I love Wondercook. It is like a throwback to when I first started going to Chinese takeaways in the early 80s. I would recommend the beef curry with fried rice, large spring roll, sweet & sour king prawn balls in batter and any omelette and chips (the chips here are pretty good compared to most Chinese takeaways these days - just about in the same ballpark as the fantastic Chinese hand cut chips of yesteryear cooked in oil flavoured with a hint of 5 spice - that pretty much all Chinese takeaways used to do. Whatever happened to great Chinese chips??? Please bring them back somebody). The prices are good too. Wondercook is a trip down memory lane worth taking!

Just ordered food from here and when it was delivered the chips were dry, rock hard and hollow. They were like yesterday's re heats. Called them to explain and they said they would not be like that and I was making it up. Never been dismissed like this before.rude and dismissive. Poor customer service

20 years in with this place and got treated awful by the chef/owner who won't even have a conversation with you about just one complaint ever I've made about a short portion of pork curry , the phone staff are great as is the delivery guys/girls

Very disappointed have taken many an order from wondercook,we just made the one complaint when there was limited portion just half a portion was severed.disgusting customer response it was alful when I spoke to their lovley receptionist staff and had to deal with bad manners from their management:will never go there ago after 20 years of loyal customers who order from them on a regular basis,

The attitude we have had face with management staff is disgusting after loyal custom we won't go there again

Best Chinese rake away in Wellington

Been going here for a long time and always been good. Not this time. Ordered by phone for collection in 45 min. Collected on time. Ordered spare ribs and special curry with fried rice and chicken in orange sauce. Spare ribs were ok but quite fatty. Special curry was awful. Didnt seem fresh and had a funny taste to it. Went straight in the bin. Will not be returning again.

Reception appeared tired and dirty. Piles of boxes and junk piled up behind counter. Dirty ceiling tiles. Huge menu but have to pay cash. Ordered meal by phone, was ready at stated time.Meal was Beef with Ginger and Salt. Poor contents , beef very small pieces, taste very bland and oily. Not as I remember, Will not use again.

Fabulous family owned takeaway. I've been ordering here from the first day I moved to Telford in 2007 and I have NEVER had a bad meal. Ever.

Ordered took just under 2 hours to arrive when quoted 60 minutes. They charged us more than our order without telling us. When asked to speak to manager I was told ‘I wouldn’t get far as they don’t speak English’. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like a long wait and being charged any random amount.

Food is amazing I always go here for Chinese

I really love the food from here I've been a customer for years but not after today after the upsetting way I was treated on the phone by the girl answering the orders today. I've never been talked to in such a horrible manner by any one with the order she got wrong tonight claiming things that was not true. I had my partner next too me while on loud speaker to the restaurant and she did not repeat the order to me in the phone coversation while ordering the items we wanted too eat tonight. The only thing she ran through was what drinks they offer, as I asked what they had at the end of our order, she said a price and then said it would be delivered before 10 then the phone was put down. When realising the items were missing, when i called back she checked and the items were not put when i had asked for them. She said she did read the order back when she didnt and got really abrupt and irate with the worst attitude towards me, with her saying she had several times when I kindly said she didn't. Some times people get things wrong and that's ok but she would not accept this. She was in the wrong and I got called a liar and was spoken to in such a horrible way it made me cry. No one should ever be spoken too like that it's not acceptable. Wondercook I honestly think you need too rethink your phone staff who ever was on tonight as if that's how she treats people you will be looseing more customers than me. No one should be treated like that. Which is a shame as your food is really nice.

Awful food. One dish missing from the delivery. All dishes were swamped in garlic! Not even the chips were eaten. Never again!

Regular visitor best food for miles never had a bad meal always 100 percent

Absolutely loved our food last night. I rang through our order and collected it 15 mins later. Got it home and it was still hot and so flavourable ! 👍👍

1st time ordering as was recommended to me and I was very Disappointed. unfortunately I won’t be ordering from here again chips soggy and luke warm and tasted like they had been cooked in old fat. I asked for chilli and salt chicken got chewy strips of chicken smothered in black pepper i contacting wonder cook via messenger and was ignored so that it for me NEVER AGAIN !!

This take-away was recommended to me by a good friend. Over the last few years I have sampled a wide range of the menu choices. They are all superb. If ordering Singapore chowmien ask for hot as the regular offering is way to mild.

Tasty food but they made a mistake with our order which was a shame - ordered tofu curry and got mixed veg but was still tasty.

We had the most horrible meal from this takeaway on Saturday 21/11/2020.Even the order was messed up. As a non meat eater, I ordered 4 prawn satay skewers, one of the four was chicken!! On phoning to complain, I was asked had I taken the meal back, to which I explained we had driven a 14 mile round trip to collect the order, and certainly had no intention of returning, particularly being in lockdown. The whole meal was thrown away. We will not be returning!

Telephone staff very pollute advised me about 45 m inuite wait but 90 minutes later it turned up the telephone staff after ringing again saying it was a mix up with the drivers and when the food arrived I played the driver and she asked me if I wanted the change and it was a £5 change as well and chicken was wrong as well even though it's nice food imonlynorder from here as my regular is closed

As soon as I tasted those chips, I knew i'd never go to a different cantonese restaurant again. They have have so much choose and everything i've had has been amazing. The smell that hits you when you open those doors makes you want to order everything on the menue!

I've seen dirtier, but not much. Generally needs a clean especially plugs, switches and other high contact, areas. Staff also need some food hygiene training or need a refresher course

Great Chinese takeaway, so much choice from the menu, plenty for vegetarians too. Been having takeaways from Wondercook for the last 20 years and never been disappointed. Local delivery service too and free prawn crackers for large orders

Tried to order a meal for 6 people tonight to be told they don't deliver from Wellington to Dawley because it's to far lol, Oh well your loss there's plenty of other chineses who wouldn't turn down the order or money

Never felt the need to review a takeaway before but this was the worst food I’ve had in a very long time. 3 different dishes and each was worse than the previous one. Absolutely awful food. Still struggling to find anything good in Wellington.

Busy all day in the garden, we decided to chill out and order a chinese takeaway from Wondercook. Ordered a house special curry with boiled rice with a Gung Po beef! We also had some prawn crackers to dip in the curry sauce. We had a delivery which they said would take an hour ad they were very busy. We chilled in the garden with some drinks while we wanted in the sun in the patio area. The food arrived about an hour and 15 minutes after we ordered but as we were chilling, we wasnt in a rush. Food was hot on arrival and was delicious. The best curry is from Wondercook

Tonight myself and my partner ordered a takeaway.. we have been here lots before. When I got home there was two black hairs and a dead fly in the beef fried rice. Will not be returning!

Decided to have a Chinese takeaway as it was Friday we chose tbe following to share between 2 adults and a growing teenager, egg fried rice, singapore chow mein, beef chilli and garlic, chips, curry sauce and an extra portion of soft noodle chow mein. The portions are great and after phoning the order through, it was picked up within 15 minutes. Food was lovely and this takeaway is still the best in Wellington 😊

Food is nice, portions and prices are average. We ordered via just eat and there was a delay with the food arriving, called through and got an apology and a new eta. The delivery driver also apologised for the delay. Food arrived hot.

I've been ordering from wondercook for years and have never had trouble, tonight I've ordered tea for me and my family after work and it was dreadful, everything was freezing cold, the chips looked like yesterday's just reheated, even the prawn crackers were dry and...

Our takeaway of choice for Indian food. Good and extensive menu fast delivery and excellent food been using Wondercook for many yaers and never had anything less than excellent food.

I moved to Telford in 2007 and my new neighbour recommended it as we were lugging boxes into the house... It's standard Chinese takeaway fayre but it's done well and at a good price. It's been our go to takeaway since 2007 and the last meal we ordered was on Thursday 28th January, 2016. Our boys, now older, enjoy the food from Wondercook as well. It's a good, solid, Friday night, take away place.

This is by far the best Chinese takeaway in Telford. A must try is the Singapore noodles with the crispy chile beef.

Love the food here. Great value for a takeout. Extensive menus and food always piping hot. they also do proper Chinese chips which take me back to my childhood school days of nipping out of school at lunch to the local Chinese shop for a bag of chips and portion of mushrooms lol.

We go here about 3-4 times a month. Tasty food and good sized portions so you can make a meal out of it twice! Prices are reasonable. Especially love their salt and chilli chicken wings.

One of two Chinese take aways that I always come back to even after trying others. The only annoyance is not being able to pay by card over the phone, but they accept a cheque at the door. Food - which is the main reason for the review! - is always good and with good size portions. Great chips.

This is the best chinese food I have tasted, never disappoints. We use regularly as a family and great when we all get together. Every dish we have tried has been really tasty, love the Yuk Sung and crispy pancakes.

this is a shame because we have begun to use this take away weekly. They delivered a meal but not complete, they then argued on the phone, and even though we paid for the full order refused to deliver the missing dishes, they were also both defensive and rude saying "we never make mistakes..you didn't order it". we checked the bill again against menu which they refused to do. This is a shame the food we did get was good..but this was totally unacceptable.

This is the best chinese in Telford by far. The food is very good quality and cooked to perfection. The only fault is that they do not deliver further than 2 miles so i have to collect every time. Come on Wondercook start delivering to me. im not that far.

Mandi and I fancied a Chinese and we decided to go to Wondercook as usual! I have been having food from there for years and I have never commented on the quality of the food! As we now regularly make comments, we decided to complete one for this takeaway. It is one if the best in Wellington and they do deliver :) We love Chinese food and when we dine at other Chinese, they never quite meet the quality and taste of Wondercook! We will always recommend this takeaway :) especially the spicy dishes!
