Best place to eat in Kidderminster. I come for business trip every few months and have visited at least 10 times. Every single visit has been amazing. Food is consistently brilliant, full of flavour and always hot. The staff are great and always happy to help. I look forward to every trip to Kidderminster for this place. Highly recommend!!

Facing the Village Green, this pub is a great all-rounder - I only wish there were more pubs like this. It's very much a traditional pub, with a cracking atmosphere. There are three separate rooms: the main bar area, which is very traditional, a cosy room to the side with a real log-burning stove and a third room to the rear which functions primarily as a restaurant. The 'Norman Knight', in his suit of armour, guards over the door as you enter. There are a few other interesting features around the bar, such as a motorcycle hanging from the wall and a kid's tricycle, which all add to the individual character of the place. On the bar you will find a great range of ales, with about half-a-dozen handpumps featuring beers mostly from smaller local breweries - the Norman Knight house beer, brewed by Goff's is very good. The excellent, well prepared, home cooked food, from a varying menu, has a good selection of dishes on offer, including pub staples such as Fish & Chips and burgers alongside some more interesting dishes. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices aren't exactly cheap but a reasonable, given the quality of the food. They also host occasional live music. Jam aficionados may be interested to know there is a stall selling homemade jams and preserves, with an honesty box, a short walk along from the pub.

Another great stay at the Kilpeck Inn for our biannual assault on the coarse fish stocks of the nearby River Wye. We had three rooms for three nights, all of which were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the two evening meals were superb. The cooked breakfast was delicious with all local ingredients. We have been before and will be back. It's far and away the best place we've found to stay south of Hereford. Be warned the restaurant and bar is closed on Monday - We used it as a great excuse to visit the Beefy Boys in Hereford.

Booked a 18th Birthday meal for 16 paid a deposit. Organised over the phone what tables we could have, I requested a 6 and a 10 as there were 6 younger people and 10 adults. So thought that would work! To be told on arrival that they were not able to do that it had to be a 12 and a 4 also told they had spoken to me over the phone when I had a call to confirm my booking. Never was I told. Totally ruined the meal. Also the 6 table I requested was not used for the whole night anyway very disappointed avoid large bookings.

Nice atmosphere and good service. All the food was nice and tasty, however some dishes were definitely more stand out than others. Unfortunately the cocktails on the other hand were very disappointing, watery, weak and little flavour. If I am paying £10+ for a drink I expect it to match the quality of the food.
