The best restaurants in Telford and Wrekin West Midlands

Hi On the 22nd October 2023i placed a order via Just-Eat on arrival the food wasn't of the quality we'd normally had from your restaurant and was also extremely cold... We have visited your restaurant and had takeaways many times in the past and always highly recommend you to friends and family but on this occasion we were extremely disappointed in the food quality I'm reaching out to you now because iv been trying to deal with this complaint via Just-Eat who have now said I need to contact yourselves because I paid in cash

This placeis much better than before This greggs used to be small but very friendly now they have knocked into the shop next door which has become muvpch bigger toilet are available they staff are lovely and fo everything to make your expierence better mary is funny to winde up by asking daft ??? Love this gem

I was pleasantly surprised to find a late notice outside the gate saying, Open to the Public, for the lake side patio and bar, We had considered stopping at the hotel as our daughter is looking for a wedding venue and we knew that this site was a consideration, so it was nice to have a quick look first. (bit of a back door look with out all the flannel) We found the bar where a chap was pouring drinks, we walked up, he looked said nothing and walked away? confused we turned to find customers sitting in the bar so I asked if he was the barman, The reply surprised up from a oddly gentleman, "Yes he comes and goes, the service leaves a lot to be desired". we waited a few minutes when a lady walked behind the bar to get a bottle, I asked if we could get a drink the reply was "yes but you'll have to wait". at which she walked off as well? looking around the bar we could see that the area was a mess and the code area was nothing short of disgusting, We left and I think your fully aware of what we will be telling our daughter!!

Me and My partner went in about 2 Ish Tuesday afternoon, i wzas polite to a male member of staff called BRAD ??? (about 24yrs old ) one burnt pizza in the shelf ? i politely asked is any more going to be cooked, he pulled a face ,and said No ? Miserable, Obnoxious, NO manners at all ??? we just had a coffee and sat down, my partner then sat down and said a female member of staff JUST put some pizza's in of our choice, the male called BRAD was so rude / lazy /and couldn't be bothered??? when our pizza's wzas ready BRAD brought it over in a box AND just dropped it on our table? i was so angry with his attitude, he never said thank-you and walked off ??? NOT happy at all with the unpleasant/miserable/attitude staff at Greg's in most of their shops 😤 next time i will kick off i get this attitude again. ALSO fed up of any Greg's having more food on the floor than the tables??? Do they actually employ anyone at Greg's that can sweep up the messy floors??? Me and my partner are Not happy with GREG'S at all 😤 ???

We have visited to four other restaurants/cafe in Wellington High street over years of eating out, I truly hope that this review will be helpful rather than just critical, so where to start. I'm not going to comment on the cake side of this business, because I didn't come to Blondie's to try the Cakes, which i'm sure are great, but i'm here for Breakfast. the restaurant is nice with comfortable seating, nice size tables, and the colours are nice, unfortunately the restaurant from the outside looks like a hair salon rather than a restaurant, on entering the restaurant we sat down and looked at the menu which was as expected, I ordered a pot of tea for one, I know how I like my cup of tea, but when it came it was in a mug already with milk and for my taste a little over milky, but no disaster, we then ordered a full English breakfast. we waited for just over an hour before our breakfast arrived. the breakfast itself was fine without being great but certainly ok. the problem is that free parking in wellington is 90 minutes, it took us 15 minutes to walk from the car park to Blondies restaurant, so would take us another 15 minutes to walk back to the car. so you can see that I was now concerned about parking fines. now I know that this isn't Blondies restaurant fault but an hour to cook a breakfast is too long, the price was a little expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. I would very much advise that you visit the other restaurants, Sofias is 50 meters walk away, and is full. Blondies is pretty much empty, which is a great shame. what would I change, I feel that Blondies needs an identity as a cakes Restaurant its failing because the decor doesn't lead itself to this kind of clientele, as a traditional restaurant/cafe the staff need to be more on the ball, better quality, more of it, lower drinks prices. I do hope you guys succeed but it really does need a re-think, and I hope this review might in some way help. Mart

Had a takeaway fir eight adults on Saturday night. Obviously we had a large range of dishes between us. Food was ok really liked the yuk sung but the chicken balls were a bit doughy. I think Oakengates has better options out there to be honest.

The chef takes good pride in what is served up and the food is locally sourced. The menu has enough I would think for most peoples taste buds but I can recommend the Beef Stack and the Risotto dishes. The evening we went it was not very busy (mid week) so the chef came out and asked how we felt about the food - he really was genuine on receiving feedback.

It was pitch perfect ;) everything I could ever ask for in a burger place. It was to die for, my hunger has been completed and taken away from me. I would love to come back next time I get paid, especially the staff member Connor Mackinnon he was very pleasant and caring towards me 🤘🙌🏼

Nobody knows what they are doing behind the counter

This place has really gone down hill recently, we’ve given it a couple of chances now but I think tonight will be the last. Zero atmosphere, only 1 member of staff front of house. No beers or lagers on draft- minimal bottle selection at £6.85 for 330ml! Charged £2 to ‘upgrade to chunky chips’ however, it wasn’t an upgrade, it was a swap from skinny fries, on an already pricey ‘burger meal’ £24. Sausage & mash was edible but weird- sausages were spicy, mash was salty. Bill was given to us, then snatched away with no explanation and replaced with another bill. Weird. Such a shame as we used to love coming here!

I don’t know if it’s common practice at the Dawley kebab stores to give shit to first time customers, but this is the first time I went to buy a kebab this year and it made me never wanna do it again. Basically I had to put my own tomatoes in the food when I got home cause it was a hastily put together mess whiched barely had any additional dressing other than the meat. £6 for this would be a fair price if they actually cared about the food they serve up to you. But clearly they don’t give a shit. No thanks I will never put money in the pocket of these store owners.

Visited with friends for mid week lunch. Comprehensive menu, nice small plates a bit short on vegetarian options Drinks orders taken and filled quickly, 40 minutes for service of food. All our options were tasty, nicely presented and of a good size. Service friendly and professional. Lost a star because 17 diners on 6 tabl3s were all crammed into a very small area - very noisy conversation almost impossible. The rest of the large restaurant was completely empty so this was not necessary

Lovely staff, tasty food (breakfast) good price.
