Nando's in East Staffordshire

A dad - Daughter night out. As always there is plenty of seating and wheelchair friendly. Staff friendly but Mawema was the star of the team - if only every server on every eatery had what she had…… Been a Nando’s fan for years. Started with olives and garlic - pity there was no garlic - told this is how they are received.. Spiced nuts. Went for the chicken liver starters with fresh bread roll. Livers were lovely - don’t be put off by liver, sadly a cold Bread roll and no butter ! Hate asking staff to make good an order. Shared a chicken platter with a salad. The fries arrived warm but not the usual crispy finish! Although I have moaned a bit, Nando’s still offers what it says on the can - easy, family friendly menu.

The kids meal is spot on. It's like 5 quid and you get as much as you do for adults meal. NHS discount also makes it even cheaper. I don't even work for NHS though I am a doctor of the science. Apparently. Luckily my wonderful partner is a "proper Doctor" so it's her discount we use.

Thank you for the delicious food and mostly to Sasha who gave us outstanding customer service - she was professional, kind, courteous and came across really intelligent - not to mention her great eyeliner. I’d give this girl a raise as she is outstanding.

Absolutely shocking customer service. Ordered a take away. Chips were cold, order Houmous but they just packed the bread, chicken was also cold and tasteless. Easily the worst Nando I have tasted. A lot of money to say for such rubbish food and they couldn’t even get the order right. Suggest you get a manager who knows how to actually manage this place properly and check the delivery to make sure everything has been added to the bag

Pre ordered takeaway all went fine til we opened the food Watta bland meal - chicken dry - fries - dry loaded wedges - dry The only bit that was ok were the olives !! 80 quid meal I may as well gone to kfc

Awful experience. Visited restaurant as a foursome, ordered food together, 2 mains came, then nothing, nothing. Our friends had ate their meal, still nothing. Tried to ask a waiter for assistance, wasnt interested, made my way up to counter to complain, spoke to manager and was told she couldn't control which meals come out in which order. I was flabbergasted, raised my voice to express disgust. got my money back and sat back down for friends to finish their drinks. 15 mins later THE POLICE ARRIVED, POLICE VAN, POLICE CAR , 4 OFFICERS to escort me from premises. They had been told that I was causing a Public Order Offence. Broken Ice machine, Broken Yoghurt machine, Torn seats, horrible service. Sorry but nando's only appeal to younger generation who don't give a damn about quality of service, poor surroundings. All 4 of us are over 50 years old. Had fish and chips on way home from Best Chippy Zanfish, superb quality and great value for money. AVOID AVOID NANDO'S

This is a great place to eat and to join up with your family or friends.I had the chicken burger with chips and it was spot on.however, my Nan ordered a chicken wrap and the chips and the wrap were cold;but Tasha was very helpful and intrigued to help us;in the end we got a refund on the wrap. The frozen yogurt machine was empty at the I went up to get some, but I did inform a member of staff( I believe it was the manager) and she refilled it.while she refilled it,as it took 5 or 10 minutes to turn into frozen yogurt, the manger offered me a free gelado pot. I strongly recommended this place as the service is very good and the food is also very good( when it’s warm😂)strong 10/10

Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was very fast with our main meal ready 5 minutes after ordering. Food was really tasty but definitely overpriced for what is basically oven chips and chicken with peri peri marinade.

Yes its a fast food chain and know some don’t like that and yes theres only 2 veggie main options (for us) but they are the ones we like. Each time we come to the Burton branch we get treated really respectfully, with great service and polite manner, anything they can to help - cant say same i’m afraid for Derbion branch. Shout out to Christie today for service with a smile to our table, and for Josh at the till as when i wanted something different from menu and wasn’t able to provide, was extremely well versed, polite and explained why (again unlike Derbion branch, who were rude) to which i fully understood and was happy. Food was excellent with per head of £11 inc drinks. Will be going again very soon 😋😋😋

Food was fresh and hot also Waitress Lucy was helpful and very accommodating. Only downside was that there were no halloumi sticks

Visited here whilst on a business trip for a quick lunch. There 7 of us and the food came so fast! Always know what you're getting with Nando's and the staff were very pleasant! Only think I am upset about (not to do with this particular Nando's) is that it seems Nando's have got rid of their plain mayo and replaced it with Vegan mayo which really isn't good :( Please bring it back!!

Haven't visited a nandos in a little while - food's pretty good as always, new(ish) restaurant is a cool space and the music playlist is a bonus. Asked if we knew how to order- I'm aware its a walk up order system but opted for the QR code at table. Ordered a sharing starter and some mains - but the server decided to clear our unfinished starters when she presented our mains. I objected and was handed back the olives but we obviously weren't entitled to finish the hallumi or hummus?! Felt rushed and it was very quiet on an afternoon mid week service.

Superb service and food. The shop was extremely clean and tidy. Nandos always delivers these standards. I'll be back next week.

I haven’t been to a Nando’s for about 9-10 years, and randomly thought we would give it a go. We were firstly slightly disappointed that we couldn’t book, I’m 38 weeks pregnant, so just wanted to know whether I’d be able to get a table after we drove there. But when we did get there roughly 4pm, there were quite a few tables. A lady came and sat us down quite quickly, she was the only staff member wearing a mask, which is up to the discretion of staff and the business, but my point is that I appreciated that member of staff! She also gave us a lovely table (33) which was on a sofa kind of table, so was really comfy for me. She explained how to order, and that if we had any issues that they were there to help. The food came out after about 15 mins of ordering. It was DELICIOUS!! Honestly was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while - me and my husband have already discussed when we will be returning. They seemed short staffed, the amount of tables left with dirty plates on, but it’s well known that hospitality are struggling at the moment so we stacked our plates, and left when we were ready. Some people left such a mess for the staff :0 But a big thank you to the staff member who sat us, and took care of us at table 33, January 31st roughly 4pm, you were lovely :) sorry we didn’t catch your name

Heard a lot about Nandos. Called in one late afternoon midweek. First table we were shown too had a very off putting stained length of material seating, sauces or drink dried on, most unsavoury looking. Having moved away went to order food. Surprisingly they had no beer or wine available aside from Rose. Free water though. Food much better than expected but tired upholstery and poor supplies detracted from a good experience.

Have been a few times now and food is pretty consistent. Bar the time where they ran out of Halloumi in the middle of a Saturday shift and one where we waited over an hour to get a seat (we should have booked), our family do like to go there. As veggies they have 3 different burger options and many sides, it’s delivered pretty quickly usually and refill drinks makes everything easy. For 4 of us I paid just under £50 and would have been 10% off if family remembered their nhs card! Will be going again

Went in on spec at a quiet time. Needed a table for 9 and were sorted out straight away. Kids given colouring and stuff to do so we're happy. Ordering no issue and food was very quick. Also the food was very tasty and we all really enjoyed it. Might just be a Nandos but it was really good hence the 5 stars.

We went here on a Saturday evening. It was busy and we were told we would have to wait for about 15 minutes for a table. We decided to order take away instead.

We like Nando’s. We really do. But to wait over 20 minutes for a take away the other night was far too long. When we got it home there was a portion of chips missing, and the pita had no salad in it. We will eat in next time - maybe when it isn’t busy

We went for my son in laws birthday last November. Personally, I found the food and the drinks grossly overpriced for something that traditionally is made with the cheapest of ingredients

Wonderful experience, great food, decent pricing and fast service, friendly and helpful staff, clean and well-ordered restaurant with lovely decor and a lively atmosphere. Frequently come here with family and friends and have yet to experience a single problem. Would highly recommend to others.

A perfect place for a family lunch. Excellent quality food, you know what to expect and we have never been disappointed. The food is great and the kids really get involved in mealtime there. Highly recommend, excellent facilities.

It’s with deep regret that I am needing to write this review but I feel that it is defiantly worth bringing to you attention the treatment I have experienced at this restaurant for you to address these issues.

Staff are helpful if not a little forgetful sometimes. Probably not the best Nandos I've been to but it is in Burton, so that said its good enough.

Nando’s is great if you want something quick, fairly priced and tasty. I’ve visited this particular restaurant on many occasions and have always found the staff to be friendly, smiley and helpful. The food has always been served quickly and I’ve never had an issue with it. It’s not a place I would go for a special occasion dinner but somewhere we often visit for a quick lunch.

Frequent visitor to Nando’s, always received good service and especially did on our visit tonight (1st August) friendly, helpful staff especially the tall man that seated us to our table and the blonde haired lady on the till, quick food service, did not have to wait long before receiving our food which was a highly enjoyable meal

We like Nando's as no matter where you are in the country you can rely on a good standard from here, and this Burton on Trent location is no exception.

Pretty disappointed. Ordered two of the same starters but only received one. When we queried this was told abruptly "you will have to go up to the counter and order another one then." Surely our order should have been read back to us. Young lad taking the order probably couldn't have heard us over the loud music. Asked for a vegan pitta burger. Specified NO mayo and stated vegan upon ordering. Luckily when food came I checked before taking a big bite as the pitta had loads of mayo. Was given free chips to eat whilst they remade my food (good service) but staff need more training and need to pay attention even when restaurant is busy. I love me some Nandos but overall not a great experience sadly.

Lovely evening ending with good food service by lovely staff. They catered for dietary requirements and were friendly. Small place but cosy! Lovely evening out!

Nandos is nandos. You pretty much know what to expect and i love how you can either go super healthy or super naughty here.

Nando's ist ein riesiges Gebaeude neben dem Kino. Mann muss sich das Besteck das leider sehr dreckig ist, selber holen. Die Portionen sind sehr klein aber auch lecker daswegen empfehle ich es euch als Snack. Ich glaube das die Organic Milk garkeine ist. Jedoch bekommt man sehr leckere Sides. Die Wing Platte lohnt sich gar nicht fuer mehrere Personen den die Portionen sind sehr klein.

Table of eight, age range 12-98 years, value for money good, chicken was nice, it is a bit difficult to calculate what sides to get, we managed pretty well in the end, the Pinot Grigio was just less than £20 a bottle, bit on the expensive side, the food came pretty quickly considering how busy they were, we had a good time by virtue of the company, but would have preferred a bit better service and the music is TOO LOUD! actually asked if it could be turned down but reply was " no that's just not possible" what a load of rubbish that is.

Having never been to a Nandos before I was expecting wow. Instead I got overpriced chicken. Maybe the price also includes service, what service. Don't get me wrong we were seated to our table by a very pleasant lady but that was it. You have to go to the counter to order your food and the cheapest drink is the bottomless so you get given an empty glass which you have to fill yourself. The food was very average. I rarely do fast food but the fries at McDonald's are nicer and hotter. Certainly won't be rushing back

Me and my partner have visited here a number of times since it opened and haven't been disappointed. Staff are always welcoming and friendly and the food is always of good quality. I feel that there is a good choice of food for most people. I like the interior, layout and cleanliness. Toilets are also clean.

Always good food even veggi options even if you do pay more , but Iam biassed because I like hot suace that dosn't compromise on taste. Service is ok can take a while for the food to turn up it is always fresh and I love nando's sauce so it is in my books worththe wait

We were bought a voucher as a wedding present and so visited a place we would never have chosen to eat.

Food arrived in 15 minutes from ordering. Nice to see enough staff on. Great tasty food. Everyone had a clean plate. Brill.

First time in Nando's. We came as a large group from work so pre-ordered. We then paid at the till for what we ordered, and paid for unlimited soft drinks. I felt that the highlight of the place is the different sauces on offer and not much else. I had salad and side of sweet potato wedges. Not enjoyed either, the salad is mainly lettuce so left half of it, the sweet potatoes were not cooked properly. The layout and the ordering system reminds me of a canteen. Sorry, not converted.

I don't usually post reviews like this but I wanted to warn future visitors:- walked in about 2pm & waited by the 'paystation' to be seated, was ignored by at least three staff, not even a 'We'll be with you in a moment'. Finally got seated and passed a dirty menu. Made my choice & waited, & waited, & waited, caught the eye of a waitress who was brushing food remnants off the seats with a floor brush, who ignored me. So got up & left! After speaking to others, apparently you order at the counter!! No instruction, no mention on the menu, no sign saying please order here,(I had plenty of time to look around!) the most conversation was 'Is this ok?' when I was shown my table. POOR, VERY POOR. Won't be visiting again.

Came here for a 'quick' late lunch on Thursday. There was one other table in except for us and the food took almost half an hour. We could see the staff all standing round having a chat and nothing on the grill. Food eventually arrived...although not together and we were only a party of two! We had to chase up one meal and it miraculously appeared 30 seconds later.

Called for dinner after Cinema - wished I'd gone to Bella Italia next door.

Not previously a fan of Nandos their restaurant in Burton upon Trent changed our opinion. Although a standard menu the crew were helpful and very cheerful; especially Trisha. We both had chicken off the bone with 2 regular sides. Juicy chicken and cooked just as I like it. Don't forget to choose your Nata (Portuguese custard tart) when you order your main course as they tend to run out early on. Unlimited soft drinks for 2.60 are excellent value.

I visited here today with my family, it was a Saturday lunchtime, we were seated straightaway and drinks order taken. We then ordered our meals, it didn't seem long before they came out, all really nice portion sizes, all piping hot. One waitress seemed to serving, seating and doing payments but she was doing a great job and didn't look flustered. We've eaten here before at the Burton branch and can't fault it. It's clean and food is great.

I can not get enough of this place . It never fails and that's why we came for a family meal . As always staff are on the ball and friendly . Chris was charming and helpful and gave great service along with jarred he helped explain how nandos works to my grandad who never been before and I think he cooked some of the food but it was all great and so was all the staff but could only remember their names .. I think I'm getting addicted lol

Ive been to loads of nandos in my time and they are good but burton are a level up. My half chicken just looked and tasted crisp , golden and so inviting. Credit to jarred on th3 grills who was friendly when I was ordering and let me know there was a small wait on chicken but it was worth the wait . I think what stands out here is how friendly the staff are and always looking to help or get you extra things like my mayo. Katherine and jack was particularly friendly and had a giggle with them but all staff are a credit to the manager. Love coming here when im in town and no doubt I will be back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE !!!!. that can not be stressed enough . If you like chicken then look no further, great quality food that's fresh .. burton is a great looking restaurant with good friendly staff . It's not the biggest nandos but hay burton is a small town. It's clean and tidy every time I visit which is most weeks . And the food tastes great . If you fancy something different then try their prego steak roll it's to die for .. good quality meat that melts the mouth . I have mine medium overall it's one of the beat chains going that really look to make your meal a special one . It does get busy and there can be waits sometimes for food but you can expect that for freshly cooked food . I would recommend to anyone only thing I would say is possibly more selection of soft drinks but I do like my mixing syrups like a vanilla coke etc but that's being picking for a mid range restaurant you can't go wrong . I've not yet tried the takeaway service yet lol

The staff are always extremely pleasant and helpful. With youngsters in our party the food available caters for all requirements, is freshly cooked and nicely presented

First visit to a Nandos and overall it was pretty good. Wouldn't leap out as overly memorable but the food was fine the service good and the choice and costs reasonable. First time visiting here in Burton. Food & customer service were excellent.

I am a Nando's addict but I have given up with Burton - I have been on 4 occasions and each time they haven't had something I want to order. Last time I went in to give them a last chance as they were advertising the new menu outside only for me to be told they didn't have what I wanted. It was a sharing platter with 4 sides and as one of the sides wasn't in store they wouldn't do the platter even though I said I'd happily change the one side to something else. Poor really, I'll take my service elsewhere.

Food was good didn't really see a server till our food came 50 mins after ordering. Spice on mine and my wifes was wrong so got a new one for her in 15 mins,I just added extra extra hot sauce to mine. All in all slow food for such a small place but staff friendly as you like and who can turn their nose up at free coke refills

me and my mates went to for a Nandos for my birthday earlier this year we wanted to see what it was all about we didn't have to wait long for an arrival and we just walked in which was really good the waitress was lovely and very helpful and polite we all enjoyed our meals and had a great time thanks guys for a great birthday

I really don't understand what people see in Nando's! It is just a lot if dry bland chicken!! I first went to Nando's in London and I hated it. However since it was so popular across the country I decided to give it another go once I was in Derby but once again: awful! The only reason is popular it is because it is in England where gastronomy has never been their forte. There is no way this restaurant would be any popular in countries such as France, Italy or Spain where they know what good food is.

Was in Burton and fancied a quick bit to eat. Thought we would goto Nandos. 2 Drinks. I had Butterfly chicken which consisted of 1 Small Chicken Breast, Chips and Small pot of Slaw. My Girlfriend had a chicken burger meal, corn on cob and chips.

we had a birthday party last night at nandos in burton and it was really good stuff , the food was great and staff was friendly , they even sang happy birthday for us as well as give our kids ballons. we really enjoyed it and waiter jack was particulary friendly. he left us a card with his name on and the cooks jared . but the whole staff made our evening special , thanks so much

After having more than one bad visit at my local Nandos in Derby, my partner and I use the Burton Nandos instead. I say we've been roughly around 5/6 times since it open and each time the service is excellent and the food is spot on. On the particular occasion ( I believe it was Saturday 20th) we ordered some chicken wings as a starter using our Nandos reward card. We were told there was going to be a 20 minute wait which we were more than happy to wait for. After waiting around 25 minute the cook came over with some garlic bread and apologised for the delay and said it was going to be a further 10 minutes. I know this sounds like I'm writing a negative review here but we actually were really happy with the level of customer service. We were told about the wait, kept informed and the cook even come over after his shift finished to apologised once more- which was a nice touch. The quality of food was amazing as always- special mention to Chris P he was so polite and is a credit to your restaurant! Be back soon :)

Understandably still fairly new restaurant in current location. Standard of food strangely different from the Nandos 10 miles away in Derby. Something not quite right. Second time being served strange looking chicken although the sauces taste the same. Some staff unfriendly but generally everyone trying their best in customer care. Won't be going back in a hurry. Perhaps give is a 2 year miss. Will definitely be going to the Derby Nandos.

Always loved Nandos. I love the atmosphere at this one though.. very relaxed and not too busy with it not being city centre based. Have a brownie for dessert! Really very nice!!!

Nando's is a great alternative to a burger for fast food. When we have been there and not had fast food, we have been given a voucher for a discount on our next visit. We did return, and service was back to normal. Food is good value, everyone leaves full and happy. The only downside is the queue for orders when it's busy - it can be a really long wait even with a short queue.

We went last Saturday early evening for a meal before going to the cinema next door. We had not made a booking but was greeted by a very pleasant and helpful waitress who showed us to a table, either inside or outside, explained the menu and made suggestions as it was our first visit. The meal was excellent, well presented,very tasty and reasonably priced.

it is a new venue, new for Burton , chicken dishes are generally good, staff friendly. It is a place to visit as an option if you do not feel like going to other food.

Visited Nandos on 20th June at 4pm. Got seated, decided on our meals - chicken thighs. Went up to order, told it would be a 20 minute wait by waitress which we accepted. However, as we were giving the rest of our order, the manager whispered in her ear that there was no room to put the thighs in to cook so would be a lot longer wait. We decided this was unacceptable and left as we had things to do. Nandos which sells mainly chicken - did not have any chicken to give! It would have been better to make this information known to us as we were seated. Shame because we've always been pleased with our visits. We went to the restaurant next door and had their chicken.

A great favourite of ours and we visit it regularly. We always enjoy the quality and quick service and great atmosphere to eat. The staff are great and for a reasonably cheap meal you can't beat a cheeky Nandos.

I visited Nando's with my husband and 2 young children. On entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted by our server Liam H, who directed most of his chat to our 3 year old who took great delight that he got to choose our table!!!

This was the first time that we have been to the Burton Nandos. The décor is quite nice, the restaurant is clean, and it was reasonably quiet in the restaurant today.
