Terrace Cafe in Torbay

Waited 20 mins for drinks. Split the coffee as it arrived. Food looked like it was frozen food not fresh. Save yourself time and do not come here. The chef is clearly incompetent.

We visited a couple of months ago, although the décor looked poor I hoped that the food would be better, but it was not, instantly after ordering and paying we regretted it! Dirty, flies landing on the tables and drinks, no high chairs for young children, staff just wondering around on phones etc. We ordered fresh orange juice at around £2/2.50 each and were offered some cheap children's orange juice cartoons which we ended up requesting were refunded as they were not suitable or worth anywhere near that price! The food came and it was no better, bland, poor quality and cheap, yet the prices were not cheap. We would have been better eating at one of the chain 'unlimited buffets' cheaper and the quality would have been better. I would not recommend eating here, there is no way I would ever return.

Poor service, food was expensive and awful. A lot of better cafes to eat at in Torquay. Not recommended

Staff where ok asked for a cheese and tomato omelette came out with tomato under the omelette and not in it and the egg was green when I cut into it wasn't freshly made at all

Enjoyed my visit staff friendly and genuinely pleased to see you had a cheese and onion toastie cup of coffee which was very tasty dog friendly cafe will be back very soon

What a lovely place. Food was great and so was the service. Comfortable and relaxed, Tim and Caroline were so nice and are trying to work hard to make there business work I am not from Torquay, but my opinion is, that everyone should try and do a little bit to make local businesses like this work and survive. Thank you and good luck all at the Terrace Cafe.

As a huge breakfast connoisseur I just wanted to say what I ate last week was one of the best ever. Service was superb too so a big thumbs up from me👍

Very clean and tidy, very fast service, staff were well presented, overall great value for money, missed sweetcorn from baguette and missed stuffing from the bap but other than that the food was lovely and well worth the money spent .... Will definitely visit again, well done guys

Visited Terrace Cafe in May 21. Lovely, friendly staff. Had a beautiful full English breakfast, so good I had to go back the next day for another. 5 stars from me... thanks for making my two days in Torquay start off with some cracking brekkie! ♥️

They did me an off-menu veggy breakfast which was delicious.

New cafe so thought we would give it a try, sadly not at all impressed, bacon bap was rock hard which they replaced for us, breakfast was dripping with old black fat, it had to of been cooked in a old dirty pan , coffee was not even good, so disappointed. With weatherspoons a short walk away I don't think this place will be open long.
