Ordered beef chow mein, Malaysian duck chow mein and sweet and sour king prawn balls. To be honest the prawns are ok, the sweet and sour sauce is too sour and both chow mein are inedible. Waaay overcooked noodles, too soft and the meat is dry. Waste of money. £30 straight in the bin.

Delivery is fast, however, chowmein is way too overcooked! I wouldn't even start with the sweet and sour sauce! I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's a total waste of money!

They never disappoint with their meals. There are no bad days which is what I like most about the place, it's always the same quality or sometimes even better. Wait time here can vary due to the time you place your order. However, you can call ahead to place an order for a later time if you want to skip the wait.

Literally the best Chinese around & I won't go anywhere else. The food always arrives hot and tastes delicious. The man on the counter is a credit to the Chinese always happy and helpful

Decided to eat here its been a while and i am so glad i did. The beef curry was the best curry I've had from a Chinese in years. The beef was cooked to perfection and my word the curry sauce itself was nice and thick, full of taste with a nice spice. I also recommend the Singapore chowmein and the salt and pepper munch box. This Chinese is a little Gem.

Brilliant food, excellent service. Never been here before but tried it on a whim and its one of the best places I've ever had Chinese from. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Very good portion sizes too. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely eat from here again.

Never been here for food before, the staff were friendly and the food was mainly really good. The only problem was the curry sauce smelled like coffee and tasted like burnt coffee not like curry at all. Shame as the chicken and pork fried rice was really good. Also the pancake rolls were very perfumed and not great tasting. Bit disappointed.

Ordered a satay chicken and a chicken chow mein from here and we genuinely could not taste any difference between the two. Both were also very 'slimy'. The lemon chicken was great as we're the spring role's, prawn toast and seaweed. Debatable whether I would take a chance and go back.

Seems to have changed hands, this was a semi regular takeaway for us a couple of years ago so we decided to pick up a takeaway a week or so ago. Sadly I don't think we'll be visiting again if the food we got is the standard we can expect now. The good bits: It was hot. Decent size portions. The bad: Bland, I've cooked better at home and I'm no chef. Greasy, felt like my teeth and tongue had been oiled Expensive, nearly £17 for two dishes which ended up in the bin. We ended up throwing away about half of it and cooked instead. Lesson learned.

I have used this take away for over 20 years, food is always great and service top. However recently they have started to only take cash unless you push, told today in future we only take cash at weekends. Not sure why? We will have to find a new takeaway! Sorry but cash only doesn’t work.

Been here alot of times I just love their spare ribs in BBQ sauce good on price and great friendly staff I often recommend them to work colleagues and friend

Food was ok.. hot as hoped but lacked taste. Felt like eating a supermarket ready meal rather than something made with love,care and flavoursome. Quite disappointed

The delivery was quick. The food tasted a bit sloppy with little flavor compared to other takeaway restaurants.

I landed on this takeaway en route from nowhere to somewhere. What a pleasant surprise. An unprepossing exterior does not bode well for the food. Take a second look. The sweet and sour mixed meat and seafood selection was piping hot and fried in a light batter to perfection. The mixed vegetables in sauce was very nice as too was the fried rice. Well worth a repeat visit. If only it was on my doorstep...

I walked in and a waiter quickly served me. By the way, his name was Bruce and he was a lovely young man. The menu has a great deal of items so I asked for a popular chicken dish. Unfortunately, I went home to find out that the chicken was sour. But the service and rice were both excellent, so I recommened the establishemnt. I think that the Lee family doesn't have a golden house, but a golden castle. - Francis J

Superb service for delivery near Buildwas and the food is delicious- consistent standard did the last three years. We love the salt n pepper ribs, complimentary prawn crackers are the best, we love ordering the same foods, curries, beef in black bean and the king king sweet and sour. Visiting family have loved Chinese night at our house due to the service and quality of the food. Keep up the great work guys! Xxx

Food was average. Sauce was nice but chow mein was watery and Mushy!

Have had 2 recent 'delivery' orders from here and not disappoint Food has been delivered within time stated (when asked) and have to say its doesn't appear to be cooked in a mountain of fat like some places. I enjoy 'chow mein' and think here does 1 of the best one's that I've had in long time

The food has got very basic, tasteless and not worth the money. Used to be a nice little Chinese, never had such a basic chicken curry which was basically medium size chucks of chicken (had to get a knife out lol), curry sauce and one or two slices of onions...and if you have to add flavour to your meals, you know it's time to move on Save you're money to visit a better take away

Having used this Chinese when I was younger and it was good food , and had a menu pushed through . So we decided to order a meal for one and sweat and sour chicken Hong Kong for son. the meal arrived with in thirty minutes and piping hot, the meal for one was enough for two people the chicken curry was nice and spice how I like it and the chicken was in big chuck, the chicken balls nice and crispy all in the quality was the same that I remember as a child. Will use this Chinese from know on.

We have used the golden house for a few years without complaint, but last night we had the worst food ever delivered to our door, we had banana fritter and pineapple fritter they had no syrup on them and were very dry, my wife and her friend order the starter platter and it all tasted like fried bread, they also had the spring rolls which were awful, the hoisin sauce was revolting, my wife had to throw the lot in the bin but what they ate made them feel unwell, we will not be ordering from here again.

Always use this takeaway now as it's the best around. Always good food and generous portions along with friendly service!

Pretty much only ever order from here and would certainly say it's the best in Wellington. The menu is nice and large and has everything you'd expect to find on it for a Chinese. Sometimes the delivery time can be a bit long on Fridays and Saturdays but if you can pickup then it'll be ready in at least half the time. I always get a free portion of prawn crackers and sometimes a free bottle of pepsi, but I guess that depends on how much you order. Overall, a very good takeaway that provides a wide variety of dishes that cater to all tastes, would definitely recommend.

We have takeaways from Golden House quite often. The food is always good and piping hot and the service is efficient and friendly. The menu is varied and interesting.

Never had a bad meal from here, and delivery time it fast compared to others in the area, I'd recommend Golden house.

We occasionally try other Chinese takeaways in the North Telford area but we always come back to this one. Their delivery is usually within half an hour even when they say it will be longer. Their chips are fabulous!

Brilliant. We used this as a family when I was a child. It went really downhill with a few meals though so I avoided for a long time. I decided to try again on sat night & it's just as good as it used to be. Fantastic food delicious xx
