Twice I have ordered a takeaway over the phone when I picked it up it was the wrong order so had to take it back it was also over cooked would not recommend

Smaller portions than the steal price demand, tasty mind.

The food is absolutely delicious. The only problem is that they won’t provide a menu. This makes it difficult to order a takeaway.

Awful customer service. The waitress was rude,snappy and generally unhelpful. The food itself was average but the sweet and sour chicken was very greasy. Was fairly empty when we came here which may be a reflection on the customer service here. The Thai place just down the road is so much more better.

Have visited a number of times and food always spot on it’s a shame it’s not busier in the restaurant itself but I guess that can’t be helped. Love the salt and chilli wings and the soups are amazing

The staff were very friendly , the service very quick and great food. Would have been 5 but it was virtually empty with very few customers and no atmosphere.

Hadn’t planned to go that evening however the pub we had originally wanted to visit didn’t have a chef on . My partner and I have had numerous takeaways and 2 sit in meals since moving to Pershore and we have enjoyed the meal every time. The staff are pleasant and the service is quick , whilst the food always looks and tastes awesome. Would highly recommend a visit if Chinese is your thing.

Our visit here was on New Years day Absolutely first class from the service to the food A most enjoyable evening meal Our waitress was superb coping with numerous tables and taking telephone orders while also serving walk in takeaway orders She was superwoman. The food was lovely and served quickly considering just how busy they were. Fully recommend you give it a try..

Haven’t been here for ages. Ordered lemon chicken, chow mein, rices, and shredded chilli 🥩 beef which was hot and delicious. Staff friendly when collecting.

Atmosphere is not existing, clean tables and cutlery something that can't be said for the years od stains carpet. Service was poor, nobody asked if we want more drinks or if we are happy with the food just very odd (no they weren't busy we were the only ones there) Food - plate garnish was shredded iceberg lettuce, started was ok average taste, main the meat dish was ok what was absolutely inedible was "bird's nest" something that I usually love little bit crispy little bit soft soaked with the juices/gravy well this was rock hard uncooked manky hard noodles and when I told the waitress she said that's how irs always done... We will not be back And I recommend you to find another Chinese food or any other food on that matter

Popped in for a quick take away meal as I was working late. Food was hot and tasty. I can't comment on atmosphere as I was on there for a few minutes, early evening. Saying that, my order arrived quickly.

Used to be our regular Chinese and always good, as of late the quality of the food has massively declined. Ordered food a couple times the past few weeks and every item was bland, flavourless and typically over cooked and the food seemed like it had been reheated multiple times. It's a shame really as we used to enjoy it but now we won't be returning.

Shame about air conditioning not working but other than that, great.

I didn't recognise the staff when I collected my takeaway. They were very friendly which was great. However the food was of a very poor quality, tough meet and fatty. The sauce was too thick. Up to now the food has been excellent. Hopefully this excellence will return.

Went for sit down meal food took ages to arrive..only 3 tables booked but they think more of takeaway food.. but food was lovely after a hour and half wait

Best Chinese for miles. Prefer a take away as not much atmosphere in the restaurant. But the food is off a very high standard.

I made it REALLY clear on the phone I wanted my curry extra extra hot; otherwise i wouldnt enjoy it....Chinese food centre always respect my tastes and honor it. ...unfortunately it was closed tonight. It a Monday night. No excuse to not pay attention to detail. Not only was the curry not hot, it was utterly tasteless! It went in the bin. Utter cr@p. Shame on you. I hope u read this because I want my money back. I'll be ringing again tomorrow.. when you want a Chinese and this is the only one open - don't!

Whilst not regular customers, I've used a number of times over the years to know that something has gone horribly wrong. I ordered a takeaway and the staff member repeated it back to me. On collection I had to repeat my order and this was agreed. On arriving home - we don't live in the town itself - the spare ribs looked over cooked in places but overall tasted ok. My main meal was disgusting and not what I'd ordered and my husband's dish was beyond overcooked and inedible. When telephoning to complain, the person I spoke with suddenly couldn't understand English and made the whole experience unnecessarily difficult. She asked if we could return the food but not living close by this wasn't practical. Nothing was offered other than you must return the food, not even an apology. We will not use again and I would not recommend - the food was revolting, overcooked and overpriced. Very disappointed.

The food was amazing, the only thing I would say was the restaurant was cold, I rushed my food has I felt uncomfortable.

We went early for a meal before the event at Pershore No 8 and were warmly welcomed, shown to our seats. We were offered a drink which came quickly and given the menus. We didn't have to wait long before our meal arrived which was tasty and fresh, plenty of it so brought the rest home with us. Whilst we were there, we noticed a steady stream of people arriving to collect their take-aways!

Have been going here over the years - The takeway tonigh was terrible - all the dishes tasted the same - gone dopwnhill; - don't bother

The first time it was a plain rice, the next it was the pancakes for the duck pancakes & this time it was the duck for the duck pancakes. We rang them once we realised that it was missing & they hadn't even cooked it so it must have been completely forgotten about. So we went back down to collect the duck & no refund or goodwill gesture was offered even though previously they have given us a bottle of Coke as a goodwill gesture & to say sorry. The managers attitude was you've now got all if your food so you don't need a refund or even just an apology. The service was slow when we went to collect the first time & because they missed off an item we had to come back out. Very poor customer service & we won't be going back there again.

We have been frequent visitors since this wonderful restaurant opened and have always been welcomed with open arms. The food is fabulous and service smashing. Highly regarded by locals and quite right to, extremely authentic, beautifully cooked and certainly excellent value for money.

I’m not sure if they are having staffing issues or just don’t care about customer service but this place has really gone down hill. For the second time in a month we want to pick up our takeaway to be told they’d forgotten about it/there was a 30 minutes delay. We weren’t the only ones left waiting for our food. It’s frustrating because when we’d called up they’d specified a time for collection. We won’t be going back.

Dreadful Service, dreadful food, dark and dingy restaurant. After half an hour had to ask for a drink. Food was appalling! Despite being local will definitely not be returning!

Good and very fast food when you are just needing a Chinese meal. Very difficult to refuse. Hit bad by Covid crisis, but rebuilding well.

Great place to eat and the food is outstanding. Very popular and extremely busy. You can phone order but be prepared to wait. Highly recommended.

Bland. But the sweet and sour chicken batter is always crisp and the salt and pepper ribs are always meatier than most places.

Haven't had a takeaway from here for a while. On time. Chicken curry chips. Pork chow mein. Sweet and sour chicken. Egg fried rice. Shredded chilli beef and prawn crackers was £24. Delicious. Always is when I have a takeout here.

I went to the Golden dragon , pershore with a friend. The food was disgusting. Inedible. Old mouldy, dark Brown, lemon grass sticks floating in my food. Foul tasting. Like it had all been fished back out of the dustbin. The white wine was also disgusting. It tasted like neat alcohol with a bit of stale wine poured in it from someone else’s left over glass. I’ve never known anything like it. Worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. The Chinese woman in there had a sour faced attitude as well. She kept looking at me, obviously because she knew how bad the food was and obviously , I wasn’t go to eat it! I sent my food and wine back. I didn’t pay for it and they didn’t ask me to. It’s a dirty, grubby place. Do not trust them. AVOID at all cost!

Visited Monday 7th September 2020. Ordered a takeaway. Food was delicious! Had Special Chow mein & sweet & sour chicken balls. The batter on the chicken was very light & crispy we 100% thought it was amazing. Also had a special fried rice.. again was lovely. All said and done our supper was lovely. Would go back again tomorrow.. but there's so much food left from tonight.. sadly that won't be possible. We would recommend 100%

Cracking Chinese, it's always weirdly quiet inside but don't let that fool you, they are rattling out those takeaways as the locals know it's the one. If you do decide to dine in then get some dim sum to start you won't be disappointed, they've got some of their Vietnamese dishes on lock. Slightly higher prices than others but the quality justifies it. Go on treat yourself.

Had a takeaway from here whilst passing through. It was busy, but the food arrived quickly. Food was really very good, probably one of the best Chinese takeaways I'd had recently. We will be back, next time our diets lapse...

second time in the past 12 months we have been here, first time the for was really greasy but we gave them a second chance and this time it was even worse, the beef curry was extremely bland and the beef was slimey, pork yuk sung just tasted wrong, chips were soggy and prawn crackers bland and hard, was told 35 mins and ended up sat waiting for an extra 20 mins, we defiantly won't be going here again

Been using this chinese for the last 12 months. Ordinarily the food is good. Tonight however our take away order was wrong, missing a rice. It was excused as the rice we ordered had been included with a chicken curry and would need to wait for another rice. We weren't prepared to wait due to having a further take away to collect from elsewhere. Upon getting home (5 mins from collection of chinese) one of the mains was found to be cold. Very disappointed. Hopefully just a one off bad experience. Not sure at present if we will be going back to find out though.

After a hard day's face painting treated ourselves to a takeaway. I think best Chinese in Pershore now. On time but it was a Wednesday night. Saturday's can be busy so order 45 mins ahead when you want to collect.

Went to a car show for the day, got back later than expected so decided that a Chinese take away was going to be our tea. Lovely.

We were visiting Pershore and staying in a beautiful little riverside cottage for our wedding anniversary and after arriving at 5pm, decided a Chinese takeaway to celebrate was just the job.Checked Google maps and saw the Golden Dragon was in the centre and travelled 2 miles in and parked up in the square. My 10 year old and I walked around the corner to the Golden Dragon and as soon as we walked in, I had the feeling we were not going to be in for the greatest of meals.The seating area of the restaurant had a dad sat there eating with his toddler and that was it...When I was looking through the menu and asking questions you would have thought I had two heads when I asked for a ‘house’ chow mein...I was out straight with a look as if I was stupid “You mean ‘special’....” I apologised and agreed and also ordered a ‘special’ fried rice along with some other dishes and sides incl. vegetable spring rolls (later to be found defo NOT ‘special’ or vegetably, but very ‘springy’!).The lack of customer courtesy and zero smiles or eye contact just left the next ten minutes of waiting really awkward.At around the 10 min point, the young English girl brought me over a small cardboard box and quoted back our order....being thankful to get back and eat, we just left and headed back to our quaint setting to enjoy the celebratory feast...Our 10 and 5 years olds were straight into the prawn crackers whilst my wife and I shared out the dishes, which is when I realised that feeling in my stomach when I walked in was spot on...hopefully the feeling wouldn’t then lead to numerous hours sat on the loo after...We shared out the prawn balls and then on opening the containers, found that the ‘special’ fried rice was only just a simple egg fried rice and the ‘special’ chow mein was a watery grey (very unappetising dishwater grey) mixture of a couple of small pieces of chicken and a tiny slice of pork accompanied by a couple of shrivelled mushrooms and a load of beansprouts (more on these later...) but....NO noodles!?!?!? Now, I’d always thought that a chow mein was noodle based, so even checked with Google after questioning myself for a few minutes, thinking I was wrong after all these years...Then we hit the ‘vegetable’ spring rolls....hmmm...the spring rolls.....Given that there were 4 of us and only two rolls, my wife came up with the great idea of sharing with the kids and proceeded to try and cut them in half. She eventually managed to do so with a chefs knife, as it appeared that was the only thing in the cottage that would cut through something resembling the same molecular construction as leather...The were packed solid with ....BEANSPROUTS...so when we asked for ‘vegetable’ spring rolls, they must have took us literally on the matter and also forgot to add any flavour or seasoning...I would normally of driven back and had a conversation on the matter, but had consumed a couple of glasses of bubbles and would not risk my life for a plate of ....would rather not give it a name....The boys made do with prawn balls, chips and prawn crackers and my wife and I made do with more bubbles for our amazing celebratory occasion and we agree we would just put it down to experience and call them the next day, as we had to leave early.We tried calling a couple of times and in the end, just had to put it down to experience before it consumed and unnecessary amount of our time, although it still sticks in the throat a little...Maybe not as much as the spring roll would have had we have eaten them.Can’t speak for the other Chinese takeaways in the area, but this one is defo one to avoid.

Big spacious dining room. Very good food. Staff lacking a little not bringing the whole order until prompted and chatting amongst themselves instead of watching out for their guests. Again, though, the food is really good.

The food here is lovely but as a take out only. The restaurant needs to remove or silence their telephone system from the main eating area... It rings non stop very loudly making the environment really noisy and not at all relaxed.

After a busy day ordered a takeaway. Chow mein. Lemon chicken and duck curry/egg fried rice. Came to £17.40 On time as usual Nice quality food

Very pleasantly surprised by our take away meal from here. We stopped off on a whim when travelling home and it was a very good decision. We don't usually eat take away food, but the food quality was very good and the portion size very generous. It was very reasonably priced too. We may well try the sit in restaurant next time.

Waiting over two hours for a takeaway is it acceptable. Only come here as normally quick and it is convenient.... Had flies in the sauce before, no chicken in chicken fried rice, chips forgotten in takeaway. Going downhill. Really wish they would take action.

Good friendly restaurant food is excellent

I really like this place for take away food, always cooked fresh, there is a choice of Vietnamese cuisine as well. The restaurant never appears to be very busy, a lot of people preferring the take away. I normally have a pint while I'm waiting for my food. The staff are pleasant.

Good food usually, especially salt and pepper prawns. Service can be a bit hit and miss though.

Foods ok and avarage prices, can be a bit roudy if your looking for a cosy meal for two, but would use again. Waitress was very friendly and remembered us from before which was nice.

The food here is excellent but there are few diners sharing the experience. Continuous flow of take always though.

Had some great food here when first opened I complained once was intimidated by the Cook and the owner said my food was a very good last time but he was on holiday ask for receipt could not be bothered to go back was really poorly with stomach pains crippling so customers beware and my girlfriend 2 only reason why I am putting this comment on here is due to respect your customers very sad about this

While attending the wonderful Plum festival our evening meal was here......hm although the decor is a bit dated it was made up by the food. Delicious but the downside was the constant phone ringing for take away orders. So we ate and left and complained to the staff suggesting extra staff to man the phone orders .

Turned up waited ages for anyone to notice us. Dumped at a table next to a family with noisy kids. Didn’t seem happy when we moved. The back of my chair was greasy when I pulled it out. No one asked if we wanted a drink. Cheapest of fixed menu meals £35. Would expect a few candles & background music for ambience. I don’t think anyone noticed when we left & got some great kebabs & chips for half the price up the road.

Looking for food in a hurry. Walked into the restaurant and ordered food. Friendly service and quick, food ready in 10-15 minutes. Good portion sizes and tasty food.

Only ate from here two times I normally go Chinese food centre down the road. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m not used to the way golden dragon cooks as their noodles were greatly different very dry and thin. But both times now have had a real bad tummy and can’t stay off toilet, this time I think I’ve got some sort of food poisoning as I keep getting very dizzy and lightheaded and massively bad cramps in my belly along with can’t keep off toilet. Just wondering if anyone else has problems like this when they eat from there. Staff are usually great at service though so bonus for that I suppose.

Had been to this restaurant some years ago and always intended to return. The ambience seems a little jaded now and could do with a refresh of decor. Staff were very attentive and polite. Excellent menu choices. Food when it came was well cooked and presented and the portions were huge. Only one disappointment and that was lack of Chinese vegetables on the menu. Apart from that a good experience

Love this place I've lived in pershore for 10 years and tried the local one before this 1 opened and wasn't impressed but when this 1 opened I was so happy food is full of flavour and delicious we have had many a take away and a few sit in meals staff are always friendly and accommodating the hostess always gose above and beyond to give her customers what they want even when faced with rude ignore customers she always is polite ( how many of them speck and understand more than 1 language) love this place will and have been bk over and over again x keep up the good work

We had a last minute meal and we were pleasantly surprised by the staff and the lovely food. Very tasty and all served beautifully hot. It deserves to be busier than it was.

we visited recently for my 40th birthday we had a party of 10 ,even though the restaurant was very busy we didnt have to wait long for our food & it all arrived together which was good as there was 10 of us .The staff were very attentive especially our lovely waitress Amber she even got a meal changed at short notice as a party member changed their mind .The food arrived piping hot and was one of the best cantonese meals ive eaten .WILL DEFINATELY BE RETURNING *****************

Ordered a takeaway tonight, and we were told that it would be ready in fourteen minutes. We duly arrived at the correct time, and it was obvious that the order had not even been started. After ten minutes, I asked if it was going to be much longer. The staff just shrugged, and the English man behind the bar took a swig from the can in his hand and turned away. After another ten minutes, the food eventually arrived. No apologies, no offer of a discount, no extras, such as prawn crackers.
