Best pizza in all of the UK I've tried, perfect crusty chewy dough base, with amazingly fresh toppings. Polite staff and wonderfully delicious. Can't beat it

I don’t know how anyone is giving this five star review. The menu looks so great of the food is very poor policy very dirty beyond in the kitchen and don’t accept car payments. I don’t advise anyone to eat from this restaurant. If kebab looks like it was left there for about a week is disgusting. Do not eat from this restaurant find somewhere else take my advice, not because I’m upset with the staff because I’m just telling the truth on the food, very poor quality

******AVOID EATING AT THIS PLACE !!!***** I strongly advise against dining at this establishment! My experience was nothing short of a disaster. I placed an order at 12:15 AM and was instructed to pick it up in 15 minutes. I ordered a half & half pizza, fries, and drinks. Upon arrival, the lights were off, and staff were ready to leave. To my surprise, my order was sitting on the counter, exposed to the night air. When I got home, the food was ice-cold. The pizza had toppings on the wrong side, a clear sign of negligence. Upon complaining, the response was absurd. I was told to call back on the day, which was impossible as the shop was closed. After three days, they called back, claiming they needed to "investigate like the FBI." This response was both peculiar and unprofessional. Despite my dissatisfaction, the owner offered a meager £6 discount on my next order. I declined, as I had spent £25, and any reputable establishment would have replaced the entire meal. The lack of customer service and disregard for customer satisfaction is evident. My friend also had a terrible experience with stale mayo on her chips, which were past the expiration date. Steer clear of this place—I won't be giving them my business again. Raj

Mid level takeaway, food was hot a served quickly and tasted fine, just didn't get much chicken in the kebab, mostly salad other than that no issues.

Tasty pizzas, quick delivery, and excellent service every time. As a Uttoxeter local, this place is a staple not to be missed

Firstly, the food was lovely, as per normal. However, they got my sons pizza wrong. He ordered a Cajunlicious, but ended up with a Hunters, the same as my wife, despite the ticket clearly showing Cajunlicious. Secondly, having experienced them over charging before, I got the individual to read out the order and provide me with the price. I gave my son more than he needed and despite this, he still didn't have enough because they once again overcharged us. My son queried this and advised that they provided a price over the phone, but they said they had misquoted. When we have added our order based on their published prices, the price quoted over the phone was correct. This is the last straw. Even though the food was lovely, I cannot deal with unscrupulous businesses who repeatedly overcharge and as a result, they have lost us as customers.

The worst experience of my life! 3 hours waiting for food to be delivered, and several phone calls to both the driver and shop, to then be told … it’s at the shop if you want to collect because we can’t find you. Unbelievable !!

Awesome food and great service. Barely a week goes by when I don’t get a takeaway from them. The pizzas and garlic bread are the best around town, and having just sampled their BIG kebab I can say it’s a worthy meal for sharing. 5 stars every time, they’ve never disappointed. Lee

My son had a pizza from here the other week as a treat before he left for his week long trip to Standon bowers. Pizza cooked perfectly and the chips here are always delicious. Highly recommend for takeaway in Uttoxeter

They go the extra mile, I have a fussy 6 year old who wanted a chicken nugget and sweetcorn pizza. Sergeant peppers were more than happy to make it. Been going here for about 20 years, they make the best pizza I've ever had. And Piper was extremely happy with her pizza!

Sergeant Peppers is the best shop in the Town, which always provides the best services with the highest quality to its customers.

£25 order - main attraction (pizza) stuffed with meat when veggie ordered, garlic bread replaced with fried mushrooms and cheeseburger cold. Third order in a row now that's been wrong. Used to be the go-to place in town. I imagine it won't be for much longer. Advice: get a website fit for 2022, take card payments, get on delivery apps and service orders correctly. Business will boom.

I would not rate this place at all .. We wanted 2 burgers with salad and chips .. Burger for my husband came with no salad and mine came with one piece of tomato (which it was the end of and cut to thick ) and one piece cucumber little piece of onion. It was put together like they was throwing it into the box or I got it out of the bin. The chips had been cooked way to much were no potatoe was left in them anymore . Would not even give it one star . But I have had to so I can post

Can’t believe it, I’ve had Sergeant Peppers for years and the food’s always been amazing especially the pizzas. I ordered a kebab (mixed) and the meat and chips were reheated and bone dry. The doner meat in particular was like cardboard. I’m shocked that somewhere I’ve bought from since their opening would serve under par food like that.

Quality was rubbish well overpriced.not sure if it's changed hands. this place use to be one of the best in the area . Moved back to the area though we would give it another go but burgers where burnt and the guy behind the grill was eating out of customers food as he was boxing it up

As i was waiting over half an hour after was told my food would be ready the Man cooking the food was eating it and picking it out of his teeth as he was serving food. Standards of hygiene are questionable.

Appalling. My burger tasted rancid. The chips were not cooked properly. The garlic mushrooms were full of water. My so called garlic nan bread was not nan bread but flatbread and was so hard I couldn't bite through it. Always our first choice to get takeaway pizza, especially after a night out with friends. Extremely clean premises and friendly staff

Very poor service.. I've never met any one quite as rude as the lady behind the bar. When we had an issue with our food, instead of helping us resolve the issue she chose to be violent and aggresive. Very disappointing

They took my money for a pizza waited till the end of service to then tell me I haven't ordered an I need to leave an witch would been fine if they handed back my money but then argued with me and threatened to call the police. Discussing behaviour for two on the members of staff that have wrongful accused other customers from stealing in the past would 100% would avoid save being robbed or harassed by the staff.

We have been waiting an hour and a half for 2 kebabs and chips on a Wednesday night - and still not here! We rang about 20 minutes ago and they tried to make out we had phoned later than we had. During the restrictions I had waited outside with no one inside and got completely ignored. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt . . . .but . . . last time we order from here!

Very poor service. Told delivery would be within the hour. After waiting one and a half hours I rang to chase. I was told it would be five minutes. Twenty minutes later I rang again and was cut off. Food finally arrived almost two hours after we ordered. Our problem was, by the time the food had arrived, half our guests had gone ( having previously booked a taxi). Service and attitude very poor.

The only takeaway in uttoxeter we use. We are more than willing to make an 8 mile journey as we think it's that good. Very clean hygienic staff and work place, friendly helpful staff and very good food.

Received my pizza and it was all over the box pretty sure someone had eaten some of it. Very poor. Took over an hour to deliver then I stood outside waiting for my refund for 40 minutes. 3 times out of ten you will get a banging pizza but the other times there poor. Depends what day you catch them on also staff don't take responsibility and want an attitude check.

Still lovely pizzas, but lady whose english wasn't good told me I had ordered something different, had to then wait for correct order, so pizza etc going cold. Not a good attitude, what happened to the customer is always right.

Terrible delivery service , take your order ( take your phone number ?why ) commit to delivery time and you have to phone twice to chase and turns up 30mins late ( 2 hrs form original phone call ) no apology nothing , always used but won’t again

I rang and ordered a small feast for the 3 of us to be delivered at 7pm this evening. Excellent food. Could not fault it. Highly recommended

st peppers, WOW. recommeded by my old chum duncan, this is my holy worship place for hangover food and just any food. The very polite and very smart staff, especially the small blonde one will be seeing me whenever im hungry. ordered mozzerella sticks, the cheese oozed into my mouth, satisfying me with much pleasure. The staff are very hygenic as well which is a box ticked off. The pepperoni pizza was absolutely spectacular, who needs this gordon ramsey nonsense when you have st peppers. just a phone call away from your meal of dreams. highly recommend.

Both myself and my mum who is 68 were violently ill after having a home delivery from here on 01/01/21. A few hours after eating here we both very ill we had sickness, diarrhoea, headache, a temperature and the chills. We contacted the arrogant owner who had no empathy and didn’t even offer us our money back. I was so concerned about my mum that I contacted 111 on the Sunday.Nurse from our GP contacted us on Monday with a prescription for mum. We were back to normal in bout 5 days. We have obviously reported this to the Foods Standards Agency.

Ordered a takeaway at 7pm they rang at 8.45pm to say driver could not find us after explaining where we were it turns up at 9pm and guess what it was cold never using again

The problem with this place is in the week when it's not to busy you get a decent meal. However when busy at weekends they send any old rubbish out and portion sizes are smaller also is it acceptable to wait 2 hours for a delivery. Poor

We love this takeaway - mega grill mixture and tikka Bhuna kebabs are consistently good!! Always a crowd pleaser too - everyone we have ordered with has enjoyed here!!

Stopped in on the way past and have to say: beautiful food. Kebab (tikka) was amazing- the bread was so much better than your usual kebab and plenty of meat on it. Pizza (pepperoni feast) was lovely too. Staff were really friendly and good value for what we got. Definitely recommend.

The food used to be great but quality really has gone down hill over the last three years. The pizza comes swimming in the box full of grease. Undercooked slop sometimes. It was beautiful food when I first started using peppers in 2010. But 2017 onwards it's got worse and worse. I hope it can raise its bar again to the quality it once was. You cant complain face to face or by phone for fear having the order tampered with you just wouldnt know so it's not worth risking it just dont order or do. I never complain to fast food places hearing horror stories from elsewhere. Peppers staff seem great though I doubt they would I'm not saying they would its just my fear what if so I dont complain. I think the biggest problem at Sargent peppers is delivery I think they try to make as few deliveries as possible. So the driver goes on a long run dropping multiple orders and so if your towards the end your food will be a mess food presentation is a huge factor. Burgers stuffed into boxes of soggy chips then left to sit sweating for 20+ minutes nobody wants to eat that but drunk teens. Pizza leaking grease then soaking it back up. If you collect the pizza its I swear one of the best pizzas around. If they could deliver it in that same condition I would order weekly. I haven't orderd for months now so disappointed with every order until deciding no more. But I miss their food but after reading the latest reviews I think I'll not bother again. This is my only review because I'm annoyed I could have awesome food but nope I hope they see this and make the changes sell more pizzas.

Considering the prices charged, the service is poor and after an hour and half of waiting for a delivery, we phoned and were told they still hadn't started cooking our order. Avoid!

Always ask for extra sauce but never get it other than that it's a cool pizza place

My wife, son Alex and I shared a Sergeant Pepper 14" mega pizza on Saturday night. It was the best pizza I think I've ever tasted ! ! ! I would defiantly recommend Sergeant Peppers if you are in or around Uttoxeter. I believe they make everything from scratch. I also noticed they have a 5 star hygiene rating which is always reassuring to know.

1 45 mins for delivery had spicy hot roast kebab it was bellies pork very fatty pizza was burned and very expensive comparied to other local takeaways

Two hours for incorrect and missing food. Then well over an hour to bring the missing food we had been charged for that apparently was sat there ready to come straight to us!!! Still wrong i may add!!! Over charged £8 more than menu stated (which was ALOT more expensive than anywhere else and not worth the extra - £3.80 for 5 mozzarella sticks is a joke). Charged £3.50 for delivery however states free delivery on orders over £15!!!!!! Never again!!!!

We came for 70th birthday mixed ages we had a great time and would like to thank the doorman who kindly stopped a situation, we felt safe knowing that for how busy the place was it was monitored, great . Music and cheap drink and chance to have a dance and others could sit down if needed

Just had a takeaway from st peppers, ordered it 1hr and 50mins before it was delivered even after being told it would be 'within the hour' order was cold and wrong. Food was way below par very disappointed

Just ordered pasta carbonara it had clearly been made another day and frozen, I tipped the pasta onto a plate and it came out solid like a house brick in the shape of the tray! I took the food back and had a burger which was cheaper than the pasta and didn’t get offered the money I was owed back! Absolute joke! I’ve paid nearly a tenner for a small chicken burger and a bottle of Fanta! Never again!

Ordered a calzone off their menu only for it to arrive raw. It looked cooked, if not over cooked on the outside and I was quite hungry so ate a whole slice thinking it was quite cheesy.. until I realised it wasn’t cheese but in fact completely raw dough. When I called to complain I was asked what I meant by raw which frustrated me slightly I was told to hold and then heard arguing in the back ground while I waited for an answer only to be told, all their calzones come out this way because of my pizza choice, only 2 toppings in a calzone. No where on their menu did it say that nor did the person taking my order say that.
