We only had 3 kids meals as wanted something light had kids burger kids nuggets and fish gougens the best I've had anywhere and the staff and service are first class will be back

Absolute Gem of a Freehouse pub. Made very welcome by the Landlord, Charlie and the family. Food only at the weekends. The quintessential village pub!

We were the only ones there on a Saturday night . Very limited menu . The soup tasted like it came from a can and only 2 choices of dessert . Both didn’t taste nice . Will definitely not be going there again .

Hidden gem, can't believe I've never been here before. The food was spectacular, including the vegan options. The staff were so attentive and friendly, it was like being waited on by family. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be going back

Ordered takeaways and was blown over by how good the food was. We had only veggie options with starters and mains and it was so tastey. Have already been back! The staff are so very accomodating and helpful.

Avoid at all cost I ordered a full English breakfast when it arrived I went and asked if it was a full English as it was so small I would have been embarrassed to have served it, well over priced I mean very... for what you got to eat not a good eating out experience , could of gone to McDonald's after as was still hungry!!!!!!

Visited the Market Taven with friends on a Saturday evening. It's cosy and pleasantly decorated. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food was terrible, I had the sausage and mash, which resembled a microwave meal, bland, tasteless and luke warm.The menu is quite small and looks lazy. The tables are tiny, we had to use an empty table next to us to accommodate our sides and drinks.. Really is a shame! As the Taven has the potential to be great... Would I recommend or revisit? No...

A classic old country pub that serves great food in a warm friendly village atmosphere. The host, Steve and all the staff are very welcoming and it is a go to place for a relaxing drink or meal. Well done!

Delicious katsu chicken burger! The staff catered really well for our large group, the food came out on time and hot. Would definitely recommend and will be coming here again!

My son lives in the village and he treated me and hubby to a meal for mother's day. Service and meal were excellent. Good sized portions all round. Lovely cosy family run pub and will definitely visit again

Lovely staff excellent tasty food. Good views of the river. Warm ambience. Have been hear many times never disappointed.
