Best chinese in evesham. Friendly service, great food

We have been getting food from Waterside for over 20 years, it was the best chinese takeaway for miles around, but the last few months the food has been absolutely awful! The fried rice is chopped brown gluey mush, the chicken tastes like it is reconstituted, the curry is bland, the crispy beef was rancid and cooked in very old oil. The ribs are literally bones with NO meat on them. The noodles are greasey. What has happened Waterside, we gave the food 2 more tries but last night was the worst so far so you have lost a 20 year long good customer forever now!!

We always order delivery, great food, tasty. Best value for money compared to anywhere in town. Large portions, fast accurate delivery times. Staff are accommodating to the orders too! Would highly recommend this place ! Thankyou

Food used to be good unfortunately the last few times our orders have either been wrong or missing items resulting in us having to go back, the meals we did get this time were wrong and not good, we just couldn't be bothered to return them. It's a real shame but will not order from there again

We've used waterside Chinese for years but the last couple of meals we've had has been very disappointing. The egg fried rice that they use to do no longer exists, it just like a clump of brown rice which suppose to be fried rice and also the vegetable curry has also gone down hill.. Shame it use to be the best but unfortunately that's not the case

Are you under new management?... The food recently has been spectacular!. Chicken added to the Singapore dishes. All cooked to perfection! Had the salt and chilli squid. Singapore chow mein added extra spicy Singapore fried rice. Added extra spicy plus extra shrimp Shrimp fried rice.. added Singapore style with extra egg Curry sauce.. added extra spicy Only downfall is shrimp could be bigger like they used to be. Plus need more bigger pieces of ham in the rice. Absolutely yummy!.

Food very dry. Hardly any sauce with chicken curry. Chips very dry and crispy. Ordered Lemon chicken got pineapple instead. Don't eat pineapple. Rang to tell them. Asked for a pic. Photo sent. Still waiting on a reply. Grandaughter still hungry. Wouldn't buy from here again.

Asked for no pineapple in one of the meals, it came with small bits of pineapple in it. When I called they point blanked denied putting pineapple in it and asked for a picture to be sent. I sent a picture, they did not get back to me. On top of this, the food was awful. All very dry and barely edible. Not happy with the food or the service at all.

First time i’ve used as happened to be on our way home, me and my wife have both had stomach complaints the morning after. Report to council, but i would avoid until they have had their hygiene standards checked!

Both of us ill after this meal rice was awful as was the chow mein, I DO NOT RECOMMEND

What’s happened to this place. The Food was always nice & plentiful. But now the prices have shot up and the quality has fallen down to Zero. I seriously hope you can turn it back round.

First ever visit today 2/5/24. Both of us violently ill 2 hours later. Never ever again.

Great delivery food always good

Prices have become astronomical, went to place our usual order and in just a couple of months price has increased by £8. Quantity had also reduced time after time since we started using waterside.

Fast service. A busy takeaway with a lot of choices. The food is cooked well and tastes great.

Just (Friday 20th October), walked into this establishment, and as I began to place my order, the server stopped me mid-flow to take a telephone order! - Extremely rude, so I left without completing. Have taken my business elsewhere this evening and won’t try here again!!

The chicken was great, tasted fantastic. Also the chips were good! Sadly the beef curry was very powdery tasting and the sweet and sour sauce for 2 meals was very watery looking and hardly tasted of anything at all. Finally the rice outright tasted like plastic, maybe the tubs it was sold in I don't know but it was overpowering enough that we couldn't eat it. The staff were great and though a little small the shop was good.

Probably the best Chinese takeaway we’ve ever had. Delicious food and friendly service. Free Prawn crackers too! Highly recommend.

Worst Chinese in town food took 2 hours to arrive and then was cold, bland and just horrible. Had 2 mouthfuls and binned it. Contacting the restaurant not interested at all and we’re rude. No chance of visiting then again.

After reading some, let's face it, really awful reviews, I decided to place an order to be delivered, because after trying the other chinese restaurants in evesham and being disappointed with them, waterside was the only place I hadn't tried. Well I'm happy to say that everything was delicious, even the squid, which has a tendency to get a bit rubbery if not eaten as soon as its cooked. The delivery came on time and the deliverer was great, he was polite and cheerful. I will definitely be ordering again and recommending waterside to anyone who will listen. Thank you for a scrumptious dinner x

Had ordered a Chinese fom here for years but had one Saturday night took 90 minutes to arrive chowmein was not as it used to be and Mongolian ribby were very poor fatty no meat prawn crackers very small what's happened to a nice Chinese we used to have won't order again will stick to river avon 🤢🤢

went in this evening ordered my food, the lady read it back to me, even told me what was in the bag when she handed it over. when I got home and was dishing up food found a few items from my order were in fact missing. this isn't the 1st time I've had items missing from my orders either but when you call to let them know they were shut and now not open until Wednesday. rather disappointing

Just moved to the area, I've tried 3 other chineese takeaways that are overly rated but had a problem with atleast one dish from each place which was shocked by. Had a takeaway from here tonight and I've found my new favourite chineese. Everything we ordered was gorgeous and we enjoyed it all. I will be recommending to everyone. What a hidden gem.

Very good takeaway/delivery chinese.Had a few from there always been very good.The duck and beef melt in your mouth defo worth havin.The king prawn curry is lovely.Portion sizes are larger than others.The delivery is really quick everytime had 1 and always hot.Would definitely recommend.

On Saturday evening (13th February) we had a chinese takeaway from Waterside Chinese place in Evesham, overall the food was very delicious and at a very reasonable price. They also deliver to home address. I would recommend anyone to use Waterside Chinese.

The food and service are wonderful. I love the way the duck is cooked and the portions are great value for money. Waterside is the best chinese takeaway I have ever visited, and I have visited a fair few in the UK.

I’m so glad I ignored the quite honestly damning reviews posted on here recently. I’ve had Chinese of late from the two top ones in the area (both restaurants) and was really disappointed. This was fantastic in comparison. Also when you ask for delivery you don’t get shouted out like the one restaurant that delivers. Lovely seafood dishes and quick delivery. We will revisit.

Had to wait ages to get meal and only realised they had forgot me when people ordering after me got their meals. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Got order wrong and charged a big local delivery charge. Average food that I was expecting to be better after the council nearly shut them down for poor hygiene. Never again

I have used this Chinese for 8yrs ..THIS REVIEW has been taken over the last 3 meals ordered. Prices have gone up. Food quality has gone down. Food always cold when delivered. Very disappointed. First time of the 3 meals I complained about the food being cold unfortunately this did not change the second was cold and the 3rd tasted like it had been warmed up. Chicken was like rubber egg fried rice was so dry. When you spend money you expect quality. This was not quality.

2.5 hrs after ordering our takeaway it was delivered cold and soggy. Tasteless rubbish never again

Never went anywhere else. Ordered from this place once a week. Rung up tonight and seemed to have a new receptionist. Placed my order from a menu infront of me which came to roughly £20. Was told by receptionist it would be closer to £28. When asking her how she came up with that amount she told me apparently the prices had changed..... What by 8 quid for 3 dishes!! Won't be ripped off! Just ordered a collection from River Avon. They have lost very good custom tonight.

Best Chinese takeaway in England! Must try duck and pancakes, absolutely amazing I wouldn’t order from anywhere else in evesham they won’t meet their standard.

1 star as i cant give 0.... Food wise is normally hot but taste is hit and miss as a whole. Staff are far from helpful and sometimes just plan rude. I have ordered in the past before for delivery and gave directions to be told its too difficult we cant deliver come and collect it. If i wanted to collect it i wouldn,t be asking for a delivery! I let it slide and then tonight i ordered to collect and was told if i cant get there in 10 mins they are closing but yet the advertise open till 11pm. But no they were closing at 10:45pm tonight so don't bother wasting your time with them they don't deserve to be in business. I certainly will not be going there again and will use somewhere else.

Food is awesome. If you are lover of Chinese food you have to try it. Its not expensive.

Benn there only couple of time, got the same meal each time, can't really say it's spacial.

The most bland and tasteless Chinese ive ever had . I wish I had cooked my own now .
