McDonald's in East Staffordshire

Food was nice as expected from a brand. Its a pity the service let me down today. I'd just come back from holiday so decided to go to mcdonalds as it was late and meant we didn't have to cook or shop. Ordered through the app and the click and serve was closed so we went to give the code at the drive thru. We was told the drive was closed and that if we wanted to order then we would have to go In store. If the drive thru was closed, hiw hard would it be to cone this off so no one could use it? Any way proceeded to go Into the restaurant. It was not very clean dirty tables amd the toilets were also dirty too. Anyway ordered our meals through the kisok and patiently waited for our meals. Our ordered was shouted out and the meal was just left on the counter for us to take. No checking from staff that we took the order. The atmosphere was really not good. It seemed quite rowdy in the store. I didn't see any security. Anyway we was glad we had our meal to go and not to stay amd dine in. This was just our experience todsy at the time we visited. We can't comment on what it was like prior.

Food took too long and was cold

The way you wrap burgers is so consistently disrespectful. Always receive burgers in this awful state.

Have ordered food from here 3 times and each time there has been something wrong with the order. Either food missing or getting the wrong food.

Why is there no ice cream so often.

I ordered large meal deals, vrap with salad, and I received mini salad, but I paid for large meals 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Also I didn't receive forks and stroke. Before the entrance was 6/7 yang boys 13-17, which was really noisy. They smoke cigarette and all smell you can feel in a restaurant. Also, my wife says she doesn't feel safe here after one lads coming inside and start be noise. Strange situation so if you would like visiting this restaurant at 22 in Saturday don't do this is too dangerous for you and your car as this boys walking around car and looking something.

Usual Mcdonald ok if your stuck for something but generally not great, once again no McFlurrys those machines must some of the most unreliable ever manufactured

When we went the place was very quite yet it still took 20 minutes for our food to arrive and then it was not warm and the burger was dry. Staff did not seem to care.

One of the worst for delivery drivers. I wait here for every order at least 20 minutes and employers are unprofessional and rude most of the time.

Orderd £34 worth of food from drive through was missing a happy meal got it sorted after going in they should check order's better

It's called a drive through, not a drive through and go in for what they have forgot! Shocking service.

The drive-through was very slow, for no apparent reason. The staff seemed put out that I didn't use the app. There were no milkshakes available, and when I opened my food, I found that the fries were cold. Wish I hadn't bothered.

My favourite McDonalds and I've visited a good many. Always clean, welcoming and with friendly, helpful staff.

If the food gets cold you can't eat it anymore, it taste like rubber and some plastic with no taste at all. And delivery orders are a nightmare for drivers, very long wait and rude and unprofessional employee .

We went for a meal for the whole family using drive through. My wrap was shreaded across the whole lenght, my fries were missing. There was no queue so there was enough time to prepare food appropriately. I paid seperately for 4 ketchup sauces which I needed to go and get as they were not added to the order. Bare in mind there were no other cars behind me. Because I already went to get sauces from the drive through window, I did not want to go back to the window again to ask for the fries and change the wrap. I was very tired. In all, I was a little disappointed. I have been to many places and in many instances it has been very busy but the service and quality of food was much better. Update, visit 18.02.2024 Our ice creams were given by a member of staff to her friends with saying "there been paid for", "don't say I never give you freebies" which delayed us another 20 minutes. The other staff member said, "o, she gave it to that table as it accepted it", no, they did not they asked questions and were puzzled. We had a table service and were sitting waiting at the right table. Really do not know how a so called "mistake" could have been done. Again, negative experience, unfortunately.

As I was waiting to receive my order I saw a member of staff drop a burger on the floor. He picked it up and still put it onto someone's order, DISGUSTING HYGIENE never go to a McDonald's again. I mentioned it to a member of staff, wonder if anything has been done about it ???

Good hot food, friendly service

I don't visit McD very often, over 6 months since I went to my previous restaurant but 10 minutes to sit in the drive through to get just a bacon roll meal at 8am. Just 2 small pieces of bacon. Even the hash browns seem thinner than they used to be. Also, now over £5 for that, not quick, not cheap. Tim Hortons for me.

Always seem to wait far too long here. Floor staff aren't the most efficient and tables aren't cleared often enough. The management team don't appear to have any people skills (shouting and generally being rude to their staff)

Always surprises me how they always get away with short changing you with the fries! Especially when ordering for delivery!

Service is quick. But they are abit rubbish when it comes to any extra simple instructions. You ask for no cheese u get cheese. Or u ask for no cheese on one burger and all the burgers come either no cheese

Absolutely terrible. Order a Big Mac meal and only got half the chips tipped in the bag. They never gave my money or my meal back. Absolutely ridiculous come at your own risk. Now I’m suffering from hunger. 😡

Just ordered food to be delivered stuff missing from the order rang up to mention this and basically got told nothing can be done. The lady on the phone was very rude with no manners shocking customer service. From your Burton on Trent Derby Road restaurant

fries half full stop being tight load em up edit 1 week later... fries still half full and they are incapable of counting to 20 chicken nuggets there was 18 this time and 19 the time before.... useless

Called for lunch, ordered on app, delivered to bay selected. Ordered 3x large meals didn't realise till we got home they had forgotten to put fries in bag.

The staff it's not friendly and they have a very '' bad''behaviour really 🙄

Excellent customer service and breakfast was hot and excellent value.

I wish all McDonald's were this quick. 2 nights ago in Derby it too me 27mins to get just s black coffee in the drive through but then again its regular in the Derby branches, this place was 3 mins maybe Derby should give them a call and ask for help

Absolutely useless. Tried ordering food twice from this store and both times order arrives in a sealed bag with missing food. Store then completely abdocates all responsibility for missing items. Not their problem ever. You order on the McDonald's app you pay McDonald's but you have then sit on hold for ages just to get a refund for missing items from uber eats.

Food was really dry, ordered and collected, but wasn't as good as should be unfortunately.

Had parts missing off the order from drive through and the drinks tasted very very weak like the syrup needed refilling. Staff were nice though.

Had order placed through just eat, took them nearly 2 hours to send the food out to then have more than half the order missing. When we rang them the useless uneducated ‘ manager ‘ tried to blame just eat but the man gave everything he had in his bag so again they just can’t admit when they can’t complete an order. Avoid this McDonald’s at all costs. Staff blatantly can’t do there jobs properly.

Terrible service. Food was cold. Staff made me wait for 10 15 mins in the driver through whilst laughing and joking and generally pratting about. Oh and they got our order wrong. Thanks

Ordered a large quarter pounder meal and two cheeseburgers, got asked to wait while they cooked it around 10 minutes sitting there to get a bag full of cold food. No refund got stared at like a loads of mong when returned don't eat there

Ordered a quarter with cheese 2 x cheeseburgers and fries. (Drive through) They first gave me a milk shake, said that ain’t mine. asked me what my order was and told them came back with order minus cheeseburger and fries… buffoons the lot of them…

Same as every other McDonald's up and down the country. The chips (or should I say fries to embrace the American culture) were actually hot, which was a welcome change from the normal lukewarm experience.

Check ur bag before u drive off... left this in 2018. just thought id update. done me over yet again always seems to be this branch.. drove off as it was busy found i was missing 2 packs of fries went back then upon getting home found was also short on a philly cheese stack... to say the least there w@%k at getting food in a bag.. they counldnt get it right if a gun was held to there heads. now. lets just say its a good job there flipping burgers and not putting engines together at rolls royce. complete planks

It's McDonald's and a pretty good one, but it's notoriously cold (once the weather gets chilly) so bring your coat if you're going to sit inside to eat.

We visited after a day out at around 11pm on Saturday 7th of October. The bins were overloaded, there was food all over the floor and tables. It was not busy so there is no excuse. My Cheese burger was like cardboard and cold and my fillet of fish had no sauce on it? My wife's bigmac was also only just warm and looked like it had been shaken up in the box? If there was a supervisor on that night, I have no idea what they were actually doing?

Last 2 orders have had things missing, I know most of the workers are young buy they're clearly employing people who can't read or just don't care??.?. Shocking...

Ordered 1 McSpicy Burger and the same as a meal. So at the collection window, staff Inside was swearing. Food: burger is poor, a very small chicken fillet that doesn't even fit the bun! And half of my partners chips were missing. Better off getting a happy meal, even our local takeaway does better chicken burgers than this. Couldn't believe it cost 6 quid each either. Will not return

At the drive-thru, they often get part of the order wrong. On three separate occasions, I've received the wrong mains (nuggets instead of burger), wrong flavour milkshake (ordered 2x strawberry, one was banana) and part of order missing. Be sure to check your stuff before leaving!

I think we all know what to expect of McDonald's in terms of food by now. Everything was prepared nicely. Served in a timely manner, tables were clean. So why only 3 stars. McDonald's job is to be cheap and accessible. I can get a meal for two at my local Indian or Chinese for what I paid on this visit and frankly I'd prefer those.

Abysmal service... As far as I can tell the drive through and online orders are prioritised over those of the people eating in. 20 mins to get a sausage and egg mc muffin meal... Fast food... Really...☹️

This was the busiest McDonald's I've ever been to, the car pack was litterly double parked all the way round and as one person went another moved into its spot, we went through the drive through thinking this would be a quicker way. We were served by a guy who was so patient as i had the grandchildren with me who couldn't decide what to have but he didn't once get frustrated at all, we paid and were asked to park up while the food was made, there was no where at all to park so we just sat and waited with everyone else moving as they did. There were 3 young staff running back and forth with orders to cars, and it didn't take too long for our food to come at all. The food was hot and freshly made, and our order was correct. To say how busy it was, the staff were all running it like clockwork, I didn't see anyone getting annoid at waiting too long, and no one seemed to be there for a while. Well done to all the staff, it was a bank holiday on Monday about 11ish when we got there and we had a great meal thanks.

It what it is , it's Mcdonolds , easy on the Go food when you just haven't the time to cook

We usually go for a latte after walking our dogs. The past few times the coffee has been virtually undrinkable because it's been incredibly strong. This particular Macdonald's has always had the strongest coffee of any of the outlets we have used but it's been vile recently .Also the amount of liquid in the cup seems about 2-3cms lower than usual. ( cause and effect????) Perhaps the machines need an overhaul or recalibrating. You charge the most for your coffee in a very wide area as you use motorway prices so at least give people a decent drink. On a positive note, the staff are great.

It depends when you go that decides the quality of your visit. If you go on a weekday during working hours with kids in school (not 12pm lunchtime), it's quiet enough. But if you go within those times with kids off school, lunchtime, or a weekend; the atmosphere can range from stressful to absolutely awful. The staff buckle under the pressure and that's when mistakes are made. Generally, the food is one of the better McDonald's out there and I've only had a couple mistakes like missing bacon or banana milkshake when I ask for vanilla or chocolate. One time chocolate was unavailable so I ordered vanilla, and they gave me chocolate instead (?) Not complaining though, it was one of the rare times you can thank McDonald's for making a mistake. What ruins it for me is the kids. If it's not toddlers off the leash running rampant and screaming the roof off and smearing their food all over the tables that the staff either don't or can't clean due to laziness or pressure, then it's teenagers pulling things off the walls, littering the store and the roads outside, harassing other customers verbally and physically, wrecking the tables and other facilities like toilets, and vaping/smoking indoors. The worse part is that the staff don't care either because they don't want to deal with it, or they're genuinely terrified and prefer to keep behind the counter. I've had more than a few visits where I'm more uncomfortable than I should be in a public space where the welfare of the customer *should* be their primary concern. I've had things like straws poke me in the back of the head when I'm eating and it makes you anxious if they're going to be braver and try something more egregious, like stealing your food right off the table or pinching a fry. I surprised myself in that I would rather be stuck in McDonald's with 100 filthy coughing demon toddlers than 10 vaping hooligans closer to my age. If you can handle stuff that would normally cripple people with anxiety, go whenever you like. But if you just want a quiet visit, then stick to the quiet hours and NEVER go during the 6 week summer holidays or any other holiday.

I mean it's McD's. This one is the best in Burton. You know what you're getting. Perhaps work on getting the McFlurry/ milkshake/ ice cream machine working though.

Didn't have any happy meals available at all. Queued up in drive through to get food, no conversation at all from them just passed food through.

Manager is mental-called police on me while I was eating ice-cream from MC in parking area.

Good Macdonald's although more expensive than other branches

After waiting for over an hour for our food to be delivered no food arrived! Large order placed and told they don't know where my order is and I will have to wait 7 to 15 days for a refund!! No apology from Uber asked to make a complaint to see how this could happen and was told I was unable to that it just happens some times.

Went on the Saturday lunch time rush. Didn't wait too long for the food to be ready and there was plenty of seating available. Staff were friendly and the place was very clean also. The change in gifts for the happy meal is also very welcome. Loving the books they now give out.

What can you say it's fast food done well

McDonald’s in Burton are up to 20% more expensive than most in the country including London. So if you’re just passing through you will be better stopping at a McDonald’s in Derby or elsewhere. The speed and quality of service at this place certainly isn’t reflective of the extra cost of food.

The cleaning at this place leaves a lot to be desired. The ladies toilets were absolutely dusgusting. Lifted the toilet seat, ugh, looks like its never bin cleaned, brown all over!!!!!!!!

Just ordered thought the app for a delivery everything else came fine but one meal was missing so rang the branch to say about it and they didnt even seem consorned about it, they just said you will just to have to it thought the app not helpful at all. but i rang uber who delivered it and they were much helpful then mcdonalds was so advise to all us uber not mcdonalds.

Staff disgusting made order on mcds app over an hour and still no delivery called them to be spoken to by a staff member with a bad attitude because I said I will come and fetch it bunch of kids with major bad attitude sort ya selfs out

Overpriced. Chips only warm and soggy. You have to pay for sauces on takeaway. Banana milkshake doesn't taste of Banana but only cold milk.

Ordering food was very easy, food served very hot and lovely..but table was dirty had sauce on it sprinkled salt all over. I asked the lady who nought food to us if it can be cleaned. She said she would ask the cleaner. She went upto her while she was emptying the bins. The cleaner looked at us and turned to other tables on other side of room. We ate from our tray and it was not a comfortable or relaxing time. It felt awful eating at a uncleaned table. Glad we won't be going there again, we were only passing through that we went there anyway

Alittle slower than normal, but not to bad. I'm sure big Mac's are getting smaller !! Apart from that lovely staff, clean and generally a nice McDonald's.great for a pit stop.
