Charlies cafe in Wiltshire

A nice looking place - super clean and very well decorated Menu is extensive and ideal for a quick meal or just a hot drink. Only negative is the choice of music! This makes it a difficult place to stay for long if you do not appreciate One Love (original mix). This is club music. Mindless thumping beat and weird sounds sometimes repeated wailing noises. Asked the staff to find different music. Seems not possible. Shame really. That type of music is not to everyone’s taste. If you are the staff and into clubbing it would be fine. But the staff are not the one’s to choose the music!

Great cafe, fast service and Most important good food. Large menu and breakfast all day. I’ll be back for milkshakes. Lots of windows for people watching

Freshly made from scratch All Day Breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed it . I had yummy sausages, well made bacon , hash brown and egg with cooked tomato. Everything was enjoyable and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely breakfast here - great service. I noticed that the customers looked local rather than tourists so I thought this place must be good. It was very clean and the menu had lots of great choices. After ordering the food came very quickly and it tasted great. If you are on the tourist trail get yourself across town to this cafe it will not disappoint

Absolutely beautiful breakfast. The staff are brilliant and went the extra mile preparing "bubble" for me as an alternative to veggie sausage. It was gorgeous. It really was. The place is spotlessly clean, bright and charming. The meals are very good value and very good sided portions. If we didn't live 170 miles away we would be regulars there! X

This is a defo must visit. Staff are very courteous, patient and helpful describing dishes. Will definitely return to try other items on menu as well as their very drinkable cocktails.

We stopped in here to grab take away coffees and were very impressed. The village is quite small, so it was great to see a gorgeous cafe like this in the middle. It was lunchtime and there were people enjoying lunch food and wine. It all looked very delicious. Would definitely call in again and the coffees were great!

Brunch 2 poached eggs on toast, properly cooked in a pan of water rather than in a metal mould, lovely and soft and runny as they should be. Tea served in a teapot!! So stayed nice and hot. Staff attentive, bright, clean and comfortable surroundings. Definitely call again when I take a break from shopping.

What a lovely place this is! Firstly we were greeted at the door with a friendly welcome and shown to a table by the lovely staff and owner. As was every cust. We both ordered a very reasonably priced breakfast. It was absolutely delicious. I would say this is the best cafe/restaurant in Salisbury. Recommended for a lovely value for money meal by lovely friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Xx

Living close by one south of England city famous for its visitors, Winchester in Hampshire, I now often find myself lucky enough to be over at another similar visitor-attracting city, that of Salisbury in Wiltshire..and have sometimes had the rare treat of being able to find time to stop off for coffee or a longer lunch, though not as often as I would like it has to be said. However this week, meeting up with a friend with, happily, time for lunch, we opted for Charlie's Cafe running just alongside the well-known Salisbury Antiques Centre, which I must admit, I hadn't noticed before, but now realising that may be because it is a relatively new operation..! ..and so on a bitterly cold Winters's mid-week day, we decided to try it.. and an inspired choice it was..not least thanks to the two huge wide-screen TVs on the wall each running loops of a delightfully large log fire, which though only cosmetic, had the instant feel of making me feel warmer, that's for sure! 👍 Immediately welcomed by a smiling young member of staff, my friend & I were shown to a clean & bright window table by the door, and after a cursory glance at a pretty enticing menu, our choices were instant and our orders swiftly taken..my friend having an omelette & fries and me, my favourite lunch-time treat when time permits, an all-day breakfast and a coffee. In seemingly just a very short order, both meals arrived..again with a winning smile.. and were well prepared, attractively presented, hot...and very tasty.. and the coffee, if only just a flat-white, was fantastic: hot & creamy..so our lunch meet-up had got off to a flying start! The two meals were indeed as tasty as they looked and the staff were constantly in attendance checking all was well and as a result we both felt very welcome and our custom, albeit fairly basic in our choice of meals, much appreciated! Looking around the location I could instantly see the 'diner' itself was spotless, airy & spacious and very comfortable... and my friend & I very much enjoyed our meals ... and just as importantly, we both felt we were able to take our time over our animated conversation all in a very nice surrounding..and the added bonus for me was that my friend also took care of the bill..as an early birthday present..result! So I am happy to say I can now add another smashing Salisbury eaterie to my mental list of locations to visit when time next permits..and I very much look forward to dropping by Charlie's again when I find I have another free hour or two in the city...thank you so much! 😎

They serves first the local and then the tourist. Our burger was under the warming lamp a lot of time. Finally a girl from the cash went out and take it to us. the food is Good but the service is slow and with no so much attention to the customer. Such a shame cause the food is very Good. Come back for sure if having the double of time to wait….

I had liver and bacon for lunch. It was very nice meal, good sized portion, and well cooked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back!

I had lunch with a group of 11 people who all have tremor. The staff pushed tables together so we could all sit in a group. Because of our condition we made a bit of a mess but they didn’t mind. Food was excellent, staff were really lovely - attentive and kind and very efficient. The atmosphere was great and it was a very happy experience. We will go again for sure.

We found this place by chance and it was a great experience. A warm welcome as we entered, everything all clean, tidy and bright and a very comprehensive menu from a quick coffee to a full meal. We chose the 3-egg omelette with chips and it was delicious. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Next time we are in town this is the place we will go to eat.

It is the best cafe in Salisbury food is always fresh and outstanding the staff members are polite and friendly strongly recommend it!!!

Cheap and cheerful but excellent value. I had an omelette, my wife a panini. Service was quick. Waitresses worked hard to ensure tables were clean and plates cleared. All in all, a good experience.

What a cracking little cafe!!! Proper cafe!!!! Got all sorts on the menu, none of this fancy Dan shredded cucumber and Dauphinoise potatoes, just a proper cafe with chips and sausages. The Staff here were really nice and it was a extremely enjoyable encounter of sorts. And the mayonnaise was lovely. I would like to have seen Pepsi Max on the menu as I’m not a fan of coke. After the visit to the cafe I went on a walk around the town of Salisbury, and bought some winter sandals from shoezone and a new pair of pants from T K Max. I will definitely return to this cafe one day, and treat myself to one of there so called world famous omelettes. All the best, take care, Rodney
