Best Chinese in calne and surrounding area, in my humble opinion! Tried the rest, but Wok Express is definitely the pinnacle!

The egg fried rice was sloppy like rice pudding and no flavour. Chicken fried rice the same but with rubbery chewy chicken

The best Chinese takeaway in Wiltshire in my opinion. The young man at the till was very kind and handsome, very helpful staff and the food was like tasting heaven. The girl at the till was really sweet and easy to talk to. The service was very good and the waiting time was reasonable. 5 stars to the guy at the till <3

It's been a few years since we last had a meal from here as we are no longer in the area. Fantastic food as remembered. The s/s prawn and chicken balls were great but the salt chilli prawns were better with a real kick.

Wouldn’t even give 1 star! Always went to wok express! However, I ordered here a on NYE and after being told 40/50 minutes wait we thought obviously busy so tried collecting after an hour, on top of this hour we had to wait a further 1hour 15 minutes so after over two hours I rang them and a very rude “man” that I’ve never spoken to in there before answered the phone and said well we obviously weren’t busy when you ordered so I don’t know how much longer you’ll have to wait but surely we would’ve been near the top on the orders by this point, we eventually get our food 2.5 hours later and the chicken balls were pink inside and the chips were VERY overdone, never gone there since and lucky boat is now by far my go to!

This place is our go to Chinese. Unless we can't be bothered to go out which isn't often. This Chinese always serves with a smile and lovely people on phone and in person. Alwahs such lovely food. Always cooked perfect. Can't fault this place. Our fav Chinese take away in Calne

Lovely little family owned Chinese takeaway. Food is always got and fresh and always very tasty. Tonight they even stayed open ten minutes later so we could pick up our order where we didn't realise they had closed. Highly recommend for a good cheeky takeout!

The food tastes great, full portions, reasonably priced, very friendly girl at the desk. There's a bit of a wait when it's busy but it's worth it. Best take away for miles.

Favourite local Chinese takeaway. You do have to wait a bit at weekends but that's because they're so popular. Always optimistic with their predicted timings but can always get a cheeky chat with Tiffany on the counter. I drive quite a distance to get it but because it's all freshly cooked it's still really hot when I get it home

Consistently good food and very reasonably priced. The vegetarian range could do work a little expansion but when you find what you like, you know it'll be cooked how you like it every time. Highly recommended.

Lovely food with generous portions. All hot and had to wait maybe only 10 minutes for our order. I think at 10 years old the little girl on the counter taking orders is amazing. Lovely and smiley and very efficient. Great place.

Genuinely a lovely takeaway. I was greeted by a charming, polite and lovely lady and the order was perfect. Food tasted lovely, not greasy at all and was all packaged cleanly and with care. Can't recommend this place enough, will definitely come back here when I have another Cantonese craving!

Best Chinese in Calne, from the big things like the food being tasty, the food is always being freshly cooked to order, the chicken is never reheated so it is super tender. Down to the smaller thongs like the prices being good and giving kids a fortune cookie, it all adds up to a great experience.

After hearing so many great reports from friends about the food, I can honestly say that that was far and away the worst chicken curry i have ever tasted or should that be chewed?!! The chicken was like granite and was so tough and flavourless. The only saving grace was good rice and some quite tender sweet and sour chicken balls, quite how one chicken dish is tender and the other so tough??? Our little assistant who served us was delightful and gained you an extra star. Really disappointed.

Sorry but this place needs to take their child off the till. She’s very rude and shouldn’t be dealing with customers if she’s going to talk to customers that way. Not only did she tell me I wasn’t old enough to order over the phone (I’m 22) but when I went to collect my food she did nothing but sing/scream at me and wouldn’t let me have my food. She also threw my change at me. The food was very tasty but the child on the till needs to go. Because I’m sure as hell not going to be ordering from there if I have to deal with her. Sorry wok express but you’re going to loose a lot of business if she stays serving customers.

When me and my sister have a Chinese we always go to Wok Express as we love the food there. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will help you to get the best out of your meal and there's plenty of choice for your personal taste. I tend to have a curry and my mum and sister will normally have a rice dish or chow mein. Well recommended.

Lovely food, friendly staff, good prices for the area. It's a shame that they don't deliver. The timings are sometimes optimistic for phone orders, especially if they are busy. They try hard and rarely get anything wrong. I keep coming back.

Ok so me and my family only live around the corner from here,its great! Until you order we phoned yesterday for our order and the person on the phone said it will be ready in 30 minutes. So we went and then had to wait about an hour on top of that 30 -.- then when we got home our "veggie" dish had meat in it so me and my brother could not eat. I'll be honest the food is good. I do actually like it there. Sadly the service is poor. Food obviously isn't what they are good at. :(
