The best restaurants in Stratford-on-Avon West Midlands

Absolutely delicious family meal on Mothering Sunday. Although it was busy, the staff were all incredibly attentive and helpful. Our family group thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday Roasts, not only were they cooked to perfection, the portion sizes were very generous too. Looking forward to returning.

Popped in for Lunch, we knew they were open as the door was unlocked & the lights were on, but there was Nobody at home, no staff or customers. Eventually (10 minutes) after repeatedly calling out & wondering around the pub Mrs B found a female member of staff & we finally got served with a much needed drink. We also ordered 2 Toasties with Chips, which were Top Notch Toasties, very very enjoyable. The pub is a lovely little pub & would have easily have got 5 stars if the initial service/welcome had been there.

The variety of stores all of which are substantial in size make the Maybird Shopping Park an attractive venue. The large open carpark can accommodate hundreds of vehicles. Although in inclement weather one may have to park at some distance from the nearest shop once one has reached the stores a covered walkway gives protection. There is a café within the Asda store otherwise there is not a Café Nero a Costa Coffee or similar. Technically the Maybird is an out of town centre but in reality its proximity to Stratford upon Avon means it is very easy to extend a visit

We had traditional beef Sunday roast. So reasonable at £19.00 with the leanest slices of tender beef, thinly sliced but generous portions / no steak knives necessary. And 6 different veg including crispy fluffy roast potatoes and crisp Yorkshire puds.

Really lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings

This lovely pub with reasonably priced rooms is a great base from which to explore the cotswolds. I stayed two nights - my room was tastefully furnished, the staff were very welcoming and breakfast was to a high standard. You need to watch your head on the low beams, but otherwise I would highly recommend the Red Lion!

Quality of service can be very hit or miss at Costa. Unfortunately this branch is a big miss. Service was really poor with rude staff. Our food was not properly heated, cold in the middle. Queue was also extremely slow moving. Won’t be coming back.

Went as a group to play skittles. This was a great evening out for our group.With landlords concent we brought in fish and chips.These were greatThere is a bowling alley here for old fashioned skilles.Superb fun. The beer is excellent particularly the Speckled Hen. We had a great time. Plus will be stopping here after we walk locally. This place is great with loads of atmosphere.

Really nice place to visit-food was amazing I had steak cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Staff were brilliant. Would like to visit again soon.

A good village centre pub. No thrills but it does exactly what it needs to do.

Not very nice. It caught on fire so couldn’t have 50th birthday there 🥲

All round lovely place. First visit and it won't be the last. A proper decent cup of tea, delicious cheesecake and lovely laid back atmosphere.
