Mothering Sunday We booked here after seeing the website and sample menus Basically, the sample menu and actual have little similarity The pub is basically not trading No draft beer , lager No sparkling water etc Having come thru the hospitality troubles and lost a business I know how tough it is But be fair on your page state limited options Remain polite, and remember the customer can make an informed decision as we did and left before we ordered as frankly having seen some food going out thought it was not to our taste One last point, decency when addressing customers costs little, an off hand rude attitude in a market where other choices exist is not acceptable Much to be improved

Just spent a relaxing and most enjoyable Lunch at the Docks today. We ordered our beers and were deciding about what to eat and discussed what we had before when mine host mentioned the chef had just made some home made Faggots. We thought, why not give them a try. Had not had faggots for a long time. It was a superb decision as they were really delicious, well made with lots of flavour and very filling. they were accompanied with mash, cabbage, roast carrots and parsnips topped with gravy. A great recommendation and at such a reasonable price. Well done Chef and mine host for the suggestion :) The secret is out now!!!

We booked a table in advance for four to celebrate my mother-in-lawās 88th birthday. The welcome, food and service were excellent. We had afternoon tea; the sandwiches were ādoor stopā size with plenty of filling. Cakes and scones were excellent. We had to take some home as we couldnāt eat it all. Perfect celebration. The only disappointment is that they no longer accept tips on credit card so remember to take some cashā¦..!

A lovely, old building in the heart of Crewkerne, this wine bar used to be an antique shop. Exellent service from all of the staff and good quality home cooked food. We sat outside in the courtyard, a rustic area. I can highly recommend.***** star

The Cross Keys is an unpretentious roadside village pub; no frills and nothing fancy but what you get is very good. The interior decorations are somewhat eclectic - the bar wall is papered with monetary notes from all over, making that wall worth a lot of cash - whilst the other walls in the bar are plastered with hundreds of beer mats! Staff 'uniform' seems to be whatever was lying around when they got up, mainly jeans and tee shirts, but don't let any of that put you off coming here. Great selection of well kept beer, ciders galore (well this is deepest Somerset, what do you expect?) and a lot of 'different' gins are all on offer. Add on large portions of competitively priced food promptly served and you'll be glad that you pulled into here - the large car park is at the rear, accessed by the scruffy road down the side of the pub.

A very disappointing birthday day celebration. Hotel sausage dog pooped š© next to our table. This had to be pointed out to the waitress. Took over 5 minutes to have this poop bagged by management, Who mumbled apologies and did not sanitise the carpet after. Very off putting which resulted in no one ordering pudding and no offer of recompense. Would not recommend if this uncontrolled inconvenienced dog is in the dinning room. Alison Canterbury MCIEH
