Very limited selection of cakes when we visited but what we had were nice. Lovely old building off the courtyard

Visited this Wednesday morning 14 th August different cook from previous weeks, bacon roll simply awful, under cooked cold fatty bacon, also no coffee in machine owing to people filling up flasks with coffee and the staff actually helping them do it and they hadn't even bought a thing, shall be avoiding if same lad is cooking

Looking for chippy nearby to Finlake Holiday park! Went to a couple cash only and not very welcoming so instead mooched around and found The Fountain. Very very friendly and helpful staff as we had a big and varied order. All cooked fresh. Lovely chunky fish and excellent garlic mushrooms! Very good quality fish and chips coming from someone who’s grown up in a seaside town!

Cozy, friendly and reasonable prices. Couldn’t try food unfortunately as kitchen was closed but lovely little pub.

Terrible terrible food. Didn't have the Chinese as it wasnt a proper takeaway for this type of food as no hobs going to cook fresh food so assumed it was all frozen and microwaved as I couldn’t even smell the hint of Chinese food so I opted for a portion of chips a couple of sausages and the Chinese part of the meal with some curry sauce. Took a long time to come as they were having a small discrepancy with a customer! food was handled without any type of quality control i.e. sausages being handled alongside fish in the same hands with no gloves or even washing between handling of different foods so it’s good job I didn’t have a fish allergy Food wasn’t that wonderful although the sausages were hot, but even my dog turned them down and the curry sauce well that’s the most disgusting curry sauce I’ve tasted in my life didn’t taste anything like a curry sauce. It looked like barbecue sauce but didn’t taste like barbecue sauce either and after checking which I should’ve done first, but I was hungry at the time it’s got a one star with some really bad points on the food hygiene. This place is a food poisoning waiting to happen but to play devils advocate why the council is allowing it to stay open as another point.

The bar is conveniently located on our walk so we stopped in for a pint, it looked quite nice with a dart board and pool table

I believe this pub was recently sold off by Heavitree after many years of neglect. I'm not sure they do food yet but I was very impressed by the lady behind the bar (Kelly?). She knows her job and has a very good rapport with the customers. We'll be going again.

Dreadful. Ordered our meals at the bar as no sign of Wi Fi code/ poor signal to order on the app. All meals should have come with a drinks one drink was missing form the order. Lots of people at the bar so unbale to get this put right.Placed order. Not 10 minutes later food arrived. Very poor presentation, no garnish on any of the meals. Scampi & chips literally that, no peas / salad etc. Same for the other meals. This was by far the worst meal we have ever had at a wetherspoons & would not either recommended or.return.

Cosy pub we came after we got recommended. Nice selection of beers etc no fine wines which is a shame it’s just barefoot which is okay for the odd glass. Lovely and cosy roaring fire and friendly staff. Dog and baby friendly so will definitely return.
