Was very nice! Chips was spot on with all the extras I also ordered for the family! Honestly couldn't fault this place! So nice to find a decent place to eat from.

Got a large fish and chips tonight See more fish on a fish finger, was a thin piece of fish, not normal

Please do something about your portion sizes what’s happened is the staff all new or something because you hardly get any chips in your portions been coming years so not use to this

Absolutely disgusting the way I was treated today when I walked in to pick my order up been going to Edward Street Fish Bar for years . Been that long they no my order but apparently the new manager that’s there started on me stating that I had bad mouth the chippy since he’s been there. To which I didn’t I said to one member of staff which obviously added a bit more to him that’s it’s not the same and it don’t seem that busy when I go in like it does when Helen and costa is working. That’s not bad mouthing at all I did stand up for myself how dare he I wouldn’t do that Edward st always been the best chippy around here. And like I said to him your staff agreed that it is quite I told him it be my last order that I will ever have of him to be told he didn’t care you come or go so great customer service from him. And then say to me why am I getting high rated of course I am begin accused of something I haven't done. Then her turns around and called me a stuck up snob me a stuck up snob I am so down to earth . Thank you Diane for saying I am down to earth to that boss of yours you shall be missed hun you are the best one in that shop someone needs to go on a customer service course. So glad he can afford to loose customers 20/08/2024 Please note this isn't Helen and costas this is the new manager that runs the shop now

I love Diane she's amazing and their fish and chips are better than mother hubbards.

DIANE on till is amazing, she goes above and beyond to create a warm & welcoming experience. This same lady seems to be the only staff member on shift and completes all roles, every day. she is so good at her job & always puts a smile on my face. Improvements that should be made; - more staff (to reduce stress in the workplace) That’s all, anyways thankyou for a lovely meal.

I got cod bites and chips here, which were YUM! Generous portion sizes and not only that, the best customer service. Super friendly staff, I am definitely coming back again!!!

Ordered two large fish,chips and curry through Uber Eats. The food came quick, piping hot and tasted so fresh and absolutely delicious and was presented so well. If you want proper traditional tasting fish and chips then this is your place to go. 11/10

Had for my lunch today the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in burton so happy. Fish was nice and thick and well cooked, batter wasn’t too thick and the chips were fine. Felt I should review, will be back that’s for sure though I have been here previously and not reviewed so can’t have been that memorable so maybe this place is up and down, dont know but will try again when I’m next passing and hungry. Decent portion too for the price, had a mini fish and chips meal deal think it was £5.50. Can’t go wrong.

Never been disappointed, consistent service run by the owners, portions are generous and great value for money, never changed to another fish and chips place since we moved to burton, they also cater for halal diets, which shows they go over and beyond.

Went in for a fish and chips. Asked for a small chips with a Large Haddock to be cooked extra well done .The staff made a fresh Haddock and it was one of the best fish I've had in years. The small portion of chips were lovely and generous portion size. Great helpful staff Highly recommended

This is my favourite chippy in Burton. It’s very very nice. It’s always busy (a good sign), the staff are friendly and the prices are fair. You can also pay on card.

I purchased fish and chips here for the first time and I can say after eating that delicious purchase, this is just the first of many future purchases. Everything was a Banga, I absolutely love it. The packaging too is so nice and neat, food smells great, fish is fresh and crispy, super hot and moist inside. My review doesn't do justice, just buy for yourself and thank me later 😀 . I'll be back soonest for more. Lest I forget the portions are tagged small but they are actually too generous to be called small 😂

It was closing time but she still took the order and prepared it although they didn't have any cooked fish. They stayed overtime to get the order done and that says something. Food was excellent and fresh... freshly made, i might add. The even better part is that all their packaging is paper. A big thumbs up to Edward Street Fish Bar for looking out for our environment! Best chips ever. Chicken kebabs are a lot like greek chicken gyros. Love it. Very cheap as well.

Very friendly staff in a well run shop

Really friendly staff and attention to detail. I was really hungry and made a big order here for the family. They have a one way ordering system where they call you in when it is safe to do so. I also ordered some classic pineapple slices fried in battery which were freshly made like the fish. The chips were piping hot when I opened then at home and we all were stuffed and happy. A brilliant place for a Friday night treat. 5/5

This is the best place for fish and chips in Burton. The portions are huge and everything is freshly cooked. The family who run it have owned it for years and are so lovely. I’ve been coming back here for 30 years!!

Staff are helpful. They advise you what to have if you want to try something knew. They do different types of meat instead of the basic donnor and chicken. Will defiantly be going back here. Fantastic chippy

Been here a number of times. The fish and chips are lovely. Batter on the fish is light and crisp. Chips are cooked to perfection. Portions are large. I would recommend this fish bar.

Although I am not a big fan of 'fish and chips' but I try it in almost any new place I go. This bar serves one of the better tasting if not the best fish 'n chips( in my limited exposure). It is tasty as well as reasonably priced. Staff are welcoming. And to let everyone know, it's a take only away shop. Hope u enjoy.
