We come here pretty often, it’s nice to have a small soft play for the little ones and get a coffee. Food is pretty poor, strongly advise against ordering scrambled eggs which are inedible. Brownies are nice. Staff are mixed. Opening hours vary. Was just told at 4.20 that they are closing early as ‘I just can’t be bothered with today’, it’s meant to be open until 5… really annoying . They removed part of the soft play that children could swing off the other day, seemingly someone complained it wasn’t tied securely enough to the frame. The staff member that tried to remove them couldn’t do it. They had to get a second person to help and eventually they cut them down. Clearly they were very well secured, just bizzare.

Just a bit rubbish really. Menu is OK but vastly overpriced. We have just ordered the halloumi fries with dip. What came out were five sorry looking battered halloumi fries and a tiny dipping sauce filled about a quarter of the way up. Needless to say the salad wasn’t touched. Tables are generally quite dirty and the high chairs too. You have to question how often they get cleaned. There is a policy where you are not allowed to bring your own food. They are very strict on this and will catch you out on it with their eagle eye. I could partially understand this policy if the place was hygienic and well maintained and the food was of better quality and more reasonably priced, but alas no. Staff are average, not exactly well mannered but not really rude either to be fair. Nothing much else to say on this. Could perhaps be a bit more cheerful? Play area is an utter nightmare, full of feral children with parents letting them get away with blue murder. Often there are children running barefoot around the cafe, screaming, fighting, honestly it’s like lord of the flies Riviera Centre edition at times. If you don’t supervise your child closely they will most likely get injured at some point. It’s a shame some parents choose not to follow this and let their kids do what they want. If your peckish after swimming you might be better off driving and eating somewhere else, lots of nice pubs and establishments along the sea front. Otherwise this place will do but prepare to pay over the odds for below par.

Almost nothing healthy on the menu despite the website and sign on the fridge listing salads, baked potatoes and sandwiches, there are none of these. Overpriced and poor quality food.

Such a shame that a lovely swim with my son ended with the most awful lunch experience I have had in a leisure centre. Horrible coffee and food. Menu is sparse and full of fatty food. I had the sour dough ham and cheese toastie. For £5.95 I thought it would come with some salad or crisps but nope just slapped on a plate and I can safely say it was tasteless and I wouldn’t pay £1 for it!

Unfortunately another victim of the pandemic, once one of my favourite places to eat it was a real shock to find i can no longer get my favourite star bucks chai latte and a coconut shrimp lunch that I used to crave every week! the bar looks bare now that Starbucks has vacated & all that's left on the menu is calorific pizza or fry up., it's like the riviera during the 80s again! After having our vacations downstairs I managed to convince my husband that it was a great place to eat dispite him wanting to go somewhere else, one look at the boring menu and that's what we ended up doing! Even the staff look sad. Really hope they pull it back.

Food was over priced to begin with, I have been here multiple times where there has been no hot food served due to the lack of chefs. I ordered the pizza and it was greasy, I was charged £8.95 for a small pizza! The breakfast too was £8.95 and only contained a minuscule amount of food. Wouldn't recommended…

We ordered 2 kids meals the all day breakfast and i ordered the fish I can honestly say it was the worst I've ever had. The batter was greasy and when I cut it open there was a tiny bit of fish surrounded by extremely thick batter about an inch thick which I couldn't eat. The other food we ordered was okay but i highly recommended you don't order the fish We decided to visit there as there is a small play area for our 2 year old twin Grandchildren to use. There are several signs on the equipment stating under 8 years only and max 15 children. However there were at least 8-10 older kids barging around playing tag which meant we couldn't use it. Nobody was supervising the area.

Crept away from a conference to eat downstairs in the Aqua Lounge. Good food, served quickly. Weekends looked very busy, but there was very little wait for hot food.

This restaurant is mainly catering for people using the Aqua Pool. When I was there it seemed to be families with young children so it was the usual child-friendly food. I used the option to "Make your own salad" which seemed more healthy. The only gluten-free items were cakes. (We're not all Marie Antoinette)

We enjoyed lunch with our 7 year old grandson after spending the morning in the Waves Leisure Pool. We all chose crab cakes with salad together with a side order of chips to share. The food was delicious and our grandson enjoyed playing with others in the soft play area while we relaxed with the crossword. The Aqua Lounge is a very popular place to eat in Torquay and we would recommend it it all ages.

Visited today for the first time. First impressions were good. It was pretty busy just after midday but a pleasant atmosphere. Our snacks and coffee were fine, BUT then on watching the staff behind the counter whilst waiting, we saw the male member of staff ( who we had observed as not particularly friendly in comparison to the ladies ) run his right hand through his hair, scratching his head also as he approached the grill/panini machine. He opened it and placed the same hand flat down on a sandwich inside, presumably testing it was hot or toasted. Well, our stomachs turned. That food was clearly destined for a customer and he later carried it out. It was not possible to get the attention of the staff unfortunately, as there was such a queue. We did try just to highlight this so no poor person would eat it. Yuk. Sorry. Massive training issue. We WILL NOT be eating here again.

Has been refitted and looks fresh and attractive. Menu offers a reasonable range of food and Starbucks drinks. All were good quality, well presented with fair prices. Since the re-fit the children's play area is incorporated in cafe area. What a noise ! I don't blame the children, but it's a waste of money creating a nice 'lounge' setting if you can't hold a conversation because of the screaming from the play area. Will return if it looks quiet, otherwise will move on to somewhere else.

We have visited Aqua Lounge several times over the last few weeks and have been really impressed. The decor is light, contemporary and fresh, with floor to ceiling windows and access to a large outside terrace looking towards the sea. The (Starbucks) coffee is very good and the open plan range of mixed seating facilities is excellent. There is always a good buzz from a mixed age crowd. It is particularly popular with parents making use of the play area and microwaves; where they can prep' bottles or food for little ones. There is a further coffee area with sofas and comfortable booths, as well as the main cafe area with flat screen TV. We have eaten several breakfast, tea and lunch options, including cakes, sandwiches, omelettes and jacket potatoes. Each meal has been served quickly, has been delicious and excellent value for money. Staff are friendly and polite. The only thing I would perhaps change would be the speed at which tables are cleared/cleaned, but this certainly didn't affect how much we enjoyed each visit. Aqua Lounge is a hidden gem; very close to the seafront, great value for money and with excellent parking and access for pushchairs. I would absolutely recommend it!

Much nicer, nice, light, relaxed decor, childrens play area is great is a little small. Starbucks coffee is an improvement from the undrinable muck you had before, so all good how ever the toilets are very dirty, hand drier doesnt work and lack of soap in dispensers means I was very disapointed!
