Good to see the place open again. Just starting up so needs to be supported.

Great location with views over the river. We were seated outside under a canopy on a bench table with no back, so not too comfortable. The food was fresh and delicious and service friendly and efficient.

A beautiful hotel, with excellent service. Very friendly and beautifully decorated.

Had a lovely meal fish chips was amazing ,warm and welcoming family .

Food good but unbelievably expensive! £26 for a small portion of hake on a Friday lunchtime after which my daughter was still hungry. I had steak onclet, which was cooked well and was £22. Glass of house red ( Tentuta) good and fairly priced. Will not return to eat as they have priced themselves out of the market.

It’s lovely, proper standards of service. Gluten free available, including Fish n Chips. Takeaway lunch’s available.

We arrived late with no booking and they were able to seat us outside. The food was fantastic and the service was just as good. Highly recommend. We had all vegan food

Fantastic! Absolutely superb food. There was 11 of us (5 children) and we all had delicious food. I'm surprised this place has any negative reviews, we couldn't fault it! Two steaks cooked to perfection, pork belly was divine, fish and chips amazing and cleared plates from all the kids. Wonderful service and atmosphere. Highly recommend and will definitely return if we visit the area again. Keep it up guys, you're doing a wonderful job!

We stayed at a local BB only eating at the hotel. Very good food really nice staff We are there 2 nights out of three.

A friend booked a table for 14 of us, the service was excellent and the food was lovely. I will definitely be going there next time I'm in the area.

Tucked away in the back lanes of Cornwall, this is an eclectic and vibrant venue for lunch. I can see that during tourist seasons, it’s essential to book to ensure you’ll get a table but Slice was able to accommodate our walk-in even though it was busy. Brilliant food with an excellent mix of veggie and meat-based options. I wasn’t able to do my main course full justice due to my limited ability to eat due to cancer recovery. Despite my pleas not to, the team insisted on deducting the cost of my main course from the bill - a hugely generous and empathetic gesture, and a sign of just how friendly and welcoming the Slice team is. So a very big thankyou to all the folks at Slice and I’ll definitely be back to scoff a full lunch when I’m fully recovered.

Came to the tandoori today not my first time and as always the food was amazing. Service outstanding. Drinks loveky as well. Opal was a great host much recommend I will be back.

Popped in at 4.30pm on a Tuesday and it was buzzing. Mainly locals, which is always a good sign; all friendly, especially our dog, who received lots of attention. The staff were friendly, and the beer was kept well, with four choices. It's not more than 5 minutes from the local Wetherspoons, so it's great to see people there. It has a real community feel to the place, definitely going back.
