Been eating from here since I was a child ...Best food

Delicious food, our local Chinese and regular.

Definitely a change of hands , and what a great change Ordered three times now. Food is fresh , well cooked and full of flavour. My husband is vegetarian and the menu shows respect . The bean curd Kung po was excellent. I've ordered meat dishes where the quality and portions top again. I'm glad this is on the doorstep .

I went david chiu for a Chinese , in telford new management there the food was amazing and plenty of it piping hot staff was very friendly hope you make a go of it

We use to use David chui’s when we lived in St George’s 2 years ago ,we always enjoyed the chicken curry but the chicken was always hit and miss , heard it’s been taken over so gave it a try , wish we hadn’t, the chicken was the worst chicken we’d EVER had , it was that slimy , will definitely not been using it again

Been twice over the last few weeks and the food is tasty, reasonably priced - new owners have made a world of difference.

After change of management I can say, it excellent lovely fresh food cooks amazingly. Quick and polite service. Very reasonably priced, After not eating there for yrs will definitely be going back

First time since new management, the takeaway was delivered on time, the food was fresh and hot and very tasty. Excellent will be using again, probably the best Chinese in Telford right now.

Tried this Chinese tonight after our usual was too busy and absolutely loved it! Collection in 20 minutes or delivery in 30 minutes. The food was 10/10 and actually better than our usual. Pleasantly surprised and definitely recommend!

I’ve frequented David Chiu’s takeaway virtually since it opened - not every week, of course, but enough to have tried many dishes on the menu - and never once have I been disappointed. My European family visit from time to time and even though I am an accomplished home cook, their ‘treat’ is to get chicken curry & chips from here - they wolf it down! Joy (who mans the phone) really lives up to her name - always smiling, always chatty and such a lovely person. The chicken with pineapple is ‘to die for’ - oh, I could list sooo many dishes - but do try it for yourselves. Enjoy! Update as at November 2023: Joy is retired and David Chiu is under new management. Food still fab.

Had an excellent meal from here tonight, it was always average before, however now that it's under new management it's definitely improved, the nicest chinese food I've had in years.

Ordered food over the phone and was told the total which was £10. Arrived to collect but they told me if I want to pay card I had to spend £12 which I didn’t know about and didn’t have any cash as they never said on the phone that there is a limit that I haven’t reached, so ended up leaving without food. Bit of a shame really as I believe it’s under new management.

20 years ago, superb, not for me now, nowt fresh, everything seems frozen no taste, sorry guys not again

The food if you can call it that was absolute rubbish,the curry was more like tomato soup and now we both have guts ache never again.

Customer service is amazing, I had a pushchair with me and the step is very steep but the lady at the counter helped me in and out. The food is pretty good, best chicken balls I’ve ever had tho.

The food we've ordered was terrible! duck meet a week stored at least, chow mein with Singapore noodles and disgusting veggies. Don't be disappointed if you order after reading this review.

Amazing food, lady on front is lovely and polite. Honestly cannot fault them, never used to get chinese often as they always used to overcook or undercook the food but not here.

Absolutely disgusting food, there are plenty of other Chinese takeaway to order from ,in telford .the takeaway itself is tatty and run down the lady in the takeaway is very ignorant and rude , they have an old TV in the waiting area , and pretend cctv. There were flies everywhere, needs closing down .

The time taken to prepare the food was great as it was so quick, however, I feel the food did lack some flavour and was a bit dry in comparison to other Chinese takeaways I've had. The salt and peppered ribs were quite dry unfortunately.

Nice food served quickly and they do proper barbecue sauce.

We have used this takeaway for over 30 years now, and have never had a bad meal from here. My wife and I do not like green peppers, and they are always substituted for mushrooms at our request. We also like our dishes more spicy, and, on request, we get them spiced up. Whether it was David , the original owner and his lovely children, or the current owner, his sister, the service has always been first rate and extremely polite. We have tried many other local Chinese takeaways, often much dearer, but none can compare.

This is the worst Chinese we have ever eaten tasteless bland and really thick curry stale ribs probably cooked the day before and warmed up would never use this place again absolutely awful

Everything I go to this Chinese it is brilliant but today I went in with my pram and my son, the little lady came from out of the shop and helped me and my son get down from the big step 5 STARS From me 😀😀 very tastey food aswell thank you David chiu

Very bland, curry seemed creamy. Chips dry and bbq sauce was basically a pot of salt. Would not use again

Forgot items, cheap packet noodles not egg noodles! Argued repeatedly over what chow mein is! Never ever again! Rude woman who refused to make my items they had forgotten that I paid for! Only went because the regular Chinese was closed!

Used to be one of the best chinese food around. Not ever going here again, as the last one give my fiancee extreme food poisoning.

Used to use fairly regular but tonight I order sweet and sour chicken and standard chips with delivery. Price seems to have rocketed, guess that's Brexit 🙄😆, so its £1 dearer than local rival. Worse though is the chips were hard as if they had been in a microwave. Think I'll use an alternative in future. I always used to rave about this place but no longer.

Good take away, doesn't appear to be on any apps for ordering, so a little old fashioned, walk in, order over the phone. Delivery is available. Not open as advertised when I visited last, had to find somewhere new to try

Have had takeaway from here before and it wasn't good, but there was no other local chineses open with it being Xmas so decided to give it another try. The food looks awful and tastes awful, will not be trying again.

Easy to find Chinese restaurant and take away, simply look for the main roundabout in St. Georges. Good food, good service.

Very nice place to get Chinese food. There's tables inside where you can sit and eat your food if you desire. There's steps at the door so it's not wheelchair friendly. They do takeaway within a certain radius of the place. There's no obvious parking that I saw.

absolute disgusting food asked for sweet n sour chicken balls they gave me pork balls rice tasted burnt the sweet n sour sauce looked like last weeks congealed gravy and tasted awful no wonder this place isnt a restaurant anymore, then to top it all i ring up to say youve made a mistake and the girl on the phone argues with me avoid at all costs

Me and my husband frequently come here for a takeaway. Collection is usually within 10 minutes and the food makes it back home piping hot. The meals are really delicious and (I'm assuming..) Mrs Chiu is very friendly and pleasant. Meat content is outstanding and the dishes are never bland. But if you find that they are, that's what table salt is for ;)

Haven't been to this take away for a while. Popped in on my way home from work for ease. I was quite pleased, food was quick, hot and tasty. Will return again soon.

We called in for a takeaway as we were staying in the area and I haven`t been there in years and it was OK but could have been a lot tastier. Very fast though!

We stayed in the guest house across the road and this take away was recommended by the owners. The food was good, crispy chicken could have done with being a bit crispier though.

Cada ahora y entonces probar un hotel diferente, pero nos tomamos chino viniendo fiel David Chiu. Saben que la de aquí, la calidad y el precio es estable. Recogida o entrega a 10-15 minutos a 20-30. Nunca se quejaron de la comida.

I went there with my friends and we had a great meal there. Amazing food. Very delicious. Must come and try when in Shropshire. Love their chow mien dishes.

avoid, chicken pieces raw inside, placed an order of over £60 and had items missing! poor food, should be avoided!

We recently had a meal from here. After we plates our food we found more then one hair in the curry. When we called for a refund they refused to give one. It took nearly 20mins of telling them we didn't want a replacement, eventually they gave us a refund. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The decor is a bit to be desired, but the staff are friendly and pleasant. We had beef with green pepper and black bean sauce with fried rice, salt and chilli chicken and a chicken fried rice and some chips - to say it was delicious would be an understatement. Very tasty and lots. Thoroughly enjoyed all the food.

We recently moved to the area so thought we'd try it, to be honest the staff are lovely, but the food lacks flair. I had Kung po, with no cashews or peppers ( but with lots of bean sprouts and peas!) it had a mild chilli heat to it, but with no real flavour. The other dish we tried was chicken in black bean sauce. Again no flavour, although lots of meat.The plus points are the helpful friendly staff, and not too greasy food.

This is the nearest and most convenient Chinese to us. Parking is outside on the road. The food is freshly prepared but we always have the same - duck and mushroom - so can't vouch for everything. Taste is average - have had nicer and more tasty Chinese food. The chips are better than from a chippie as they are not limp and greasy. I would not call it a restaurant - there are tables and chairs but I would not enjoy eating there. It is more of a takeaway with a roomy waiting area.

Since this is the closest Chinese take away we have to live by it. The food is just alright nothing great. The staff is polite. But the worst thing is that they put very Lees chicken in the dishes.specially chicken fried rice. And they can't make Amy thing spicy/hot.

I have been going to David Chiu for years. The food has always been to a really good standard and not greasy and fatty like some chineses and its always tasty. The staff are always friendly and polite.

Place looks a mess but me and my wife think the food is really nice.

Quite possibly one of the worst take-aways that I've ever been to. The best thing I can say is that it looks fairly clean. But the food is so bland.
