Really great! Food, service, nice pub. Great!

Loved this place. What a gem. Food was amazing. They were welcoming and we will come back if we are in the area again.

Food was okay, priced about right.

Popped in for lunch . Although the staff were really polite and friendly, I was not impressed with my meal at all , had the steak and ale pie . But no chunks of meat could be found. Just very tiny bits of meat . More like soup with pastry on top. It was meant to be home made. Taste was limited. Veg was rock hard and inedible. Not for me I’m afraid.

Not planned to have dinner here, but wow so worth stopping. Probably the best fish (battered in Tribute Ale) and chips (handcrafted) I have ever had. Chose not to have peas, instead a beautiful summer salad and the most creamiest coleslaw. A fresh,home made taste. Definitely worth a stop for a pint of Guinness.

Great place. Rob the landlord was welcoming. Food was delicious especially the chips.. lovely garden to relax in.

Limited menu, slow service, dining area taken over by local men just to watch the football which then stopped us buying a dessert and staying longer

Very good food that arrived quickly and was piping hot, friendly staff and fair prices. I personally reccomend the steak and ale pie with chips which was thoroughly delicious. My wifr had Scampi and chips, whih was also very good. I think the chips deserve a mention... They are... VERY good ! My only reason for not giving 5 stars for atmosphere is the live sport on the TV in the dining area... No one was watching it, it just feels a little intrusive, but if you like sport, then hey... I'm not your judge eh ? We will certainly be back again.

Writing this as I'm having a half pint Tribute to wash lunch down. Unfortunately I am driving so a second pint out of the question for me. What a good pint, well kept and obviously clean glasses looking at the "lacing" a really nice sandwich and superb chips. Many thanks, we are back to Looe now then home to Dartmouth on Friday. However rest assured if passing this way we will be coming in.

Small pub, good facilities, friendly staff

Absolutely love it here the food is fresh and so tasty, chips are fabulous. I go here a lot with friends and family. Staff are so lovely and your always greeted with a smile. Very homily vibe. Definitely recommend

Exceptionally good service, food and overall experience. This is a family run business and deserves patronising. Our group of four all had different dishes and all four were exceptionally good. The Chicken New Yorker that I had was really good. The place was busy with really friendly ambience and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great little village pub. Seems to cater to locals mostly as you'd expect. The women's world cup final was on so it was packed with no where to sit except outside on the smokers bench. That's fine, or was in a nice shady place so we ate in comfort. We had cheeseburger and chips alongside ham egg and chips. The cheeseburger was really nice and the chips were like canoes which was fun. We only had OJ & lemonade and a cola so can't comment on the beers, but there were a number of pumps in use serving local as well as global brands. Def recommend.

Great meal, service, atmosphere and drinks. Child friendly, lovely decor, outdoor area (although sat inside as have been out all day), helpful staff: fab find for dinner! Fish (amazingly fresh!) and chips (very tasty!) thoroughly enjoyed by me and the children. Would recommend!

Such a decent pub for a bar meal. Staff friendly. Food arrived nicely presented at reasonable prices. What more could you ask for.

In vacanza per 10 giorni, approdiamo in questo piccolo paesino e decidiamo di fermarci per la cena ed una birra prima di ritornare nei nostri alloggi. Il posto è accogliente, amichevole e cortese. Il cibo è fantastico ed il locale è pulitissimo. Raccomando a chiunque abbia voglia di vivere un'esperienza gioviale e rilassante questo posto che, i ragazzi che ci hanno accolto, hanno reso ancora più memorabile e piacevole. Grazie

Whilst we live locally this was our first visit to the Dolphin Inn, after it had been recommended to us. We were made to feel very welcome and sat outside as it was lovely weather. We both had the burger and chips, which was really tasty.

One of the best vegan cheese burgers I've had. Food and atmosphere are fantastic!

Called into the Dolphin Inn on the way back from Heligan on the off chance. A lovely welcoming pub. Comfortable, a bit quirky. Excellent food very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend it.

Great little pub. We didn’t eat but fantastic looking food. Also can’t praise the landlord Neil enough for giving us a lift back after struggling with taxis. Recommend for their beer, hospitality and friendliness. Some great friendly locals too. Thanks guys!!

The food was absolutely superb but it was a shame that children were unable to use the pool table or be in that room as it meant thr rest of us (parent/grandparents) were unable to play as well. The parking was very cramped as well.

This place is amazing!😁 The staff are so friendly & have a really good knowledge of food allergies & try their best to give you a wonderful meal along side their regular menu which is also very delicious😁 We were really happy with the very enjoyable evening we spent at the Dolphin 🐬 Inn😁

We only discovered this pub in 2022 living locally and now it’s become a firm favourite for family get togethers and meals. It’s good pub food at fantastic prices and there is something on the menu for everyone in our group including 6-70 year olds and vegetarian options. It’s not fancy food but it’s fresh, cooked and presented well. I highly recommend the Chicken New Yorker and the chips are amazing. My girls would like to request a brownie dessert on the menu please!! Staff are so friendly and accommodating, highly recommend

We booked here as a group of 9 during half term . We had few issues with finding their current menu online , as we have a vegetarian in our group, and needed to see what was avaliable for her. The food was great, good sized portions and all brought out quickly together. Very reasonably priced and the menu catered well for our mixed group aged 11 up to 80. Friendly helpful team and chatty locals. Great little pub that we will definately visit again .

What a wonderful surprise going to the Dolphin Inn was. Driven past it many many times but last week got an opportunity to have lunch there. Car park is far bigger than you would expect. The pub is fabulous inside and the proprietors are just lovely. The best ham, egg and chips ever!!!

Great village pub.Nice and friendly lads behide the bar.Rang up to see if we could have a table for 9..No problem. Plenty to choice of meals. The mushroom and thyme pie to die for. Completely all satisfied with the food.That good went back again.If down that way in will be popping in again Dog friendly aswell

Quick meal last night while driving through the village, food excellent, friendly service, however a very long wait which prevented me giving full marks

One word describes the food here - AWFUL. Only go here if you are happy to have your main meal 2 hours after the booking time. Manager was arrogant in the extreme, under staffed. Trades descriptions act could be levied at the "King Prawn Marinara Tagliatelle" - NO king prawns in sight (small supermarket ones) and since when were chillies a part of this dish!. The "fresh egg pasta" might have been fresh (but NOT homemade) an hour before serving but had been left waiting so long it was dried out. Would give 0 stars if possible.

We were on holiday visiting family and had an impromptu lunch, it was so good we booked an evening meal for our last night together. Food was excellent, chips are the best I've had plus the manager/bar staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be the first stop when we come back to Cornwall next year

Visited the Dolphin several times last weekend during visit to the Sticker show. Great welcome, good beer and even better pub grub.

Leuke pub waar je prima kunt eten en er een lekkere pint bier bij kunt drinken. Het is typisch pub food maar wel vers bereid en smaakvol. De bediening is prima en de prijs kwaliteit verhouding ook.

A group of 7 of us called in for coffee before walking in the area and then came in for lunch (all pre-booked). They were really helpful and happy to have our dogs in the bar. We all enjoyed our lunches including soup, fish and chips, prawn cocktail etc. All were good portions, well presented and all delicious. The service was really good and friendly. Well worth a visit.

Lovely atmosphere and was nice to see a pub with the traditional pub decor and vibe. Between 4 of us we had 2x burgers, fish & chips and hunters chicken. The chips were delicious and the meals were pretty good portions other than my hunters chicken - the plate looked a little bare when it came out and could have done with a little salad on the side. Certainly wouldn’t stop us returning again.

Nice friendly pub with very reasonably priced drinks. Can't speak for the food as didn't eat there but it was a comfortable place to be for a meeting. Phobe signal not the best in Grampound so l was surprised there didn't seem to be any wifi

Good selection of Ale and good menu. I would recommend the Crab salad a proper portion. Enjoyed our selves at the quiz night and always a warm welcome from behind the bar.

Happened by this place and it's a gem! Parking to the rear is limited but not so crammed you cannot open the doors. The garden is as good as they could make it, and at the top few tables you get late evening sun (in August). The owner served us, a young bloke who was happy to accommodate some less easy requests for food, which was superb pub-grub. It was a meal that left your tummy groaning and food on the plate. Price was great for the food quality and fab service. Had they had an option on the card machine I would of tipped, but I rarely carry cash so they missed out. They had a quiz night going on which packed the place out, he also told me they have a band in the week too. A must visit! Don't go gastro-chain, do yourself a favour and go local - you will not regret it here. . .

We stumbled on this pub after leaving the Eden Project. What a lovely find! The interior of the pub is great - loved the guitars and lamp! Staff were super friendly. Sadly we only had a sandwich lunch - but it was great! Would have loved to have had a full meal.

We are here on holiday and have visited this great pub twice now, once for lunch and also an evening meal. Its a family run pub that offers great service along with good food and a selection of ales, lagers and ciders.

We stopped for lunch here and were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food. I ordered the Cornish dressed crab while my daughter had the mushroom pie. Everything was fresh and well made.

Lovely meal food cooked to a high standard and home cooked. The scampi was the best my husband has ever tasted and I was served a fish burger that wasn't on the menu but was offered when asked. The Apple pie we had was delicious and everything was well presented.

The calamari starter was something else man. Absolutely gorgeous. Best ever had. And look how much it comes with for just a starter. Delicious. Enjoyed the waffle and hunters chicken too. Lovely people. Lovely atmosphere. They gave my dog a treat each time we visited. So nice man. :)
