The best restaurants in Tormohun Torbay South West

Unfortunately I had quite a odd experience here. Rooms and generally the hotel itself does require updating. Lift was working on/off which was a issue as I had a pram. Staff were generally ok but I can't help but feel as if any concerns were raised to the owners they would make excuses. They kept on saying we should report every issue but yet they weren't approachable or they were in denial. Doors were abit stiff and difficult to lock, there were issues in the bathroom in terms of flooding and opening a window was quite dangerous as they were heavy and quite old/stiff. When enquiring about facilities for my baby they said they simply do not stock any high chairs or cots which frankly is a health and safety concern. However when moving onto the accessing the 'heated swimming pool' we were informed by Mr Purewal that they do not switch it on as its a health and safety risk after 5 or 6 pm. When I questioned why they have advertised (online and infront of the hotel) about the swimming pool another member of staff then informed me that this is a old sign. I couldn't help but feel extremely disappointed. The breakfast was delivered quite well however food soon ran out. My words of advice to the owners is please do not be offended by this review. You surely must be aware of the changes required to the hotel. Carpetted bathrooms which are not hygienic? Leaking facilities in bathrooms? Window openings? Disability access/ramps? Changes to signs if certain facilities you do not provide? Please do not act or behave shocked when these issues are raised to yourselves. You as owners have a responsibility for the upkeep of this hotel. I urge you take this review as a polite notice to review your hotel as my experience has not been a pleasant one. People are paying customers/guests so please ensure before taking people's money you are indeed providing atleast a satisfactory service.

They didn't want to give us a table for 8 and the entire restaurant was almost empty, there was just 4 persons inside the restaurant and we were very hungry. We went to ask if they had space for us and without hesitation he said no .

Waited for ages for the meals when they arrived they were cold, wedges were dreadfull and unable to eat , jacket potato was burnt , very disappointed as last few times food and service has been amazing

I am not giving any stars for this Subway. It is not deserved. I stood in front of the counter for over 5 minutes. The member of staff was preparing 2 takeaway 12 inch subways for two seated customers. Slow motion is understated. I was not acknowledged by the staff member. He did not look at me, or even say hello, or I will be with you. I was invisible. I walked out without receiving any service. Heck. I will not be returning. Something major trying is needed, for sure. The place was virtually empty and will remain so with such poor treatment.

I orderd a mc crispy & a double big mac got 2 mc crispys & still haven't recived a re fund from a previous order where I payed 4a mc flurry but didn't recive it

Waited 20 mins for drinks. Split the coffee as it arrived. Food looked like it was frozen food not fresh. Save yourself time and do not come here. The chef is clearly incompetent.

Had a great meal delivered. Ordered via Just Eat. Good portion and tasty. Driver was polite, and called before as requested,

Fills a hole and satisfies the reward centre, but with crap ultra processed garbage.

The stingy owner only gave me half a sausage on each half of my sandwich which equals to only 1 whole sausage out of a packet where as if you was to come on holiday to my home town birmingham we give u 4 sausages when you order a sandwich like most cafes do but this 1 was poor nd bankrupt I wouldn't even tell my dying emeny to eat there stay aways people save you money

DISGUSTING!!! Ordered 1/4 duck but had hardly any meat mostly skin. For one of the most expensive meals on the menu we were extremely disappointed. Spoke to the owner who clearly didn’t care and told us that’s how he received it. Appalling attitude towards what was a regular customer. I will never use this Chinese again.

They wasn't able to do a sausage and egg bap because they ain't allowed to put more than one item in the bap, I even asked to pay for the extra item but was told that I wasn't allowed either.... Waste of time

2.5 stars as some staff are good but many need to really work on their customer service skills. The drinks are okay, food is good but overpriced. Would be good if there were some more vegan options too. It is bright and a good meeting spot particularly if you have children who can play in the little soft play area for free.

I ordered the fish and chips, the chips was warm, not cooked right, the fish I had was cod and that wasn’t cooked, parts off the batter still had the batter mixture still there, meaning not cooked right, and the fish was smelling off, in the end I just put it in the bin and never been back

Food was good and reasonably priced, typical cafe menu and food. What’s sets this apart is the wonderful view from the terrace, we could have spent ages up there watching boats and jet skis in the sunshine

We joked on entry that we hoped it would be better than the fish and chips from over the way we had on a previous theatre visit. Sadly this wasn’t the pre-theatre supper we were hoping for! First soft drink ordered was not available. Then a salad ordered was not available either. So overall we are not in a hurry to return…. we’ll go back to fish and chips across from the theatre!
