We stopped briefly for under an hour for a break for the kids to stretch their legs and grab a drink. And it was rather pleasant, sunny day. So the kids made the most the grounds running and climbing and seeing the local wildlife. I enjoyed my flat white and the kid's hot chocolate was superb!!

Second time in a row I’ve been disappointed with the quality , just had medium cod and chips and the cod was really thin, the batter was perfect but the cod was over cooked, really chewy. £8.99 not good value. Been buying from them for nearly 7 years, never again.

We were just looking for somewhere to eat on way to a weekend away and saw the signpost for The Boot in . So glad you enjoyed did. Both my husband and I had the 2 course lunch . I had soup (leek and potato ) which was piping hot and very tasty my husband the garlic mushrooms . We both really enjoyed the starter . My husband had the hot beef and onion sandwich with chips which he loved it. I had beef stew with new potatoes in a giant Yorkshire. It was amazing not the usual peas/carrots but parsnips/brocolli and mange tout. Best pub lunch we have had in a long time. The staff were brilliant too - very attentive and friendly

Our first visit to The Jockey since the new owners took over, and we weren't disappointed. Very good, friendly service, and great food. The roasts were perfectly cooked (beef, pork) and the desserts were excellent (crumble, sticky toffee). Great service and a very good atmosphere. Lots of customers looking very happy. We will return!

Went here on valentines day with my single girly friends and doggies. From the moment we walked in. Nicky greeted us. Showed us to.our table & talked us threw the menu. Amazing place. Amazing service from start to finish. The food was the best ever. We all had something different & then shared the pancakes. OMG to die for. Cant recommend this place enough. It will now be a regular place to eat. Thank u to all staff. FAB job.

We went with friends and as our meal was ok ,our friends was awful her husband had gammon that was tough and she wanted curry with chips came with rice when she said she can't eat rice, and then it came out small dish of curry which was dry at to ask for sauce, and they gave her fries not what you expected so the girl was nice but it spoilt our night as she just lost her sister inlaw and we was out to treat them.the girl did take the price of her meal off .

I had heard good things about the Thatch, so, on the way back from Bourton on the Water myself and a friend called in at lunchtime on a Monday early afternoon. The sun was shining but it was a bit chilly (Early April) so we went inside to the bar (I had my spaniel with me). The place is immaculate and warm and welcoming. The decor is nice and the tables and bench seats are comfortable. We started with a shared portion of marinated belly pork bites. OMG ! They were delicious and melted in the mouth. It blew both of us away. For mains I went for the sausage and mash and my friend had the "dirty fries". In mine the local sausages were meaty and delicious and the mash was perfect, buttered just right with the gravy subtle and good. Now, the dirty fries. Once again they were awesome, skinny fries covered with shredded confit duck in a sauce that was amazing. It is probably the first time I have seen my friend polish off a large plate of food. We sat there and just felt "WOW". Heaven knows how we then went for a sweet. My friend had the chocolate fondant with ice cream which was perfect and I went for the Lemon tart with a marscapone cream. Absolutely amazing. I finished with a smooth latte coffee. What can I say? I'm in my 70s, I've eaten all over the world from Food Street in Singapore and Raffles to the Gulf Hotel in Doha and numerous other well thought of establishments and this place is up there with the best of them. Even down to the subtle background music playing, I can't recommend the Thatch highly enough. The staff were friendly and welcoming and it was an absolute pleasureful experience. You will see us again

We booked a table for our party of eight on an early Saturday evening. We were sat at a nice table by the window with high seats. You have to order your food and drinks - no table service. There’s a good choice of good pub food which was reasonably priced, cooked fresh and well presented. We were all pleasantly surprised and would definitely return.

We booked a table today (last minute) for 4 adults as we used to go here all the time for Sunday lunch before it closed a few years ago (we hadn't been back since it reopened). Well, we couldn't have been more disappointed. We had to wait over an hour and a half as they forgot to put our order through to the kitchen even though we had paid, and when it eventually arrived, I can honestly say it was definitely NOT worth the wait. The meat was shredded and dry as a bone, the roast potatoes and stuffing were black and the veg was just like slop and the cauliflower cheese (which is something I would usually kill for) was awful there was no cheesy flavour and no sauce. All the food was extremely salty as well. The Yorkshire puddings (which my husband and son usually adore) were tiny and flat and doughy. We were also disappointed by the staff who offered no apology and just kept saying that our good would be out shortly even after we watched people who came after us finish, pay, and leave . I understand that everyone is human and mistakes can be made but if the staff had have been more helpful and the food was worth the money then I think we could have forgiven but as neither apply then we definitely won't be going back.

Just moved to the area and thought we would try it out. Will 100% be going back to eat in the restaurant and will 100% be ordering takeaway from them. Food was fantastic, quickly served, excellent portion size, fabulous flavours and a very wide variety of food. All at a very reasonable price Lovely staff , lovely food - couldn’t ask for more. Very happy I have found this place!

Best little eatery in Pershore with lots of table and quickly attending staff. Two fried eggs in toast and a pot of tea were all consumed inside 20 minutes. Breakfast was the best eggs on toast i’ve had outside my house Other small cafes available but this by far was the best
