What a lovley little pub that is! Thank you for the delicious late lunch.

Lovely roast lunch during Easter period,with a ‘ home cooked ‘ feel. As usual, The Orchard Inn can always be relied upon for an excellent roast. Ample portions, cooked well & presentation good & piping hot. Service prompt & friendly. Will definitely be returning. I have ordered their ‘ take away’ roast in the past too, & this is always excellent & such a great idea!

Stonking prandial intermission! Succulent sausage roll, titillating torte and ice-cream. Service was expeditious despite ochlophobic conditions. Thank you to Doris, Trevor and all the team!

Ordered two box meals and hallumoi box for £35 - the box of hallumoi is two thin pieces for £6 ! Second time ordering & the chips are just crap, they need to change their chips - the meat is great, probably the best we have tasted but sadly the other items on the menu let it down Last time we had to return the order due to it being stone cold, this time is was an okay temperature but a lot of money for it not to be up to a standard/ shit sides

The entrance to the museum is too expensive

Possibly the worst lunch I’ve ever eaten ordered a sandwich and had to send it back got refunded I was offered a free pint but have to share my lunch with my wife

Popped in for take out coffee & a snack, it was super busy & the young lady was on her own but she was doing a grand job, confidently working her way thru the queue with the perfect amount of customer interaction. There was a really nice vibe to the place, chatty customers & doggy friendly, the ginger crunch was divine. Will definitely return.

Looked delicious. Ordered two pre-made sandwiches and coffee and paid. Although there were only two people seated at a table, all the tables were dirty. We picked up the sheepskins off the floor and sat at the table nearest the counter. We waited, several other people came in and were served. After 15 mins and several passes the waitress said ‘Oh, I’ll clear this up in a minute’ after another 5 minutes we went to the counter and asked for a refund. The waitress said, oh, the order didn’t come through, this has happened before! They were too busy chatting to notice.

Nice local pub, not tried the food. Plenty of atmosphere, often busy.

The Crown inn is under new ownership and now is the place to go if you want a warm friendly welcome, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and friendly locals. They serve absolutely amazing food and cocktails Harry and Ellie are absolutely nailing it and are definitely think outside the box to make the Crown inn the best pub around. The service is fantastic the staff really go out there way to make every visit amazing they work so hard. We have visited on a number of occasions now the evening meals and the Sunday roast are quite frankly the best I have ever had. And the cocktails are well worth checking out they are amazing. It's the little extras I love so we had a dry ice table display on valentines and the rose my wife received on arrival was so thoughtful and we enjoyed the tasteful live music it just keeps getting better and better. We are so pleased you are part of our village now and keep up the hard work. Kind regards Stuart

We dined at 28 Market Place on Friday March 31st, a birthday meal. We were delighted by both the food and the service. The menu is reassuringly small, but sufficiently varied, and both my pickled mackerel starter and lamb rump main were very well cooked and presented, as were my wife’s linguine and cod. .Though certainly not cheap, it was fairly priced and good value, and considerably less expensive than the only plausible (though excellent) local rival in Bruton. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience, and we would be delighted to come again.

Stopped in at the Bell Inn for dinner and a beer, I had fish and chips. It was delicious and great value. A really friendly pub.

Stayed in the bed and breakfast at the back and it was a completely lovely experience. Food was excellent, people as well.
