we could eat, it was probably the best buffet restaurant I have been to. We definitely recommend trying it, we will certainly be be going back when we are next visiting the area.

Visited this evening for a family meal having not been since an underwhelming experience shortly after it opened. Lots of changes! Far more variety on offer: better quality food and helpful, friendly staff. Food was freshly cooked and topped up regularly and choice of puddings was great too. Add to that a delicious jug of mango lassi and you end up with a very satisfying meal at a very reasonable price.

We went for the first time for my dad's birthday,the owner and his son were so nice to us. They made my dad's birthday special by giving us a complimentary fudge cake and ice cream. The tawa was amazing lovely fresh, hot ,delicious food. Really filling we even get to pack our leftover!!! We had pink tea really generous portions sizes as it came in a teapot so got around 1.5cups each. Mum's desi tea was lovely too. Will definitely be back can't wait!

the service is always great and the staff are very friendly and welcoming, their is a variety of choice and the curry's are very nice along with the starters. Always come here one of my favourite restaurants.

We’ve just discovered this restaurant. We had a great take away last night and went there for a meal (buffet) tonight and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Great veggie options on offer.
