Pub dating from 16th-c, one-bar pub with beams and real fire, good sized garden at rear. It is situated near to the market square. Known for its pub quizzes and community spirit. Good range of bottled beer.

This little charming pub is an absolute gem and something very different than the usual Inns that we've seen. Staff on the bar - amazing. Reasonable prices. Lovely garden and yeah wow So homey that we could stay there all night..honest. Absolutely love it.

We went a beer festival on a Saturday night. There were lots of people inside and out the back. Beer and atmosphere great. Only criticism is that they did not provide any portaloos and there was only one Ladies toilet, so I and my friend spent much of the evening queuing up for the toilet.

Great visit with friends to the beer festival. Large choice of beer, good variety and all well kept. Best beef burgers I've ever had! Huge 8oz butchers burgers, well cooked in a proper bread bun, onions and chilli relish, EXCELLENT! Just ate it and forgot to take a photo, sorry! Music later was good although we were inside by then. Good event, well done to all the staff.

We love the Bear. Always an easy natural welcome. Some lovely beers and a woodburner to thaw out cold feet and hands. My kind of pub.

It was ok but only because we were with some locals, the beer was alright. They don't sell food so I wouldn't recommend it for a family outing.

First time here in 20 years. I know pubs are dying and despite really nice service you could feel this place dying too. The big screen that dominates the small pub is possibly necessary to drag people in but makes the whole place feel very dispiriting.

Bar staff were absolutely amazing, extremely accomodating, friendly and fast service even with a full pub!

When I lived in Wilton this was my local public house, the interior has remained the same but now the garden is open in the summer, nice place for a meal / drink.

Nice atmosphere for a small pub normally filled with locals and friendly staff. Well behaved children allowed until 9:30 and there is a smoking/beer garden out the back. Has a big TV for sports, news and has toilets. Haven't tried the food personally but I've heard good things.

A very small, old-school pub. It's Free house so nice ales. Definitely frequented by older clientele.

Probably the best local pub ever. Always a decent pint - or a fancy gin if that's your thing (it is mine - Opihr is great). Big games of football or rugby are usually on telly (but TV is off otherwise), and bands and other entertainment such as quizzes take place quite often.
