Spice Masala in Telford and Wrekin

Hi On the 22nd October 2023i placed a order via Just-Eat on arrival the food wasn't of the quality we'd normally had from your restaurant and was also extremely cold... We have visited your restaurant and had takeaways many times in the past and always highly recommend you to friends and family but on this occasion we were extremely disappointed in the food quality I'm reaching out to you now because iv been trying to deal with this complaint via Just-Eat who have now said I need to contact yourselves because I paid in cash

Not just a takeaway, but a restaurant too. Very tasty food with generous portions, and a cheerful owner. Not licensed but you can get your alcohol needs at the off-licence next door. Try it, it's excellent!

had a takeaway had to throw nearly half of it away, the curries was luke warm ( less than a 5 min drive from shop) and 1 of the curries was extremely over spiced when opened, fried rice was oily, naan bread was rubbery, would never visit again

Ordered a take away this evening and can honestly say that was the worst, ordered before and was fabulous but tonight it was not the best, the chicken on the starter was like rubber and the main was really full of oil. Just a shame really 😞 and the lettuce was vile

My husband is a really fussy eater and LOVES your chicken saag balti. I had the bengal special which was beautiful. Chicken was cooked to perfection!!

We are regular customers to this restaurant and get a great meal every time. Food is always hot when delivered, tastes good and big portion sizes. Will definitely keep coming here :)

Possibly the slowest delivery I have ever had. We were lied to several times on the phone as to where our delivery was. Food arrived warm not hot and tasted completely of vinegar. The people on the phone are hard work and are not completing the order on Just Eat so that we can get our money back. This is the worst service, worst curry and worst delivery time ever experienced. A shocker. Food went in the bin.

The establishment was spotless and the staff were very polite and courteous, The food was excellent and far exceeded expectations, I will certainly return again. Thank you.....

We had a takeaway for two and it was so yummy! There was so much food at a really good price. Definatley our favourite Indian takeaway.

We've ordered takeout from here a couple of times recently and enjoyed our food. Tarkha Daal, tandoori chicken, and Naan were delicious. So were the Chana and the paneer dishes.

Very poor delivery service. Call the number no answer, when you eventually get through they lie about delivery time. Food was due over hour ago and no sign. When it arrived two hours late it was awful. Stay clear... never again.

When the food was half an hour late, I called the restaurant and said I would like to cancel as it was getting too late to eat. They told me the food was already on its way and would be with me in two minutes, I said I’d still like to cancel and requested a refund. An hour after this call, at 10:20pm, there was a loud banging on my window!! This was shortly followed by a call, which I answered, to be told by the delivery driver that he was outside my house with my order!! The delivery was now an hour and a half later than it said it would be. I told the driver I had cancelled the order an hour before and he drove off!! The “two minutes away” was obviously a lie as my food clearly hadn’t even left the restaurant! Valentines night ruined, I will not be using this restaurant in the future!

Well, what can I say. We have been using this place on and off for years. When we moved out of donnington to newport, we continued to use what we knew. Well not any more... tonight, valentines night... after both my wife and I had worked long shifts I thought we would order a delivery to make life easier and a little romantic. 2 hours after we ordered, I phoned the restaurant and was promised the food had gone put with delivery driver ... another 30 minutes later, I phoned again, this time to be informed that there was no delivery driver and that the food was still at the restaurant. So we went to collect. When we got there, there was no food. They then cooked it fresh and had a filthy attitude to boot. When we eventually got home to eat the food at 10pm, 3 hours after it was ordered, the chicken was barely cooked and was chewy and the rice was wet and claggy. No refund was offered and when we mentioned it they got aggressive and said they dont give refunds... really?!! Not to mention when we did go into the restaurant to collect our "delivery" the restaurant was completely empty,yet they had not managed to clear the tables... very apalling.

Food was good, but service was appalling had to wait over an hour for a take away and was told 25 mins. We weren't the only ones 3 people before me had same issue. Such a shame good food but last time

This is the best Indian takeaway locally,it has recently been turned into a restaurant and looks very nice inside but have not dined in yet.We usually just have a take away,we order via the phone and collect within 20 mins,they do also offer delivery.They use the nicest chicken in the curries and we have tried a few,Bhuna being my favorite the curry is always fresh & delicious,Naan breads are lovely too all freshly cooked.we can not recommend it enough.Thank you.

never had bad food from these guys. always get what i ordered and delivered when i wont. the set meal menu for 2 is enough for 3 may be 4. love it.

Just been renovated to a sit in.And what a great job they have done. The food (jalfrezi) was the best in Telford Balti was also top nosh ,service 10/10 Tandoori chicken starter spot on. I just cant fault this place will be back soon

We order from Spice Masala regularly - we tend to order a Chicken Jalfrezi and Chicken Bhuna as the main curry's which are fantastic as well as the half tandoori chicken and of course naan breads which may be too doughy for some people.All of the curries do seem spicy (such as Jalf, Dopiaza, Rogan Josh, Balti isn't that hot) etc but that's how we like it anyway but may not suit some people!Onion bhajis and chicken tikka are not the best (inconsistent.. one week they are fine the next they are not the best) but they make up for it with the delicious curries that always turn up hot and with a smile!We will continue to order from Spice Masala.

Both myself and my Hubby are Brummies and very often used the ladypool road curry houses in Birmingham. Since moving to Telford over 10 years ago we struggled for sometime to get that quality back. Then we found this place Spice Masala. Albeit a little slow but the food is always fresh and hot. Happy to wait for quality.

Just tried Spice Masala for the first time and quite frankly, it was the worst curry I've had in ages. Awful Chicken Balti, which came out as a stodgy clump of red (yes, red! Baltis are supposed to be a golden brown!) goo with some chicken breast mixed in. All the moisture had been cooked away. The rice was ok, and was, in fact, the only thing that saved this from an all out one star review. I would certainly not recommend this and anyone who does is clueless about how curry should taste. It seems Telford is full of easily pleased nitwits.

Fantastic food. Best in the area. Proper quality. Good value. Good portions. Bombay aloo can be a bit hit and miss. I guess it depends on which chef is working. Four stars because the keema nan hardly ever has any meat in it. Please read this Spice Massala and fix your keema nans.

First time I've had a takeaway from this place. Food was okay although not the best in Telford. Delivery wasn't too long of a wait neither.

We have tried many, many different Indian takeaways in Telford and we didn't find one that offered excellent value for money and excellent value until now.

Very impressed with the quality and portion sizes of the food. This was my first visit so can be a gamble but certainly not disappointed.... Well done will return ☺️

We usually use royal Balti, peppers or cinnamon spice but we tried here for a change and was not disappointed.

This is a much favoured place for me and my husband.

Having tasted many Indians in Telford, I have just found an absolute brilliant one.
