The best restaurants in East Staffordshire West Midlands

I can't exactly say anything good or bad about the food as we didn't get to eat there, even thought I booked on their on-line booking system for a table of 3 for my mother in laws Birthday meal, we arrived at 14.30 table was booked for 15.00, there was about 7 customers no one at the bar and it still took about 5 mins for someone to come to see us, eventually a lady came and asked us what we would like to drink I told her we have booked a table for 3 people we was told they have stopped serving food for the day even though they still had the board outside saying what food they was serving, so I showed the lady my booking confirmation on my phone her response was there's nothing in her diary ( obviously they'd forgot to put in in ) can't believe they had stopped serving food at 2.30 in the afternoon. No wonder the place was virtually empty if they treat the paying the way we was treated 😡

Stopped in for a couple of pints of stout. Very busy Friday evening. Beer seems good and place is fine. Seems really popular.

New landladies! Very welcoming here and dog friendly. Great selection of drinks ☺️ ideal in the middle of the town. Taxi round the corner and buses out front 😁

Whilst in store after ordering 2 iced coffee’s we were handed our drinks without lids. My partner very politely asked if we could have lids for our drinks and the member of staff very rudely replied ‘if we had lids I would’ve put one on’. Being an assistant manager in retail I would be appalled if I heard any of my staff speaking to a customer like this.

Fantastic service and brilliant food, staff were absolutely faultless and brilliantly attentive. Food was probably 9/10 with the only issue being the lack of vegetarian options. Highly recommend coming here!

Came here with the family as we heard there was now new owners. Was great to see how much the place had improved: nicer food; nicer atmosphere and all round cleaner and more tidy. We also bumped into the Turkish chef/ owner after our meal who was absolutely lovely, a Turkish delight! Will definitely be coming back soon.

Ordered pepperoni feast & Fanta Bottle. Despite the price online being £13 for the pizza & £2.95 for Fanta, I was charged £21.95 at the door. Is delivery £6! I think not. I wouldn't mind if the pizza was good however it was thin, soggy and the cheese fell off the base. Used to be good, gone downhill. Wont be going again. Disappointed.

The first impression was how cold the restaurant was! It was most unwelcoming. I don't think any of my food was 'hot'! Lukewarm at best - very poor. Also, the lukewarm food went onto cold plates. None of the food could be described as quality. I didn't fancy the prawns I had chosen. A lot of the pork was quite chewy and inedible. It wasn't aromatic 'duck' pancakes - but pork; and the pancakes quite dry. I couldn't recommend this restaurant and also unlikely to be returning.

Excellent meal for my birthday celebrations with family. Very good and quick service and staff lovely. Would highly recommend.

Booked a table Booking reference: DMN-16880455201 with friends, nobody welcomes you as you arrive, having to wait at the bar from other customers to get served before you can get seated. Realising at the table you order food on the App... App Wasn't letting most of the grill items to be selected therefore had to go back to the bar again waiting for over 15 minutes for bar staff, we decided to leave as nobody seems interested in serving food only selling drinks. Such a shame as last time we came gave a 5 star review. Looks like a drinking venue now and not an eating venue.

We had a lovely meal and were well looked after by Jelena and Nat. The ale was very nice too. Definitely coming back. We took advantage of an online promotion which gave us two meals fir £20.

There was a pubic hair on my pizza

A dad - Daughter night out. As always there is plenty of seating and wheelchair friendly. Staff friendly but Mawema was the star of the team - if only every server on every eatery had what she had…… Been a Nando’s fan for years. Started with olives and garlic - pity there was no garlic - told this is how they are received.. Spiced nuts. Went for the chicken liver starters with fresh bread roll. Livers were lovely - don’t be put off by liver, sadly a cold Bread roll and no butter ! Hate asking staff to make good an order. Shared a chicken platter with a salad. The fries arrived warm but not the usual crispy finish! Although I have moaned a bit, Nando’s still offers what it says on the can - easy, family friendly menu.

Recently stayed overnight in the hotel and dined in the restaurant. We both had the Valentines set menu and both agreed it was fantastic Service was brilliant couldn’t have been better

Usually a top place to eat. Cafe staff are exceptional as are most the staff there, with the exception of Mr Vest the store manager. But on this occasion there was a bird flying around the store. I didn't realise until id finished my coffee and cake. They were still selling food and beverage to be consumed on site with a bird in store.
