We have a takeaway from Al Helal most Fridays. The service is efficient and friendly and the food is top restaurant quality. I cannot recommend them enough. They work so hard to ensure you have a wonderful takeaway experience.
Wow. Popped into here on a Thursday night on my own, super cheery and polite. Walked up the bar with my wallet open ready to buy a pint and the old fella behind the bar gives me a smile. Before buying my pint I said: "Hello mate! I've parked my van in the little car park over the road, do you think I'll be alright for the night?"
His face turns from ruddy friendliness to the suppresed rage of the Shropshire elderly gentleman. "You're not sleeping there?". "I was thinking to, yeah". "You're not sleeping there, no."
"Oh OK not to worry I'll move it".
I cross the road and jump in my van and drive up the road to park up (totally legally) at the kerbside. At this point the old fella comes out of the pub, red faced with fury.
"you're not parking there."
"Mate, with respect you don't own this bit of road, if I want to park here I can"
"Well you're not coming in my pub".
A staggeringly hostile interaction with an unbelievably unpleasant man. Do yourself a favour and spend your money somewhere less disgustingly aggressive.
Excellent food, friendly efficient service. We were a party of 8, we had various side orders, breads, rices and curries and all really enjoyed our food. It could not have been better. Prices were reasonable but being BYOB too made it brilliant value for money.
The staff were OK but there felt like there was a grumpy atmosphere. I wouldn't go back it just felt unwelcoming. We only had one drink and left. Good to try, nothing at all wrong with the drinks just don't want to feel attitude from staff when I'm in a place
We visit this Cafe often and have never had cause for complaint. Unfortunately, Saturday 3rd. May changed this, My Husband and I took our Granddaughter for brunch, It wasn't busy at all so we thought it wouldn't take long, We waited over half an hour for the food which we could accept as you have to allow for this sometimes.
We ordered brunch with bread and butter and when it arrived we asked for vinegar, we waited and waited and half way through our meal we had to ask a passing waiter again, moments later the waiter, a person with red/black hair came over with the vinegar and plonked it on the table as the waiter turned to leave , My husband asked if he could swap one the crust of bread (as neither of us like the crust) for a normal bread, The waiter literally turned round without the crust and walked of shaking their head on the way, and then never returned, It was rude and disrespectful and will certainly make us think twice before going there again.
I was so looking forward to eating here, heard so much about it. Mothers day booking. 3 of us ate. When we walked in, I observed how large and bright the restaurant was (7.45pm booking). Our table was in the middle, and so felt a little like a canteen, with the lighting quite bright, it did not feel like a special evening meal.
We started with poppadom's, we did not ask for the chutney tray, but it was delivered and charged for. (no other restaurant has ever charged us for this). I did see it was on the menu at a cost of £2.50. But we did not order it.
The food was very nice, quality of the chicken was really nice, probably some of the best I have ever eaten.
While we were eating I received an email from the restaurant saying, while they appreciate plans can change, it would have been appreciated if we could not make the reservation to give them notice. We were literally sitting in the restaurant eating!!!!
Overall, I felt the restaurant lacked atmosphere, service and all the waiting staff gave an atmosphere of being rushed, and overall I felt it was a little on the pricey side.
I probably would not re visit, and use a more local restaurant. I was disappointed with our visit here.

Generous portions, almost instantanious service. There are a few parking spaces outside the shop. However, everything was pre-cooked and sitting on the counter, waiting to be ordered. Fish and chips was too oily and overcooked. Chips did have a large portion, yet was quite dry and chewy.
What a great place in Wellington, the food is always hot and plentiful and the staff are amazing. We often call in one our way home from work and everyone makes us feel very special. Kelly always as a smile and a friendly word for us. May also is so friendly and knowledge about the menu.
Definitely a place to try whether as a couple for tea or a family occasion.

The customer service is atrocious. I called to order some naan for collection, but I couldn’t understand the employee as he spoke very little English. When I asked for the price, he rudely cut off my call. Upon arriving at the store to pick up my order, he handed me the bag and ignored me when I tried to ask about the price, walking to the back instead. I had to go to a separate counter for checkout, which he didn’t inform me about, a fellow customer had to tell me. When I got home, I realized my order was incorrect, with some items missing. Really bad service overall.
We visited for a Valentines Night meal and had a great experience. Staff very friendly and provide excellent service, the food is first class with great presentation and the venue itself is clean and tidy with the restaurant being spacious. We will certainly be returning
