Good food and portions. Not too expensive.

Everytime I seem to ring this place I’m put on hold and forgotten about and if I go in store the woman’s always really rude. Not even good food to make the service worth it!

Food is awful, it used to be so good, really gone down the pan now, guess it's profit over quality.

The rice noodles in the Singapore rice noodles looked like average noodles. Not exactly thin just thinner than the normal chow mein and tasted like curry and salt were the only spices used to cook it. Even though I asked for it to be made extra spicy i reckon there wasn’t even a pinch of chilli in it! The ribs were unappealingly huge and the bbq sauce looked nothing like bbq and had tiny white dots in it.basically taste like watery brown sugar and even while the “ribs” were submerged in sauce the middle was very dry

Excellent Chinese takeaway. My family and I had the best Chinese tonight,the delivery was quick,the food was piping hot and everything fresh...highly recommended 👌

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Ordered online, waiting for delivery to be called an hour later to confirm address. After explaining to two different members of staff I was then told my order would be another 45/60 minutes. I explained I'd been waiting an hour already and it wasn't good enough, to be then hung up on! Shocking way to treat a customer. Wouldn't recommended.

Good food, slightly grotty place but its all about the food

Had a takeaway with a mix of dishes. The food was mediocre at best, really bland and watery. The chicken was fatty and horrible. I had to throw half my meal away as the meat was inedible. Very disappointing.

Fabulous duck meal, service quick and straight to the point.

Just had the worst Chinese of my life. Pork was so fatty it was near inedible. The black bean sauce had the consistency of snot, and the rice was cold all throughout.

It was so delicious and the food is so reasonably priced! It was ready very quick- the lady at front of house was so lovley! Would definitely recommend

This is the second takeaway meal we've had from the Lotus House in recent weeks. The food is always ready on time and piping hot. The portions are very generous indeed and the food tastes fab! Certainly our new go-to place for Chinese in Droitwich.

Food tastes nice and absolutely love the convenience of Salt and Pepper munchie box BUT gave me food poisoning!! Cant go back now :(

Twice we've used this for a takeaway and both times items have been missing off the order when delivered even though they take the full amount of money, try to call them but they are always engaged or you are one of 2 or 3 lines just kept holding. No organisation and no checks

Me and my 3 friends all had a takeaway delived from here with in 10 mins of eatting the chicken i was feel very ill 3 hours on the loo!!! no help from the takeaway!

Really disappointed lotus house. I’ve always asked for the same meal and it’s never been an issue. Phoned up tonight to ask for a delivery and noticed it was a different woman on the phone. Asked for my usual meal with the usual changes as I ask for things to be added/taken out. I was really disappointed to hear her say “ no we cannot change meals or add the veg you wanted in” I know this is a lie as I have used lotus house for the last 3 years and have always been given the meal I have requested. I Will consider changing restaurants next time as she was really rude and blunt over the phone.

Food lovely..but we always had free crackers when u had a big order...though it a mistake 1st time and 2nd but 3rd..omg

Food was and is alway amazing 👏.. we live in Droitwich and only ever use lotus house the best in town. Always deliver before they say they are going to as well. Definitely recommend 👌.

I would give 0 stars if I could. My friend spent £40 last week on a big order but ended up with vomiting and having severe cramping and upset stomach. Went in the next day to try and resolve the situation in a polite way and was told the manager would give a call back but a week later and no response or call from the manager. Money wasted and very disappointing service especially as my friends have been loyal customers for years and spent a lot of money here in the past.

Placed an online order to be delivered 4 hours in advance…money got taken straight away! Order didn’t turn up! Called and they hadn’t done the order and stated it would be a very long time before they could do it. Leaving us with 3 children and no dinner! Customer service horrendous as other than a couple of ‘sorrys’ they didn’t offer anything to put things right. Let’s hope they actually refund the £61 order they couldn’t be bothered to fulfil!!!

As I struggle to eat the toughest dryest lemony chicken I’ve ever eaten in my 80 plus years I wonder what happened to the lovely Chinese food available in England 60 years ago!

Had a mushroom omelette and chips tonight and this is the worst one I have ever had. Chips were like cardboard, yesterdays cooked chips, beansprouts and no peas in omelette

So dissatisfied with Mushroom Omelette & absolutely disgusting Chips.Must be yesterday’s heated up no peas but beansprouts?

It might seem expensive, but the portions are large and of a good quality. Friendly service and an easy way to book online.

This is a real up and down takeaway - sometimes it's amazing other times it's poor :( and this seems to be the same response from alot of people recently - unsure if it's dependant on chefs for the day but now on the search for a new reliable Chinese takeaway

The review in brackets below was from 2 years ago just before lock down. We have retried Lotus house at least 6 times since and every time we have been very happy with the service and the food. we now wont go anywhere else. They have really stepped up their game since early 2020 and with a delivery service now, it's excellent. Would really recommend the Crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce and they do the best prawn toast I've ever had. They also do a few mixed all in one tubs that are great value for money. Give them a try! ... (Not sure I'll be going back. Was way to fast coming out. And looked and tasted reheated, gave my partner a bad stomach after just eating quarter of it. Wasn't greasy though. And needed soy sauce.)

DO NOT EAT FROM THIS CHINESE, I've had a bad stomach all night been sick ...please do not use this takeaway if you value you health !

Ordered our meal at 6:20 and were told we would have our food by 7:30. Eventually after two hours our food arrived after the lady on the phone said the delivery driver was late. After finally getting our food we sat down to eat and I instantly tasted something earthy I then spat out a chewed up prawn and a big lump of she'll. I then found two other prawns with the vein (poo shoot) still intact which should be removed before cooking. I then discovered two other pieces of shell. I then left the rest for the bin. I haven't contacted the restaurant directly yet but I will be tomorrow to express my disappointment and disgust.

Food as gone very poor. Not sure what they gave me as a duck curry. But it was way over cooked beyond meat. Way to many onions wasn't nice at all....

I've always used the Lotus House for my chinese takeaway after having tried others in town I find the Food and service fantastic and now an old family friend works part time behind the counter it makes going in even more of a fantastic experience. Thanks for such great food and service everyone.

3rd time now I've been ring for over 2 hours and either rings out or cuts off

All high quality and fresh food, usually quick (10-20 mins if collecting), can be a little longer (20-30 mins) if at peak periods on Fri/Sat evening, but we've never had a bad meal here and the staff are always very helpful and friendly. AAA+++ :)

Reliable, popular, Chinese take away.

We have tried many in the area but nobody comes close to Lotus House. The food is tasty, always hot and they are very quick getting your order made for you. We wont use anyone else now.

First time here and the food and service were fantastic!

Ordered a delivery at 6pm with a wait time of 45 minutes.. at 8pm still no delivery with 2 phone calls to the restaurant guaranteeing the driver was on his way. The restaurant has cooked the meal fresh and given 50% off but almost 3 hours for a meal is ridiculous, will not be returning.

Brilliant food, never been disappointed,

Went down there with a big order. They charge me more than on their leaflet! Gave me a pack of prawn crackers as a compensation but when I asked for small sweet chili sauce lady said that they don't have it! I asked again just in case she didn't understand me. Answer was: we don't use sweet chili sauce.! Really? Don't recommend this place for a very weak customer service and prices you pay. Hope this will help you to choose the right Chinese in this area.

Food didn't taste to good tonight quite disappointed

We ordered a take way dinner from here on Christmas Eve as several of my relatives have regularly had food from here and highly recommended it We ordered quite a few dishes and some were ok. The lemon chicken however had a most unusual and chewy texture to it and the sauce not as good as served by other local restaurants. Similarly the sweet and sour pork balls and sauce were just about ok. My relatives thought our experience was just a one off!?

Two things about the Lotus House, firstly it’s now a takeaway, no longer a restaurant, secondly it really is very good indeed.Just had our 4th meal in the last month, and pleased with everything. Very helpful staff, happy to provide off-menu variations, and everything we’ve had has been very good, and some of it really excellent.We only went recently because our usual takeaway was closed for a holiday, and let’s face it, the Lotus House has had its share of problems over the years, but now it seems fine, and very reasonably priced compared to certain others in town. Give it a try!

I only have deliveries from here, I have never eaten inside. We have a Chinese takeaway about 3 times a year and this is the best in Droitwich in my opinion. The food is always tasty and good value for money but I've stopped having the chicken because it is strange, it might be tinned or pre-boiled before being added to the dish. I wish they would start using ordinary plain fresh chicken for their meals, it isn't expensive.

Didn't actually eat in but ordered over the phone and had it delivered. Excellent service and prices. Food was delivered piping hot and loads of it. Also the food was delicious. The size of the king prawns...they are massive. Have found my favourite Chinese.

I eat here alot it is always very good and the food tonight was good but i ordered a roast pork curry and got a vegetarian curry they don't even sound the same so disappointed

The best Chinese takeaway in Droitwich by far!

After waiting 30 minutes, taking my curry home to find it was the wrong order this is the second it's happened. Although the boss was very apologetic and giving me prawn crackers as an extra. I find it strange how I waited 30 mins for the first order but they were able to make my curry in just over 5 minutes for the replacement? When I arrived home the meal wasn't very nice at all.

Tried to charge us £1.50 for paying on a card. Man on the phone also was abrupt because we kept asking him what he meant by “tata scratch”.

Decent food. The Wandering Dragon is a tasty dish.

We tried lotus house for the first time tonight and I have to say we will never have it again! We had salt and pepper king prawns, salt and pepper squid, crispy beef and golden dragon.I don't even know what the chicken was it was awful, slimey, pale in colour, and the taste was off! The salt and pepper king prawns were over cooked and to much batter in them. Overall it was tasteless and considering the price we expected a much better meal. Back to the dovey we go

First time I've ever had a takeaway from here and honestly it was the best chinese I've ever had and my family think the same.

3 hungry lads shared set meal for 3 and there was some left over. Chicken was unusually succulent and not over cooked and dry, king pawns were super and the duck was of excellent quality. Special rice was packed with goodies. Delivered steaming hot and on time. Prawn toast was actually tasting of prawns. Really good chinese..couldnt fault it at all. If you are after a chinese takeaway in Droitwich give this a go, best ive had here in years.

I think this is the best Chinese takeaway in droitwich. I always use crispy shredded beef as my go-to order to compare places, and it's definitely the best here. Prices are on par with everywhere else. They always get my order right, and it's never too long to wait.

I have ordered a few times Chinese takeaway since it opened. It always lovely as usual. Every Saturday we have family party, we will order Chinese takeaway. It will never let us down. Definitely we will order here again. Thanks to all of staff who works in Lotus House.

Tried the Lotus House for the first time on Friday night since it re-opened. Great service and excellent value, food was hot, tasty and very good, will be back again

Tried their restaurant following flyer menu. Delivery only 1pound if local it was delivered very promptly and was piping hot and very tasty large portions excellent food we will certainly use them again and when I am fit will go for a meal in the restaurant.

The customer service was excellent and the delivery man was lovely but I'm afraid none of that matters if the food is terrible.

Having walked passed Lotus house and picking up the menu, we decided to give it a try, since we had not use the place since it had re opened. We opted for the set meal for two, which was more than enough for the four of us. We were all very impressed by the quality of the food, the ,and the quantity. We shall be using the Lotus House again as we feel it is the best Chinese take away in Droitwich.

The first meal I had from here not long after it opened I was quite disappointed with, it lacked taste and there was very little chicken in my dish - I'm guessing that they were busy as they had a discount offer when they first opened. However, I have since been back a few times and each meal has been delicious, tasty, plenty of meat, no complaints whatsoever. The portion sizes are great with the tubs filled to the brim (some other chinese's in the town have poor portion sizes!). They also give free prawn crackers when you spend a certain amount - I think its £15 but not sure. I don't go anywhere else now. They also deliver, its great to have another Chinese who delivers and they are open 7 days a week!!

Went for first time following recent opening after being a restaurant. Ordered chicken dish which was raw. Returned the dish to be given a replacement dish in less than 2 mins from entering the first dish. Also raw chicken was a very strange texture. Staff of little help and insisted the chicken was cooked and only looked raw due to the colour of the sauce. Please do not use this takeaway if you value you health.

The Lotus house has reopened with new owners and it is reformed to the former glory of when the lovely George used to run it. The food is delicious I have chilli salted chicken and my partner has sweet and sour chicken and they are absolutely delicious, the meat is good quality and it is honestly the best Chinese food I have eaten anywhere in the past 10 years. I look forward to having one every weekend YUMMY!!
