Oh my goodness not what we expected . Was busy but waited over an hour for a sandwich board. I had beef and my husband had prawn Marie. He had no prawns on his bread was awful and he had to share my lunch. Was offered a free drink but to be honest we just needed a lunch on our way to our holiday home ! Can’t understand why a chef would send out a sandwich without prawns ? Who does this?

Went for our firm's Christmas dinner at The Bell last week. Food was good and service was excellent across the whole team - very happy with it thank you.

The Food and the Service was good. Nothing to complain about but unfortunately nothing to impress me either. Very busy and noisy, as table and chairs quite close together but the staff were accommodating and polite and worked hard. The food was a little bland, which I know is not the norm. I would go again at a less busy period.

This used to be the pub to go to only a few months ago. Sadly with a change of management it is on a downward slope. The food is excellent especially the Sunday lunch. This cannot be said of the current manager, who is sloppy, incompetent and has no idea how to handle the customers or staff. If you want to good food then great, if you can ignore everything else.

We were staying in the area and looked on Tripadvisor for the best places for Sunday lunch and found The Bell At Broadway. This was one of the best pub Sunday Roasts we have ever had. The food was excellent and really well cooked and presented. The veg was served separately on a platter and there was lots of it. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, especially the lovely waitress who is also the housekeeper who gave us a really interesting overview of the history of the pub. The interior decor of the pub makes it really inviting and cosy. If we are ever in the area again the Bell will be at the top of our list of places to dine.

Stopped here on a complete whim on our journey from Hampshire to South Devon. Greeted very warmly by a lovely lady (not sure of name sadly) who found a table for us despite no booking. Menu was interesting with some choices different from your standard menu. I had a burger (delicious with homemade onion rings and coleslaw) and my wife had dirty fries (with chorizo, tomato sauce and cheese). Really reasonable price, delicious food and really friendly staff. We’ll be making this a regular stop from now on!

An old building done up tastefully for a change, Excellent service - really friendly, I scoffed at paying 14 quid for a sandwich but it was amazing, loads of trimmings and some wonderful pickled cabbage. Generous portions and a beautiful village. Completely random choice as was just looking for lunch somewhere but I will definitely be back next time I'm passing.

You never know what you’re going to get when you try a pub en route to somewhere but this place is a delight. The pub itself seemed full of smiling locals and despite it being April the fire was roaring to keep the rained on guests warm and dry. The restaurant seating is further back - felt less like a pub and with eclectic decor but a good vibe nonetheless. I ordered the beef burger and my husband the chicken burger. Both absolutely delicious. In fact it’s been a long time since I enjoyed such a good burger. The fries and little side salad were also excellent. If passing through this area of Devon again, I’d happily re-visit!

Nice and friendly place. Good food prepared when ordered. They have a pizza oven! Great pub you must try if you are on the 303 and need a rest. Maybe worth a call to see if they have space.

Popped here for the first time in a couple of years. We received a friendly welcome despite not having booked - very accomodating! The staff couldn’t do more to help and we were served promptly. Menu had a great selection including specials. Food was fantastic- best Thai green curry I have had, very authentic. We will definitely be back and could not recommend more. Priced appropriately.

Went for Sunday lunch today. Excellent food but slightly overpriced. An additional £1 for beef ? And at £18 per adult? £13-15 more realistic plus £7.50 for dessert. 2 courses £20 would be realistic.

Would highly recommend- will definitely be back!!

Lived locally my whole life but never visited strangely. Kept seeing posts of the food from one of my Facebook friends and knew it was one we needed to try! On arrival we all commented on how nice the pub physically was & my sister’s partner was super excited by the stone baked pizzas. We had a fantastic night, the food was superb with a great variety of options for all tastebuds. All the staff were friendly and the waitresses super attentive. Really couldn’t fault it and will definitely be back again. Our new favourite place ❤️

Travelled down from Suffolk for work. Staff were friendly and hospitable on arrival. Room was clean, and spacious enough for a couple of days stay over. The rooms are serviced every day by a lovely lady who lives across the road, as well as breakfast in the morning cooked or continental style (your choice). The actual pub it self is warming, fresh look, and inviting. The food was great, and had a nice choice to choose from. I do recommend trying their pizzas as they have a pizza stove on site with a great range of toppings.

Went on Thursday evening with 5 girlfriends .We were served by the lovely Jamie really lovely smiley guy he was just great . It is a lovely pub well worth a visit I will definitely return great range of draft beers and ciders . The food was lovely 3 had the caesar salad 2 had the mushroom and halloumi burger including myself it was delicious and one of us had the chicken burger all of us were very happy with our meals. The pizzas looked good as well . The puddings looked lovely but we all settled on ice cream as it was Styles and I just love ice cream it was very good . My one recommendation would be to put the prices on the blackboard for the cost of the deserts as poor old Jamie had to keep looking it up on the till . But a brilliant pub in a great location with very good staff .

Went for a meal to symbolise the last night of our holiday and enjoyed it thoroughly. The layout of the pub is extremely welcoming and well presented and the staff are all friendly and cheerful. We ordered a garlic bread to share between us and we’re thrilled at the brilliant taste. To finish I had a pizza and was extremely impressed by the quality to which it was cooked at (they have a pizza oven especially for delicious pizzas) overall amazing experience would gladly go again!

Had a wonderful lunch at The Bell today. What a lovely experience. The food was top notch. Must recommend the monkfish scampi. The starters were all home made and so tasty. I also must say how delightful all the staff were, especially Anna who could not have been more helpful. Well done team.

We visited the Bell at the weekend, and had a lovely time, and cannot say a bad word about the girls serving and running the bar. We ordered some pizzas on recommendation that they were worth trying.

I’ve been a member of the gym for several months now and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Simon and Gemma are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help with any questions or guidance—they’re dedicated, professional, and truly took the time to understand my fitness goals. As a person in their seventh decade, with a hip replacement, my trust in their professionalism and knowledge is vital to ensure my gym experience and activities are appropriate for me. Simon and Gemma have created a positive and motivating atmosphere, there’s a real sense of community, and that makes it such an enjoyable place to work out. I would highly recommend the gym to anyone looking for a great place to stay fit and achieve their fitness goals. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned athlete, you’ll feel welcomed and supported here.

It's cheap. But it doesn't mean it must be so low quality. You enter your room through cheap plywood doors, ones you install as a temporary solution on the building sites. Room was cold as old not maintenated rooten window had broken lock. And as it's a sash window, it was open throu the night. Standard heaters were not enough to keep you warm so you have to use privided by them - I kid you not - industrial blower. It's as loud as hair dryer and you are force to either sleep with it on, or wake up cold and possibly with a flew. The bed has dip so big on side side I rolled downhill somehow through the night from the ether flatter end of the bed and woke up with backpain. It was refurbrished by somebody who clearly either didnt care or had no clue how to do it. Mould in corners, cracks, not finished surfaces, absolutly cheapest possible materials and approach to build it. I mean, it's not hotel room but cheap cheap accomodation for workers. I was tempted by good pub reviews and hoped I found a good room in good price. Boy was I wrong.

After pre-ordering £50 of food I went to collect it, and asked for a bag seeing as there was so much of it. I was told they were 20p. I asked to pay this by card, they said no, not for that amount. I asked what I would need to buy in order to purchase the bag. They said that wasn't the point. The conversation apparently over, I waited for them to give me the bag. Instead, the woman simply said 'Shall I open the door for you?' Reader, I declined.

We had a very warm welcome at the White Hart. Our room was spacious, clean and warm - but it could do with some updating e.g. the basin had a crack in it, the shower had a bit of mould, and the shaving light didn't work. The decor looked tired overall. We had a very nice breakfast (again, the dining-room could do with a bit of redecoration) - but it was served with great enthusiasm and cheefulness!
